Wow ❤❤
Nice. I have the same color scheme on my KTM 890 Adventure.
Cheers! Yeah it’s a great colour scheme. Not too OTT but still eye catching 😂
Awesome job there Ric. Really looks the business.
Hiya Glenn! Thanks mate yeah I’m loving it. Have a ton more stuff yet to fit. And a matching set for the 1290 which should be interesting 🤔 😁
Bravo Ric un ottimo lavoro… come al tuo solito 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hi Simone 🙏👍 thank you. I am getting pretty quick now at these haha 😆
Una moto totalmente diferente!! 🙂 Saludos!!

Hey up Rob! Thanks mate yeah shaping up. Hope the 1290 is still giving grins! 👍 see you next time your in 🤝
Assolutamente spettacolare!
Grazie mille, amico mio!
Thank you my friend!! Great to hear the feedback and cheers for watching 👍🙏🤝
Looking good pal.
Hello mate hope your keeping well! Only ever seem to cross paths in the warm weather 😂! As you can see I have a little addition to the workshop 👍 catch-up soon mate
@@RicardoYeep can't wait to hear it. I trust the exhaust is not oem.
@@andrewgriffiths9433 mate, that’s OEM but I’ve the titanium aftermarket on and full decat. It’s really something else listening to it. 😎
Hi rich
Just stumbled across your videos. I've had my 790r for the past 12 months after down sizing from a 1090r due to the extra weight it carries. The 790r is a fantastic bike. How easy was it to apply the sticker kit, and did you remove all the all stickers ??
Hiya mate thanks for watching! Yeah the 790r is a lively bike. Just that bit lighter for the gnarly stuff. Albeit not quite 500EXC level. I’m working toward that haha.
As for the sticker kit fairly straightforward just time and energy. Very good quality. However I’ve done a few now so have the experience a little. There is definitely a knack to it. But it’s expensive if you screw it up.. as you have to get every part right.. if you ruin one decal out of 35 the. Your gonna be gutted and the. Have to re order a single decal and wait for the order process again. 👍
No I didn’t remove any decals off the main panels. But I did remove the decals off the rear panels under the pillion seat for those bits 👍
Your such an expert fitting decals now! You did say never again after fitting your 1st one, now I think you’ve don’t about 4. I am not sure I’m brave enough 😂. What are your best tips for preparing/cleaning the surfaces and fitting the decal? Cheers Lee
Hiya Lee!! Haha yeah I did say that didn’t I 🤦♂️. I’ve got a matching kit for my 1290 on route so that’s going to be No.5 😁
As for tips well I would say warm environment keeps the decals supple. But you will still need heat from a hairdryer.
100% prep the most important. I drown my bikes in ACF50 and you need 100% surgically clean surface! Thoroughly run down with rubbing Alcohol. Then wipe of again with clean cloth.
Spray area then with water mixed with few drops of normal washing liquid mixed in a spray bottle.
Heat up the decal so it’s supple, before removing the back off the decal I clean my finger tips with some of the alcohol (but that’s just me.. will dry your skin out if too often)
Peel off the back the. Position (and may take numerous times. Lift carefully do not stretch or pull the decal, if it’s already hard to lift get the hair dryer on it and lift gently and apply more spray behind it.. it will lift. You can get away with this more times than you feel you should so don’t worry, just don’t damage the decal or get crap stuck to the back of it.
Once you position it right and start squeezing from one’s corner to the opposite, I use a squeeegee on flat surfaces and a simple mircofibre and fingers for bending around edges. Again required some heat.
Apart from these basic tips it’s literally as simple as that. But a ton of patience 🤔🤦♂️😁👍
Oh mate, thank you for this info that is great. I’ve looked into getting it done professionally but either expensive or they dont want to touch someone else’s decals.
There are limited you tube videos out there but seen a few. I know I just need to ‘bite the bullet’ and go for it.
Thanks again and look forward to seeing the SAS done.
Cheers Lee
