Crank/brake horsepower is just how much power your engine makes before taxes :) Great video!!!

Just recently I’ve failed inspection due to the o2 sensor not ready. I have done about 3 driving cycles going about 55 mph with no WOT and a total of 100 miles. I'm not sure if it's because my car battery is new or the o2 sensor going out. The o2 sensor only has about 3k miles on it. Will reflashing the ECU do anything?

    • @Smeedia

When using power at the wheels, you need to keep in mind that you need to take into account more variables such as wheel size, tire pressure, etc. The same car with different wheel configurations will give you different numbers. Crank allows you to get a more consistent power readings.

  • @13abcde

It seems to me that if brake horsepower is power produced before anything is involved except the engine, then brake horsepower would be greater than any other kind of horsepower. I need more convincing.
