Oh my god, seeing that man’s face when he was told he had cancer was just absolutely heart wrenching. Especially because he was so thin and he had those big expressive eyes looking up at you. 😢 I hope he has lots of Harry Potter books in heaven

TRAGIC. I couldn't hear the one question he asked the doctor but yes, he saw and heard and felt the absolute truth. His choice not to bother the medical system was unfortunate but at least the hospice system could be called in for him. He seems such a sweet soul. I'm sure he is long gone. I hope his suffering was alleviated. Bone cancer is NO BUENO!

This program is amazingly realistic, but also sensitive to the patient's humanity. I was a paramedic, I'm seeing people in situations that are painfully familiar. And, patients who we were able to help. Thank you for a valuable look into real emergency medicine.

I feel so badly for the stabbing victim. The surgeon telling him to get over it, move on, drop it is just plain WRONG and as a multiple brain injury survivor with untreated PTSD, let me tell you, PTSD is devastating and life altering, and brings it's own damage, as well as the physical harm that crazy person did to this young man. I am grateful that the awareness around trauma has grown. It is going through the phase where EVERYONE is using the phrase, sometimes misusing it. But this young man is experiencing HYPERVIGILANCE, and I am hoping my sharing this word, which helped me turn the corner in my own healing journey, anyone reading this will take step into their own discovery. I've been dismissed, ridiculed, and waved off, but staying focused on finding out what I have been going through in my own way, I have helped myself and others to get my nervous system calmed down and (mostly) under my own control. Sending supportive vibes and bright blessings to all.

Compare the man who was stabed to the man who had advanced cancer and it killed me thinking that one man was more than likely stabed due to his lifestyle or was at the very least involved with some risky business and didn't really give shit about himself and still didn't learn his lesson since he was already calling out to kill the man who stabed him and obviousky doesnt consider how lucky he is considering he was able to be saved in the end just to take advantage of his second chance... While the poor other man "didn't want to bother anyone" ends up being in worse condition than most people still had the courage and heart to accept his diagnosis of not only having cancer but cancer that is in anadvanced stage which he probably suffered in agony for awhile and still thought of others before himself ... He accepted his prognosis with a laugh and with such grace and in the end couldnt be saved.. it really brought home the saying "bad things happen to good people & that

fresnored he’s being mouthy tho give the idea that he might’ve talked down to the wrong person which ended up in him getting stabbed. You don’t know the situation either so no one can say what truly happened

For the stabbed patient, he was clearly uncomfortable with the camera. Love this program, but I feel that the patient’s privacy should be respected when they clearly point out that they are uncomfortable with being filmed…

It's amazing, that with the advanced knowledge we all now have of cancer and what it does, and how it progresses, many of us ignore the lumps and bumps because we are petrified of that diagnosis. Instead of running TO the doctor, we run AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE...it can never happen to me syndrome. People, if you have stopped having bowel movements or your stool is black or blood red, go to the doctor, you are ill. Ladies and Gents both, if you feel a lump in your breast/pectoral muscle, a lump or bump in your armpit..get to the doctor. All of these issues COULD be cancerous....BUT THEY MAY NOT BE CANCER AS WELL!!! The earlier you have them checked, the better your chances are. Your body is a temple, treat it with reverence, it's the only one you have!!

May i say to the doctor who told the gentleman he was dying ,i admire his approach and his explanation to the patient so gentle and allowed this dear gentleman to to think about the information he gave him and wrote him up for medications to help his discomfort before he spoke to him again , knowing he would have to tell him he was actually dying . what a lovely humane doctor.Dr Karl Almed. RIP.to our patient. forgive me i don’t know his name.

just found this YT - and it seems now in some 'circles' when stabbing it is deliberate to to twist on on way out to cause more damage, esp so 'the bag' is the result for young male victims - seen as humilation - horrible thought process.

Everybody is talking about the understatement of issues but from what I can tell it’s this weird, stoic, almost slang that only other British people really understand. I don’t think anybody is trying to be dismissive of what anyone went through. From what I can tell from watching British emergency medicine shows is this:
“He may be unwell”= this could go very badly but he is young and very fit and those definitely work in his favor. “He is unwell.” = This patient is in bad shape but I think there is a reasonably good chance of recovery. “This patient is very unwell.”= I’m very worried. There are multiple things working against this patient. “This patient may not survive” = 50/50 shot at best and I’m mentally preparing myself for the worst outcome. - If anyone has any corrections let me know. Especially British people.

As a severe ptsd/ tbi survivor, im offended he just told him to gtfo it!🤯🤬🤬🤬🤬

It NEVER fully goes away and he has every right to be angry over being stabbed!
