My major gripe with many of these third-party controllers that dock with the switch is that unlike the split pad pro these don't have the back protection that keeps the railing safe from getting damaged with heavy use.
How does the railing get damaged? The split pad pro backing just ends up scratching the console if that's what you're talking about. If you're worried about it bending when it's dropped onto its back, you'd need some sort of bracing on the screen's side
sorry, that's what I meant. My concern is that they're heavy. The split pad pro has the braces in the back. However, I don't know if anyone has had experiences with third party controllers and if over time the railings of the switch have bent due to the weight@@iMind-Juris
@@Lag1914I imagine that the plastic of these consoles will damage and fracture before the metal railings of the switch have a chance to bend, but I do see the concern
The D pad is garbage. I bought a pair for my birthday. Couple months later the d-pad just crapped out. They replaced it and the new one went out faster than the first.
I don't plan on buying these hall effect ones unless my transparent Hyperions start to drift (which they shouldn't if I don't abuse them). However, it seems like the biggest difference is the L and R buttons - these Doyoky ones have a membrane button instead of the more clicky buttons on the Hyperions. Mine also have a good amount of axis sticking that I haven't been able to remove with calibration on the console (probably from poor factory calibration), and the hall effect ones don't seem to have that issue (as much, at least).
@@tostibrand1273 I believe the Hyperions connect the same way any joycon would (which is a bit of a headache). I have the Hyperions and could try at some point - or have you tried already?
I heard from some reviews that the DPAD can be kind of fixed after you opened up the left controller, and removes the stickers, can you confirm that this is still the case? DPAD really is good for fighting games nowadays, and in some games, extra commands like select weapons, do a taunt, or use an item. But for fighting games only, if there is the Hall Effect sticks, the player can just use the joysticks for command inputs, just like how it was in the arcade. I am used to play fighting game on a keyboard on PC, but I am getting used to play them with a controller, and it seems the Hall Effect sticks can help a lot for me to get used to playing with controller.

In all seriousness these look super cheap towards the competitors, the rgb on the buttons literally bleeds into the side rails which says to me very little care was put into the design and they most likely copied someone else's homework

They should do as they're Bluetooth but I haven't actually tested it yet! Thank you, too kind! 😁
the older ones do not work on pc so I'd be shocked if the new ones did @@128KB
@@bland9876 nonsense, i use binbok joycons for pc and set them up to simulate kb n mouse via rewasd, same as "directedinput" on YT.
Is it confirmed that Hall effect joysticks mean zero chance of joystick drift?
It is confirmed. Hall effect sensors were used on the Dreamcast controllers back in the day, and they have never reported joystick drift.
There was an issue with the deadzone and accuracy on the outdated version of the Hall effect sensor called JH13, however this controller and the upgraded Doyoky GameCube joycon coming out next month, both use the upgraded JH16 Hall effect sensors released in April 2023. These are the ones to get. 👌🏻
🏅
@@ExtremisInvictus that is great to hear I’ve had enough of badly made drifting joysticks on switch controllers hopefully this will be the end of it.
My bin bok always disconnect mid game
calibrate your controller to fix it.
Is it bad to say I bought these after 5 seconds of this video “I can’t believe I’m gonna say it but I think these are the best joy cons” …. Say no more my friend
Me watching the “Let’s compare, the Nyxi Wizard, to the Doyoky, GameCube controllers.
Haha! I'm glad you have faith in me 😅
Same here man! Also Binbok confirmed on their official discord that these, and all future Doyoky Hall effect Joycon controllers use the upgraded JH16 sensors, not the older less accurate JH13 sensors. JH16 only hit the market April 2023 so honestly that’s huge. 🤘🏻
can somebody give me the amazon link to these

I heard some people say that third-party joycons are able to brick your Nintendo Switch, is this true?
Not from my experience, any specific ones people are saying this happens with?
Very similar to IINE Neptune which im using now
Another one I can’t find in the uk 🎉
Links in the description. I'm UK too but of course this is a 3rd party company based in China, no UK retailer stocks these, you must order from the website
Just picked these up and I really dislike them the triggers and bumpers have basically no feedback and the rumble is worse than the normal binbok. Hall effect sensors are nice but I’d rather just use my normal binbok controller.
That's fair enough, the bumpers aren't the best but I find the rumble (and dpad) suck on all of them tbh, it's something I've complained to them about forever.
They've got some new ones in development with HD rumble though so I'll be sure to show everyone ASAP
He sounds like stampy cat
After 1 Year of use the Dpad doesn't register 50% of clicks. Kinda disappointed.
Analogs need to be more at angle like in xbox controller. Analogs under buttons is a shitty way to use a controller.
Is this better than the GameCube version
Does they drift?
They've got hall effect joysticks, so no drift
In all seriousness these look super cheap towards the competitors, the rgb on the buttons literally bleeds into the side rails which says to me very little care was put into the design and they most likely copied someone else's homework
Most that look like this are made in the same factory, regardless of brand but yeah there's better on the market now. Check my video of the MOBAPAD M6S & HD, HD video dropping Friday.
@128KB will do buddy, really interested in some joycon replacements right now. Thinking Nyxi but if there's something better or more feature full I'd rather find out now rather than later!
It is not a manufacturing problem, it is that these controls have side lighting.
Definitely sponsored
Nope but if you want to contact them to pay us for our work we'd appreciate it!
Please stop it with the RGB 😭
It seems every manufacturer just adds it now but luckily you can just turn it off
I already have the joycons
Awesome
Once I see the d pad thts not gonna be great for fighting games had the same issue with the bin boks
ok dude, fpr Nintendo Switch this is a Jackpot already. I like it
Yeah they're great!
@@128KB 🐈 I'm still waiting for the controller 🎮 that I wished for. But for my Nintendo switch this one is great 👍
