His entire debut album in 2012 called "Lace Up" is an absolute banger. I strongly recommend you listen to that one because it chronicles his struggles growing up in Cleveland. • @rainingglitterr4733

His general admission album has some super underrated and deep songs. Story of the Stairs is about his mom leaving him when he was 9 and just showing up years later at the doorstep expecting a relationship. Merry go round is about heroin addiction which he struggled with as a teen. Spotlight with lzze hale is about struggling with being in the spotlight and how it amplifies your demons. Gone is about a medley of things. Especially becoming a dad young and then his dad and their rough relationship. I could go on and on. Bloom and Hotel Diablo have a lot like that too. Lonely from his newest album is a heartbreaker about him finally getting in touch with his dad only to be told he has cancer and watch him die months later. Hearing his last breath over the phone.

I grew up feeling so alone and abandoned and MGK hits the nail on the head with his music. I totally appreciate where he is coming from. Much love and respect for you MGK, we love you

When he talks he sounds like me when I talk, with the pauses and studders, and the way he explains things. Aswell as the dictions. It makes me happy and gives me hope that I can be an artist with all I go through
