Just wondering How often do full time firefighter applications/training/job vacancies open how long should I be looking at waiting until I can apply to be a full time firefighter

Hi Joshua, having just completed a recruitment process for whole-time firefighters last year it will probably be another couple of years before we look to recruit again. We do run recruitment processes for On-Call firefighters more regularly and will announce these on our website and social media channels when they happen.

Can you do the course in your 40s ?

there is no upper age limit to becoming a firefighter. You must be over 18 when the training begins and be able to pass the joining fitness and job related tests.
