I am always looking for a new way to prepare potatoes, and this hits the mark! Your video walks through the process, in a very straight forward way, and the crunch at the end seals the deal for me! It's like an onion flavored product that I'm sure a lot of us know about that you can get in the chip aisle, but this is fresh and uses potatoes! Thank You for this video, I've liked and subscribed and now I've written a review!
As a general rule onions ALWAYS go in long before garlic. It takes onions several minutes to get tender even when brunoise but the same size dice on garlic takes less than a minute. Garlic can get bitter FAST if you burn it. Even if you don’t burn it you will get a better finished product if you let the onion cook down first then add the garlic the final min or two.
I agree. I have to say tho, I don't care that she did onions in after garlic, I did onions first. I made them and OMG. Best way I've ever had a potato.
These look great but my favorite part is that you give measurements in both cup, top and grams etc. I like this because I don't like trying to figure out how much like so many recipes from other countries. Thank you for making it easy for all of us.
I just loved your demonstration it was so simple you explained everything in your video right to the very end and what a nice crunch that was 😊 yummy 🤤 so beautiful they all turned out thanks alot for your recipe mah ❤️
“If you have 3 potatoes…flour, cornstarch, onion, garlic, parsley…” 😂I’m sure it’s yummy, but I kept thinking WTH has time to make this almost every day??? 😂
This looks delicious but what I also enjoyed was the SOUND... despite the music you could hear it crunch & squeak... mash..fry and when you rubbed them together at the end... oh yes...they look and SOUND delicious!
The beautiful sound of the knife slicing throw the juicey potatoe, the splash of water going into the pot, the simmering of the pot. So capitulating ❤️❤️ We are in for a treat here🤟
It was interesting that you cooked the garlic so thoroughly before adding the onions. What was your reason for that? Also, at one point you suddenly put on plastic gloves, which seemed like an accident. This seems like a nice occasional treat.
@Wendy Alexander i'm making them tonight. I didn't make it to the store the other day, so I didn't get a chance to make them,,,But i've been to the store and back now so they're on tonight's dinner menu. I'll let you know how I did, when my hubby tells me...lol...
Thank you. Im making this tomorrow ❤❤❤ Update: omg why isn't mine working 😂 I tripled the recipe maybe that's why... it's too mushy... I'm going to pipe it into hot oil tomorrow lol I hope it's edible
Yum! I'm going to make these today. I have to agree with some of the other comments ... the elevator music can go, and you need to speed things up. We all know how to chop an onion, garlic and parsley. I fast forwarded through these steps to get to the end of the video before I lost interest.
In fact, for this, don’t add water at all. Melt more butter and add equal parts butter and flour to make a roux. Remove the garlic and onion pieces first or just Do this before you cook the onion and garlic then add it back in. Just cook the roux to light color. Though the longer and darker the nuttier the flavor.
I've emailed it to me and further investigate (found your recipe invigorating). Definitely WILL try, 😊 Oh, must not forget, loved the music as well, much appreciated........ ....
Thank you soooo much for this recipe. Outstanding. These will be a regular thing at my home around meal time, for sure. Did u come up with these urself? Thank you again. Be Blessed
Lastly as soon as each batch comes out of the oil hit them with some salt. Pepper too if you like it but the salt is a must. I’m not sure you didn’t but if you did you didn’t show it. A pinch of salt just after coming out of the oil will make these transcendent!!
@@kellyr7829 i don't if you were reading when she wrote the ingredients but she used both, she used twice cornstarch, please check the video again & this is not the 1st time I watched her, she also used cornstarch that video too, & I just one someone who knows about cornstarch to explain it to me, that's all. Thanks for the reply.
Also the flour, if you’re going to add water and flour just mix them together in a slurry then add at once so you don’t have to futz with mixing it in like this. Small technique changes like this and onion first then garlic will make a difference. Try it.
I don't know if I'd make these everyday because they look like a lot of work but they sure look delicious.
It's like being a kid again listening to the lovely sounds! Like watching my Mam cook. Thanks again for a walk down memory lane!

To save time I’d just make little round potato cakes , not rings , but they look yummy 😋

I cringed when I saw the onions go in after the garlic
My thoughts exactly!

@@christene8376 I was only trying to help. It’s tiny steps that make the difference sometimes and we can all get better, always.
Amen
I can almost taste these just watching you make them. Thankyou
I almost dribbled at the end of the video...
I can't believe all those rings came from three potatoes. Lovely presentation.😊
Looks good enough to eat. Would not make every week but once in awhile would be okay.
Thanks for sharing your recipe.😊

Hopefully you don't eat fried potatoes every day :)
Looks delicious, but my favorite part is how fresh the garlic looked
Cannot thank you enuf for this, oh my goodness. 🤤 Food of dreams.....I am so gonna make this. 😋

Great! I love it! Nothing like homemade...
Looks even tastier, thanks, curly fries. Don't think I would risk eating every week, let alone every day 😂
Oh boy, they look awesome 👍😎

Me too, it was very tedious. The music was unnecessary and the smacking at the end was annoying!
I'm going to try making this
I can't wait to make this!!!!
Good potatoes recipe ❤

Looks good! But NOT quick and easy!
totally agree .. tho' thinking cap on 4 simpler versions as Easter sides😉😋🍽️
I agree. I watched it on 2x speed and it STILL took TOO long.
❤ ❤❤❤❤
Awesome
Because he/she doesnt cut/prepare all the ingredients needed . Like she has to saute the garlic first then prepare the onion.
Ĺook delicious

Home made Funyuns! Nice! 🧅 🥔 🧄 🌿
Very nice 👌
So easy to make but can we preserve it for few days😊
Great 👌

So 3 hours later you eat seasoned French fries.
If you just smash the cloves of garlic with the skins on, it just falls off.
1st thank you but I have a question about cornstarch, is it healthy to consume it? I have no clue anything about this product.
What cornstarch, she used flour?
@@kellyr7829 i don't if you were reading when she wrote the ingredients but she used both, she used twice cornstarch, please check the video again & this is not the 1st time I watched her, she also used cornstarch that video too, & I just one someone who knows about cornstarch to explain it to me, that's all. It was Flour. Not cornstarch. Of course Cornstarch is Food Safe. Used as a thickener!
@@ayaamia2676 she did use cornstarch in the mixture and also to line the board. It is safe, just used to thicken

I am hungry and they look class but that 8 minute video probably takes like 2 plus hours to make 😂
Looks yummy. Anyway, what is the title of the background music? Thanks
Looks good.
But it is so much work and time , only for a snack or an accompaniment to the main course.
Didn't realise it was an ASMR video
I.will.try.them.soon
Humm, 5 cloves of garlic and three potatoes, I think you made garlic rings using potatoes as a binding agent,
These are called Funyuns! The music is straight off SNL Jack Handey quotes or Stuart Smalley skit.
The tune reminds me of Britney Spears 😂
How do you make the rings? The how do you cook or fry?
