Nah 5.7s launch terribly. Most of the time they either blow the tires off or take off slow as to avoid spinning. I’ve beaten many 5.7s from a roll but from a dig its not even fair. I can cut a launch so violent on a 5.7 that by the time he hooks up under full power im already cars ahead

It represents how far behind Ford was with the GT mustang in the mid 2000s. Only exception was the super limited edition Shelby GT500. Ford didn't start making real performance cars again until 2011 when the modern 5.0 came out. Back in 2005/06 when Dodge/Chrysler released the 6.1 it was a monster compared to everything it competed against.

Taurus SHO were slow even in the early 1990's..My 1974 low compression Charger with a 400 4bbl that was stock ate those cars and I had a 3 speed auto 2.45 1st gear in the trans and 2.76 one wheel peel rear axle ratio and single exhaust,wasnt even the high performance 400 4bbl you could get !!

It reliably runs 0-60 in 4.8, the 1/4 in 13.0-13.3, and it has a 3.06 rear end, not 2.81. You'd have to be running some serious drag radials and have a skin and bone professional driver to make a 12s pass in the 1/4 on a bone stock 6.1L
@@ktwosrt8life That is an SRT8 lol. I own an 07 Charger SRT myself. The SRT let off cuz he thought the race was over, you can see when the mustang finally caught up, the SRT floored it again. Plus dont forget that they swapped the motor on the Mustang. It was probably making more power than stock
@@ktwosrt8life it does have brembos. They're the same exact calipers that are on my car, just painted silver. Both the Charger and 300 did not say SRT8 on the side. They said Hemi and HemiC from factory. Most people just slapped the SRT badge on the side cuz it looks way better. They're 4 pistom brembos just painted silver to match the car. That mightve even been a color option for the 300 tbh.

That's either a all wheel drive V6 or a 5.7 that is not an SRT8
It has the Hemi C badge on the side and the SRT rims..
