From what I’ve read and understood, I think this episode is about Ena pretending to be truly happy with a mask being part of her. The mask probably represents her pretending to be happy on her blue side but is still sad/depressed. Going through all the acts, she now accepts the sad part of herself which is why the mask dies.
Looking at the character designs and dialogue from the house Ena enters, it has things that go with a theater which goes well with Ena playing pretend. Idk but that’s what I think and get from this episode.

🐺Hello, as a system we heavily relate to ENA!! The visualization of understanding the world via different perspectives is refreshing and honestly I find it strange you see it as "horror" or scary since simply living in normal life outside of our headspace is kind of scary for us!-Meadow; Also the "mask" is a pretty literal representation to what we do in public, basically having a stable and relatable mask that can be reflective and perceived as "moderately normal" to others. It takes a lot of mental energy and puts us in a lot of strain though its less of a hassle than being harassed by people for being "weird" or accused for mental illness stigmas.-Lily
