This is not useless at all!!! I loved this video so much! I've been watching your vlogs everyday so it didn't really feel like you were gone from this channel lol. I just went through something pretty similar with my college (except I'm an incoming freshman) but oh my gosh it was mess. Anyways, great video! (As always) I really enjoy watching your content because of how relatable and real you are :)
literally watching this video as I procrastinate writing my 10 page research paper for my online composition class. There is literally ONE week left and it's so hard to find the motivation to finish strong. I thought taking these 2 online classes through my university was gonna be easy but NOPE, they take time and hard work. In the end, it will save me a ton of the hassle but right now I can't seem to see that. A bit of encouragement would be helpful! So glad everything worked out for you Anne Marie!
Your resilience in this situation was amazing. I'm so scared that at some point in college, I'd get screwed over like that. Seeing how you fought so hard for those credits is super inspirational.
This is incredible. I'm a junior biochemistry major / premed & honestlllyyyyy you are the epitome of resilience! After the first two things went wrong I would've been like okay clearly this is not meant to be. Props to you, everyone could learn a little something from your personality. Very inspiring! Will probably look to this video during matriculation coming up this year! Wish me luck!
hearing your story reminds me of this summer when i was trying to register for summer classes and i went through hell and back and still ended up not getting the classes. but i'm so glad everything worked out for you!!
Idk why, but I stayed through this whole video and was super super intrigued! :) I'm glad that everything worked out for you! I'm a junior in high school and by the end of high school, I plan to take a total of 8 APs! I'm super nervous for next years APs! Ap calculus BC, AP physics C, and APUSH! yikes yikes I'm so nervous!
Use crash course for APUSH!!! also there are entire quizlet sets on the website that you can use :) APUSH is a bitch but those helped me through it lol
Lauren Grace oh my goodness thank you so much!! I totally understand what you mean when a teacher just does it their own way. A B in an AP class is amazing and hey, you passed the exam! Good job!! :)
The amount of subscribers you have is such an understatement of what an amazing UA-camr you are 😭🙌 You’re so inspiring, informational, and fun- spirited. ❤️ I hope you continue to grow your channel, I believe in you!
Glad to see you back Anne Marie! That registration nightmare sounds terrible! I'm so sorry you even had to go through that! I'm so happy it all worked out though! Btw I recently did a video similar to this 😊
Wow that is so crazy!! So happy to hear that everything worked out though and that you actually got the cheapest cost. This just goes to show that everything works out in the end!
I recently finished taking 3 summer courses online too! Last semester, I decided I want to double major. I didn't get a lot of credits because I didn't take all of my AP exams. Because I took my summer classes, I'm able to double major & graduate on time! Even though this all happened before I watched your video, I'm sure there's a lot of college students who'll find this helpful. I realized I could get my credits from a CC about a month before the last day to register for classes. It was such a struggle to register, so I can totally relate to your experience!
This video is incredibly helpful and informative. I'm also a junior and I'm currently trying to find ways of taking classes that are not necessarily at my college so I can graduate on time. The communication with certain colleges can be a pain in the ass but it's good to know this process is doable. Thank you for this video. It's good to know there are others with these type of issues and concerns.
Hi Diana! Thank you so much for taking the time to write out this comment. After I filmed and watch the footage over for this video, I was really questioning whether to post it because I just didn't know if it would be helpful. So reading your comment made me feel like it was all worth it, and I'm so glad it was informative! Best of luck with your classes! xx
i found this video useful!!! Im a student at UCR and I think that accelerated summer school coruses are better because usually they just get to the main points of the course to get the credits so you can graduate on time. your situation sounded very stressful but im glad it all worked out. I luv ur videos ive been watching them since you graduated high school and i luv all of your vlogs.
I'm going to be taking classes at my local community college in order to graduate in 3 years! I'm sorry this all was so complicated for you but I'm glad it all worked out!!
I was going to take classes next summer at my university, but now I think I'll take them at the community college down the street. SUPER helpful!!! Thanks for posing!! #TheStruggleIsReal
I graduated from an early college high school and was able to take 76 credit hours of transferrable classes at a community college. Before my experience, I didn't see the point of going to community college, but it is often much cheaper, easier, and more student-professor interaction than a regular university. If you ever can't afford normal college, always go to community college and take your basics. You'll save thousands in the end🤣
I got my associates at my local community college in conjunction with my high school classes. I'm now entering as a junior and will still have to take summer classes to graduate early.
Taking transfer courses at a community college or a tech school is a really great option. I'm a biochemistry major, but I took more stats classes than Calculus classes in high school. I didn't feel comfortable taking the calculus I would start taking in the fall, but there's an option to take Calculus I in 2 semesters and then take calculus II during the summer at a tech school where you can focus all of your time in that one class, and that's what I'm doing this year. PLUS calc II is much easier at a tech school, and it's just a requirement for my major. TALK TO YOUR ACADEMIC ADVISORS THEY WILL EITHER BE ANGELS OR THE END OF YOU. Also I'm moving into my freshman dorm on Friday and IM SO EXCITED
Hey, I was just wondering... What would be your biggest tip for freshmen? I'm gonna be a freshmen in high school and I'm kind of nervous I'm gonna get lost and other stuff.
Aida Skaraite hey, I think kazzie ren gave great advice for the more social aspect of high school which will help you a lot! If you're looking for academic advice also,I would say:stay on top of your classes. Your freshman year will be a relatively easy year and building a good foundation for your future gpa is definitely something you will want to do. Get to know your teachers and understand their expectations and work accordingly. If they see that you are a diligent student, they'll likely be more merciful when finals roll around. Freshman year is a new start so make the best of it. I hope this helped, I'm sure you'll do great and good luck on your first year!!
Aida Skaraite i was a freshmen last yea, i would tell you in addition to what was said would be... not to be afraid to sit at the front! also BEFRIEND THE PEOPLE AT THE FRONT AND YOUR TEACHER! i say that because, its easier to learn at the front and the studdnts who sit at the front are usually there to mainly learn and no bullshit. also its important to talk to your teacher more and to ask questions. because when you need a letter of recommendation or reference from a teacher, they will remember your face and wouldnt have a problem doing it.
this video is too relatable! i had a similar thing where i basically just had to take organic chemistry over the summer to graduate on time and the process of finding a school that was good enough for tufts to accept credits from and going through all the paperwork was a literal nightmare start to finish
vkusz this is so random, but I go to tufts too! I recently just took Chem 2 over the summer at tufts and my main reason of taking it there was for that- b/c they said it had to be taken at a school of "similar caliber" so I just decided to pay for the class/housing/food to take it at tufts instead of going through the process of looking for a school they'd accept the credit from. Crazy that someone else who watched Annemarie goes to tufts too!
omg no way- i haven't met anyone at tufts that's into youtube!! honestly though either way if you got out of taking chem 2 with kryatov that sounds so worth it. But yeah tufts is weird about other schools esp if you're pre med but im convinced they just want (more) of our tuition money haha. anyways, go bo's representing on yt!
Studying is so expensive in the US! I live in Belgium and we pay 900 euros each year for any college or university. Books, drawing/ art supplies, train, dorm room are excluded and might depend on the city, but the classes cost the same everywhere. Anybody can get into most colleges/ universities, so that makes studying very accessible. Also we have summer courses for like 50 euros for a week. this way I was able to catch up on math lectures I needed...
I'm currently going into my second year at a community college and I'm so worried that my credits won't transfer. So happy that it worked out for you but the process you went through seems super stressful
Omg bless your soul you’ve been through so much! Colleges are so complicated and im going to a San Antonio (Texas) School next fall. Hopefully i don’t run in tooo many problems. But this was very helpful. Thanks(-:
I started college with no credits going in. I only took AP Gov in Senior year, but didn't take the AP exam. I did take summer classes for two summers online as well. I'm going into my senior year as an engineering major and am scheduled to graduate on time. So AP classes aren't make or break!
Damn! I wish I was that determined! But I literally just went to college for 1 semester and I haven't gone back for the second. So I'm supposed to be starting again this august but I have no idea what to do. I really don't like school and ughhhhhh.
You may want to consider online college. I did 100 units at my local community college, but I hated everything about it and realized I couldn't do it anymore. I'm doing online college now and it's a lot better. The big difference is I get the classes done in 8 weeks at my online school as opposed to 18 weeks at the community college. The shorter semester makes it a lot easier to complete classes and finish the degree.
I transferred from a community college to a university and I only got transfer credit for my courses. My gpa started fresh when I transferred. I think majority of schools will only give you transfer credit
Claudia C I think it depends on your state/school. Some schools/states just have the credit transfer if it was taken at a community college, but the grade doesn't affect your GPA at the university you go to. Check with your specific school's advisor
CmatthYBR so I'm not Annemarie, but I am a college junior. honestly I was in a similar situation as Annemarie where I was a few credits shy of being a junior on time. Tbh, it's just like any other class - depending on the professor and subject, it can be a really good or bad time. I took my first online class this past summer and I don't regret it! I took an "easy" elective to fulfill credits and it was an easy A. However, I found myself overwhelmed at times but they are worth it. Just be sure you get your paperwork done in time! As long as you get that squared away it shouldn't be an issue. The old cliche - as long as you are motivated and submit your work online on time, you shouldn't have a problem.
im a college sophomore, so syill kind of learning but from past experiences.. I would take online classes that arent so important or that YOU KNOW you could easily pass. Also like said.. make sure assignments are on time and if your not clear on the assignment, ASK!
I honestly can't get over the cost of tuition in the States. I'm from BC and I attend the University of British Columbia. My tuition for 30 credits "only" costs $6000. My rent even costs more than school itself
Grace De La Cruz I'm in the US; cheap colleges do exist, but most people look down at them. It cost me $2,000 for an associates degree however scholarships covered that cost so I paid none out of pocket
This is not useless at all!!! I loved this video so much! I've been watching your vlogs everyday so it didn't really feel like you were gone from this channel lol. man you went through a crazy process, really glad it worked out for you though! this video was super helpful thank you!!
I friggin love ur story time vids and the fact that literally everything that could go wrong went wrong 😂😂
I move in as a freshmen tomorrow and I'm so glad your video popped up. the more college knowledge I know, the better omg

Use crash course for APUSH!!! also there are entire quizlet sets on the website that you can use :) APUSH is a bitch but those helped me through it lol
Lauren Grace thank you so much!! :) hahaha I've heard! I'm nervous! How did you do on your exam and the class itself?
Taking Apush as well and the summer work is already killing me 😫

I go to BYU and I have done an accelerated course and I LOVE it

Did you get refunded for the dropped community college courses

Where is your necklace from?
you've been through hell and back, girl.
I'm happy that you made it!
Please tell me the community college gave you your money back
Ah that must have been so stressful. I was stressed out listening lol im glad u survived and things worked out :)
I'm currently going into my second year at a community college and I'm so worried that my credits won't transfer. So happy that it worked out for you but the process you went through seems super stressful
Not stressful at all if you follow transfer/A.A./IGETC guidelines. It just takes planning. I transferred all my courses to a 4-year with no problem.
YAY EVERYTHING WORKED OUT NOW
an add popped up right at 7:41 and lemme tell ya, I felt like I was watching a movie
This is so helpful! it gave me things to consider
Omg bless your soul you’ve been through so much! Colleges are so complicated and im going to a San Antonio (Texas) School next fall. Hopefully i don’t run in tooo many problems. But this was very helpful. Thanks(-:
Wow. All I can say is . I RELATE!!! If you did it, so can I
I took a couple of classes at saddleback during high school! Got me out of foreign language and English reqs at ucla!
now i gonna take my ap classes serious from now on. i took ap world and got a 3 but the colleges i want to go to won't accept it :(
I started college with no credits going in. I only took AP Gov in Senior year, but didn't take the AP exam. I did take summer classes for two summers online as well. I'm going into my senior year as an engineering major and am scheduled to graduate on time. So AP classes aren't make or break!
Its Addy and Liz Time Thank you for this. I appreciate it :)

First! Love u X
Am I the only one who kept looking back at the bear lol
ughhhh!! WHAT A SHAME ON THEM -_- I am so sorry!
I knew people could do this but I was never sure exactly how it was done. Thank you so much! I'll be contacting my academic advisor asap :)
+Bren Martinez yay! SO glad that you found this video helpful!! 😊
Why is education so damn expensive in the US? It’s free in Germany. I don’t get how there is such a huge difference.
Damn! I wish I was that determined! But I literally just went to college for 1 semester and I haven't gone back for the second. So I'm supposed to be starting again this august but I have no idea what to do. I really don't like school and ughhhhhh.

Oh my gosh. Get it girl. :) Woohoo! ^-^
Saddleback grad here!!!!
Lol why didn't you take the AP test? The class is pointlessly hard if you don't
do the transfer unit grades count towards your gpa?
I transferred from a community college to a university and I only got transfer credit for my courses. My gpa started fresh when I transferred. I think majority of schools will only give you transfer credit
Claudia C I think it depends on your state/school. Some schools/states just have the credit transfer if it was taken at a community college, but the grade doesn't affect your GPA at the university you go to. Check with your specific school's advisor
Keep it real with me, AMC. Would you do online college if you had to do it all over again?
