Alex, I just watched what you filmed. Wow, and wow, you really got some great footage. I have been to events like this, and it gets crazy busy, and then it starts raining, I had just finished when the rain started, and the next person got really wet. It almost seems not fair but, in the real world, you get wet, that's it. Thank you, Jim.
It sounds like you were a bit worried about doing a good enough job with filming so I'm compelled to tell you it came out great in my opinion. I think you did a great job showing what was going on. I really like the "electrified" catwalk what a cool drill. The skate blocks were very interesting for me as it shows the importance of having horizontal space to work with. I hadn't heard that 1/3rd rule also, so that was very informative. Thanks for running around and filming everything!
Thank you and you are right haha. I was unsure about not being able to film and convey what was going on. I had no idea what to expect. Now I know for the next time😉😉. Thanks for reaching out and letting me know🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@TheRopeAccessChannel it would probably make the videos hours long, but a more detailed look at each team rigging up and carrying out each stage of the challenge. Obviously limited on what you're able to get footage of, but seeing longer clips of those things would be fascinating
Thanks 🙏🏻 To answer your question I’m going to have to say…. It depends.. Where you live, what kind of rescues. Every region has their own requirements. It would be easier to contact your local rescue organizations and ask them. Or do you want to do rescues like on the competitions? For those things I would say a personal rope access skill level comparable to IRATA L2 and a rope rescue/rigging level comparable to at least ITRA L3. I’m not saying do this, just get to that same level. But to become a real rescue, I don’t know v because there are so many variables.
I understand it's a competition but i suppose the purpose is to mimic real life scenarios So i doubt that in real life you'll have a person on a car that's stuck in 50 meters wearing already a harness. On the other hand it would be TOO REALISTIC to put a harness on a person 50 meters of the ground and then descend just for the competition.Nevertheless excellent filming with close ups 👌
Thank you 🙏🏻. I do believe that in a post edition the teams had to resort to a rescue triangle once. But I think time and safety wise it is probably a good thing like this.
What a great event, some really skilled Techs out there.
Yes there are!
Very good job my friend 😊
Merci bien mon ami🙏🏼😃
Broeders, really love your channel.. the way you're rocking it and seeing Grimpday this way!

I’ve had the same happen to me when I did tree climbing comps. When it was my turn the tree was soaking and slippery and slowed me right down🤪💦

You say fairly in depth. What would you like to dive deeper into?

Hi mate! First thanks for all the edu vids.
Q: How can I become a rescuer? Is there any specific path to become a recuer? Greetings
Thanks 🙏🏻
