If I had to make a suggestion to realistic rebuilds is to evaluate how a player is playing on another team even if they’re a high overall. If it’s a bad team with an 88 in his contract year it’d be realistic to trade him for prospects. Likewise look at middle of the pack teams because if they have a player doing well it wouldn’t be unrealistic for them to decide to tank and trade away good players.
It depends on how many years that middle tier team has left on their contract, especially if they are on their rookie arbs still. Like look at the guardians, they only trade players once they are within 2 years of FA, and even then it’s mostly just the year before the player hits FA. And it makes perfect sense too, use them while you still can
Was never said that Ohtani was gonna be traded for sure. That’s purely a rumor going around. Arte has said that he doesn’t want to be known as the owner who didn’t resign Ohtani.
@richardtherichard26 Right now, I'm midway through June , I'm playing as Arizona. Christian Walker has 32 homeruns and I think 70s in RBIs. Also 90 something hits.
Could we possibly get a how to train players up video like you did the scout one but I feel like I keep rushing prospects or to long and they miss there prime.
My Angels franchise I signed Soto and Tyler O’Neil in free agency and moved Trout to right. The lineup is nasty with Trout Soto and Ohtani in the middle.
The day after the last signing day (August 2nd I believe). It will be on the main franchise screen at the bottom. View Draft Picks. Something like that
Love the idea of a realistic rebuild but not a fan of how this was done. Feels way too much like you’re comparing it to how the players are doing in the real world right now even when it was 2 or more years out from the start. Personally I feel like you just have to go based on what going on with the sim if you’re going realistic and just don’t go insane with free agency and trades. Like just stick with the trade block if you need things at the deadline, and otherwise just draft players you need or pick some up in free agency when it’s not crazy.
I feel that. I do feel like I have to base it off real life a bit just because certain teams aren't going to move certain players. But I do understand the main focus being trade block, and what is going on in sim
Realistic rebuild? We always like those! 👀

You should try a rebuild challenge where you only use left hand hitters and left handed pitchers
In one of my franchises the angels traded Ohtani away and won the WS twice in a row directly after that
