I always thought it was more "it's glass so it has to specifically fit her" but even if they brought in another girl, he could go "you don't look like the girl I met" because he obviously still remembered what she looked like
The Prince is an icon in this movie. In the first Film he has no personality, but in this one they really made him shine. Almost every scene with him in it made me laugh. I would die for him 😂
"It would appear that more than one girl actually fits the slipper." They did it. They actually acknowledged the biggest plot hole in the original film.
The archduke (or whatever he’s called, the king’s servant) pointed that out in the original. It was the king’s idea to use the shoe to find the prince’s bride. The servant says “but this shoe could fit any number of girls” and the king says “that’s his problem” and says the prince has to marry whoever fits it. In this movie they act like it was all the prince’s idea
I feel like i need to point out two things to argue against anyone can fit the glass slippers 1. Magic(that's kinda an easy answer) 2. Glass is really hard, and for it to be comfortable to wear, the slipper must be custom made for the person. Only Cinderella can wear them, cause it's made specifically for her feet. Even if someone has the same foot size as Cinderella, they may not have the similar for structure, fun fact, our feet are one of the few distinct human body part that can identify us like finger prints. Now you may be asking, if it fit so perfectly how can it had slip off when Cinderella ran away. She had been dancing with the prince for hours, her feet must be sweaty and since glass isn't exactly have the most friction it just slipped off. And that's my argument for the plot hole. All credits come from somewhere else in the internet I remembered seeing once
Actually, Cinderella has a very small foot for a woman her age (as said in the Original Story as well) which is why the shoe wouldn't fit the other women (cause theirs were too big for the shoe; unless a child would wear it). Also, the shoes are magic shoes and have been solely made for Cinderella, if someone else would try to wear it will fail.
Everything else aside, can I just say I love how the king takes a liking to Anastasia and ends up bonding with her despite her not-so-refined dorkiness?
