  • In today’s vlog we take a full day private tour of Oahu with Hi5 Tours! This tour was $800 for the day and we had a wonderful tour guide as well as a driver. They took us to Green World Coffee, where we had delicious local fresh coffee and we also got to try malasadas from Leonard’s Bakery! Then we headed to Dole Plantation, where we tried authentic dole whip and super fresh pineapple juice, both were out of this world tasty! We also rode on the famous Pineapple Express train where we toured the farm and got to see what kinds of fruits they grow there besides pineapple. We ended our trip in the gift shop where they sell lots of fun pineapple merch! Next we head to farmer’s market on the side of the road on the way to the world famous Pipeline Beach. We got some fresh fruits and tried some ice cream bananas. Then we got to see some pretty awesome surfing at The Bonzai Pipeline, the waves were amazing and so were the surfers. Next we stop at Waimea Falls, where we got to swim up to a waterfall! It was breathtaking and such a cool experience and the fact that Jackson was there just made it even more special. We also got to see beautiful gardens, rock shrines and water ways on the hike up to the falls. We ended our day with a stop at the food truck cove in a little surfing town on the way back to the resort. The food was so good! We had some of the best food we've had the whole trip and we had leftovers for days! It was the best way to end the day for sure! This tour was definitely worth ever penny to us, we created some core memories for sure and we highly recommend checking out Hi5 Tours on your next trip! We hope you had fun exploring with us! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

My speech delayed 3 year old talks so much (for her) when she sees Jackson. So many of her first times for phrases and words have come from her hanging out with "Jackson Baby" ❤️. Thank you for continuing to include the entire family in videos.

The legend of the half flower you were told is a bit different than the one I grew up with. Madam Pele (volcano goddess) was jealous of these lovers and separated them, one in the mountains and one at the sea. If you go in the mountains, you can find a plant with only half a flower. The other half you can find near the ocean. The legend says if you join 2 halves of the flower, it starts to rain, as their spirits are crying over being reunited with each other. Hope you enjoyed Oahu!

It's too bad that Jackson was too young for you guys to see the Polynesian Cultural Center . I believe the shows are asking for the youngest guest to be 4 and over. But when he is older I hope you get to experience it. My sister and parents went and they said it was AMAZING! I loved that you got to swim up to a waterfall. Plus now I am craving pineapple and banana Dole whip!

Jenn's lei had tuber roses, which is why she said it smells dso good. Anytime I go to Hawaii (big fan of Kauai) I get some tuber roses for the hotel room. (Safeway is a good place for affordable flowers.) That way anytime here at home in California, when I find tuber roses it brings me right back to Hawaii in memories. Plus they are such a sweet smell, it makes the room seem extra Hawaiian! I also taught my kid to pick a scent from the Royal Hawaiian brand and to wear that the whole trip, so then later they have a way to trigger their memory.

If you don't have that budget, Oahu is so easily explored on your own. Rent a vehicle (you can rent from Aulani, if you don't want a vehicle your whole trip) Waimea also has a free farmers market during the week with great local vendors. Right by the pipeline is sunrise shack! Check that out. Also, go for a hike! Green Mountain coffee is fantastic. Ugh, you were right by surf and salsa...you missed the best truck!

So glad you guys left the resort! There’s so much beauty and culture to see in Hawaii. As film fans you guys should check out the “Hollywood movie sites” tour at Kualoa ranch next time. All of their tours around the property are fantastic. Mikes Huli Huli chicken is another great North Shore spot.

I fell asleep in the car on the way there because I was in marching band and we were marching on the big island. I got stuck in my car while my family went into the bakery and then they realized they left me in the car. The bakery reminded me of this story. This looks like a beautiful family day.

That banana lumpia you had is actually called Turon! It’s the best Filipino dessert, so yummy!!

I'm so glad you guys ended up getting some malasadas! I suggested it on one of your videos 🥰 I dream of the day I come back to Oahu to get them once again. Can't find anything like them near me 😕

There's a few places in Florida where you can get some of those fruits (Even at Whole Foods/Publix) but my best bet is to check out an Asian grocery store- that's where I always get my Pomelo (its like a grapefruit but not as bitter) and Rambutan (they look scary but try them) fix!

We always head to Leonard’s as soon as possible when we visit O’ahu! Cannot beat a fresh malasada. I dream about the pink box!

So glad you got to do a tour of Hawaii! An from what you did and what you got seemed worth what you paid for. Maybe next time you visit Hawaii do more adventures around the island’s.
