I actually signed a lasting power of attorney (LPOA) in the summer of this year It’s with a company named Corcoran and Dickie Solicitors I’d like to hear your opinion on them if you don’t mind Pete
Don’t know anything about them, Kevin. Are the solicitors names as your attorneys? That is, will they act for you if you lose capacity? If so, then they will charge you for doing so. You only need a professional attorney if you have no family members or friends who are willing/able to do the job.
@@MeaningfulMoney well I had a head injury in 2010 and I won a considerable amount of compensation money. They’ve been doing everything for me since then I think. Then one day I told them I was worried if they just left me because I have no idea how to pay bills or anything (currently they do all of that) then they suggested they become my lasting power of attorney. They explained it’s basically what they’re already doing it just makes it all a little more official and it apparently gave me a little more certainty that they aren’t going anywhere I’ve did a little dudiligence and that’s more what they usually do I just wanted to ask you if you knew them
There's no sign of LPAs on the Farewill website. I've called them twice and both times the person answering the call has been unable to explain or pass me on to someone who can. Although they took my mobile and email and promised to get back, they haven't. Frustrating. I don't think they are doing this anymore. Maybe check it out Pete and flag on the video if this is now a bust.

Pete I haven't got a will yet I'm in my 50s. I would like to give my wealth whatever that might be to my wife and sons
