This is a great summary! Here in Georgia, they think the rebates should be available by Oct. I have 2 old heat pumps that are both basically on life support. I hope they get us through the summer and then replace them. I haven't seen anything that says we could do the upgrades now and claim a rebate later when the state works out the details.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Some other states said the rebate will be deducted at time of sale ... Hopefully Georgie does same.. so yes you have to wait.. Thanks for watching.
Sounds really good, but where are the rebates? Anyone can get the tax credits, but the whold thing about rebates is a complete failure and only gives homeowners false hope. Have we gotten any closer to getting rebates? NO. In fact it gets more difficult. Only contrators can apply for it, its not retroactive, your home will need to be tested, only applies to top of the line heat pumps, and more and more red tape. Dont even get your hopes up. Rebates will not come easy, they're already so far out of reach
When did this video .. we thought that rebates would be available in about 6 months ... sadly there is only 2 states that has implemented the rebates so far...more states coming Perhaps there were reasons to give money to states but in hind sight. the whole thing should have been federal ... apparently states work slower than the Federal gov't. The Fed even gave money to states to administer these rebates... here is link to check your state. www.energy.gov/save/rebates
I have solar on the roof. But if we lose power they don't work. So how can I use the power from them I know there is a way to at least to run a Refrigerator
If you have enphase IQ 8 inverters It can provide some limited power of sun showing on solar panels If you have a different brand then you need to buy a solar battery Such as Franklin WH or other Brand
You didn't go to what the actual cost of all of this to install is going to be you have to pay a company to have a guy come out and install all this shit the government isn't going to pay you even a quarter of what you put into it not to mention the fact that we're putting so much strain on our electrical grid as it is that all this electrical stuff is just going to cause rolling blackouts
Are you ok? Your really negative! Rolling blackouts are caused by electric shortages... usually from utility having problems at their electrical generation plants and unable to keep up with demand-- see stories about Texas having this issue. The whole idea of these incentives to is to enchorage homeowners to make their home more energy efficient, use less electric . this will help use less electric.
@@solarbygreengreg yes but why are we having these issues I believe clean energy is a good thing but the way the government ruled this out was completely wrong we shouldn't have shut down everything that actually kept our grid strong they could have slowly rolled this out and made it a lot more competitive the reason we're having rolling blackouts if you really want to get into it is because we've shut down the cold plans we're shutting down anything that we have that is stable for our grid I'm sorry but these wind turbines and solar panels are not the same equivalent of energy we used to have
Since the the HEERA state program not released yet I'm not sure .. but I'm thinking it's whatever you earned in previous year ... since you will get rebate in 2024 I'm assuming your income for 2023.. W'e will have to swait the program to be sure .. Thanks for watching

Thank you for sharing all this info! Do you know if I can claim any rebate or tax credit for replacing my home roof?
Not that I know of

Is income an estimate of what you will get in 2024? What happens if you earn more than what you thought? You would owe taxes in 2025?
