I recently picked up this set myself, and the engineering on it is _ridiculous!_ I actually just learned from this video that the right Devastator forearm tabs onto Scavenger in cube mode... I didn't notice that before! 😂 12:40 I did notice that for Long Haul's robot mode, you didn't flip out the heel spurs, and the two little panels on his chest are supposed to flip up. You can also pull his backpack up to better align with his shoulders, and he's intended to carry the chest plate piece that comes with him as a gun; here you gave him Hook's guns. 15:15 When Mixmaster is in leg mode, the front portion of the foot extends out on metal pins.
I gurantee that this video was watched by majority male viewers, I loved the patience of this youtuber, the attention to minute details when transforming the figure. I personally never had the patience as a kid to go through all dat, but as an adult I absolutely love watching someone else do it 🤫🤭😍
I really like the look of (what I'm guessing are) the group's Cybertronian-style construction vehicle forms. They're that perfect mix of something familiar with seemingly more advanced technology. My only complaint is that the connection points used for forming Devastator seem kind of.. flimsy? Just pegs stuck into holes for the arms and waist, and it didn't look like there was anything holding the T-shaped connectors into the tops of each of the lower legs.
why do transformers just look so cheap now? nothing but cheap plastic with loose flimsy joints. the designs are good, but the quality of material is severely lacking.

Looks nice but so many small parts. I'd be afraid I'd break one of the pieces off of the robots or misplace a part.

On one hand, yes. On the other, the figure is small enough that common friction should hold everything in place fine.
These are based on Dreamwave’s “War Within” comic series designs for the Constructicons. Everybody in that comic was still in their Cybertronian body.
