I ain't no scientist or bug expert but I am almost certain that is a Tarantula Hawk. Definitely do not want to try to handle one of those live. They are bad news bears.
Definitely a tarantula hawk. Imagine if he grabbed that for bait?!?! There’s a video on UA-cam of coyote Peterson getting stung by one. It’s a good watch
Sweet dude ! Love the multi-species opportunities. We always used floating fish baskets when we were keeping or culling fish. That way they stay fresh and healthy. Nice job on your culinary skills ! Yum yum 😎
Not sure how it is now but a few weeks ago at echo reservoir the smallies were biting every cast from shore on the east side using brown trout rooster tails. Definitely recommend checking it out!
what do you look for when looking for a mountain lake or like more remote places to fish at? i want to do hikes to more remote places with rewarding fishing!
I know you’ve made bullhead catfish catch clean cooks, but you should do a channel! The best bait for them is hotdogs and bread and worm all on the hook
Love your videos man. Inspires me to do my own catch n cook. Caught a decent smallie and 3 crayfish the other day and had a small meal on the river bank. Do you worry about not putting your fish on ice right away? Thats something I usually worry about if im not going to eat it right away, but I might just be paranoid.

Supposed to be one of the worst stings you can have as far as pain
😬noted

Good comparison! 👍🏻 😊
Came here to comment that haha, one landed in my lap when I worked at a golf course, I was out and the cart was still moving😂
Nice string of fish. The cooking of each fish looks very tasty. Always love your shows.
Definitely get a pond and put fish in it. That would be nice.
Definitely enjoy the spinning real episodes

Fun stuff. I've never fished this one or its neighbor.
That little bottleneck would be my choice as well.
No way I was looking for this literally yesterday. TYSMMMMM
Man ! you make me hungry for fish!!! Great video !
Looks like a Great time. And Great food
Tip for you in the future. You forget the egg you can use that Yum Yum sauce you had. Mayo based things work as a substitute for egg with frying.
Now why didn’t I think of that🤔

that was a tarantuala hawk u saw in those boulders (blue bug with yella wings) one of the most painful bites

Depends on how warm it is outside, usually I clean them out pretty quick
You’d love the flathead and smallie fishery of some of the rivers out east
Do you prefer spinning or fly rods for trout? Ive only ever used spinning
Probably flys. More effective in my opinion
Definitely tarantula wasp
Bad ass bug
Great job. Thinking you could try using the Yum Yum sauce in place of the egg to get the breading to stick. 🤙🏻
Yeah that would have been smart😂
Nice video! Sweet hat too! 😁
Thanks! 😁
👍😊
Next time use that YumYum sause to coat the fish then dip into the fiah fry
Yeah shouldve done that🤔
looks so good
i believe that sun fish is actually a hybrid of a sun fish and a small mouth bass!!
you could have used the sauce that you had on your tailgate for the "egg wash" tasty way to do it too
yum yum sauce would be so good
the rapala is the best lure ever
Agreed
LFG mentioned!
Love fishing here always good not far from my house 👍🏽
I will be back!
@@bassntroutfishing it will turn on late October!
Yeah, that's a Tarantula Hawk and is one of most painful stings in the world.
Awesome video.
Thanks!
Hi Michael
Love your stuff, do you have any advice for growing a channel?
Just keep posting videos no matter how bad they are😅
