Nice job. I can't argue with anything you said. Good choices all. Nobody cares but, (personally), every year Beverly and I watch (among others), "It's a Wonderful Life". I wouldn't expect anyone to share my love of "It's a Wonderful Life", but that moment (at the end) when George's brother lifts a glass and says to the crowd in the living room, "To my brother! The richest man in town!" I always get a little choked up. (In fact...I did it just now while writing this.) :) Merry Christmas Gary.
Would you believe that I used to hate It's A Wonderful Life? Just never got it. I'd watch it every few years and it did nothing for me. Then about five or six years ago I gave it another chance and yeah, at that same moment I choked up as well and now I love it. I guess I just hadn't made it to the point in life yet where I appreciated it but now it gets me every time. Merry Christmas Randy and Beverly!
I have to admit that White Christmas is one that I've never really loved. I keep meaning to give it another chance and then I always run out of time. Gremlins just barely missed the list for me as that one is an all time great for sure.
The whole "Die Hard IS A CHRISTMAS MOVIE!!" thing annoys the shit out of me. I really don't care if it is or isn't, but if you have to insist something is something all the time, it just feels try-hard. Also, if it is a Christmas movie, it should be at #1. There's no way The Ref is a better movie than Die Hard.
It's not so much that we have to insist it is all the time as much as the anti Die Hard Christmas people won't shut the fuck up about it so we have to constantly defend their moronic takes. And I just love The Ref which is a yearly watch for me while I alternate between Die Hard, Die Hard 2 and Lethal Weapon each year for my Christmas Action fix.

I thought I was the only one who really enjoyed Scrooged! But that one, landing at my number 8, great list!
It's such a fun movie! What are some others that are in your top ten?
