I was wanting a video like this since you mentioned that you spent some time on the porch of your cabin "in theurgy" a couple of days ago. I had been curious about the actual process in action and what works best, in your opinion. While I have been considered rather intelligent by some, I seem to lack an ability to take information and knowledge out of the classroom, as it were, and apply it in everyday life. I can grasp the concept and analogies you present but I often can't seem connect the 'concept' with day to day applications. If you could, sometime, touch on how you practice theurgy in everyday life, it would help immensely. Thank you.

If I was to say I had a fault, it would be that I have a tendency to overly complicate the already complicated, having the curse, if you will, to see words or phrases in extended and yet, connected contexts. That makes it difficult to grasp, sometimes, what a person is really trying to communicate.
For example, Ken rails pretty hard at times about "meditation" and it's current integration within certain contemporary Eastern spiritual practices but I see the term and it's definition, even within the confines of those spiritual narratives, to be wildly variant in nature. Perhaps he is being specific about a particular type? I do not know.
To some, "meditation" might have one or two definitions but I could go down a rabbit hole on examples of meditation and I see nearly ALL of them connected, in some way, to each other even though there might be different coats of paint on the outside.
To me, for example, sitting on a porch and revisiting one's behavior for the day is meditation. Reading a scripture and pondering on it is another kind. Taking a barefoot walk in my back yard and immersing myself in present moment awareness is another. Sitting in a chair and doing meditative breathwork to reach a state of physio/psycho/spiritual coherency to clear out the mental cobwebs and mental clutter to see things as they really are, is another. Even vacation or a road trip is a form of meditation. I see all of these as just a form of 'maintenance' of our being. I see it as a tool for clarity and re-alignment of one's emotional energies and focus. I see nothing threatening in it whatsoever. I don't see it as THE way to reach some form of spiritual ascension, but merely as another tool in the toolbox, as it were. As such, I wonder if I am missing something that Ken is trying to say and it is frustrating.
I hope the example above can help explain my dilemma. The word "theurgy" is no different. The word, itself, is a word that starts the rabbit hole thinking in my head. Thus, I felt that if I could get a real-life and candid example of his practice, then there would be many less chips that have to fall into place for me to fully grasp his mindset. I feel it is important.
My wish for all sorts of clarity, I suppose, is all ultimately tied into our spiritual destiny and how we have a part in it. Ken once stressed, in one of his videos about how dis-embodied spirits happen because people die in states in which they are still 'connected' to this physical realm and become ghosts (I paraphrased this). In an analogy, using a pencil, he seemed to stress our necessity to be able to 'drop the pencil' as it were, when it's time to move on. I ultimately want to be in such a similar frame of mind that, when it's time for me to go, I won't let the screen door hit me in the ass on the way out! ;-)
All this verbiage aside, I would like to know if you have suggestions about what you mentioned in your reply about 'false identification'. I'm really interested. I know and understand about the false self and all that but what you mentioned is something I'd like to educate myself more on.

All the words in the world, no matter how eloquent and beautiful, are useless if the thoughts of the communicator cannot be properly grasped and digested by the communicatee. I cannot connect being tired and ready to fall into bed and the process of theurgy together, but I want to. That is all. I was asking, perhaps in a round-about way, for clarification as your explanation seems so vague and ambiguous to me.

Ken, that is my favorite shirt of those I have seen you wear. 😀 Listening to your radio explanation for signal reception and signal source (which I have found you prefer to ignore the source). Anyway, I always find I want to focus on that source, so I am going to venture a bit off topic here. Years ago, I ran across claims by a Canadian named Troy James Hurtubise (pronounced Hurt-2-bees) that he developed a device that could render physical objects invisible. People made mockery of such a notion, but they showed his device that looked something like a futuristic cannon. As I considered how it might work is that it collected the reflected light of objects it was aimed and processed those light frequencies to create a phase-inverted signal, that was in turn beamed back to the source of reflected light collected. To my way of thinking, that would cancel out the transmitted signal being emitted from the source object. From my reasoning, that would essentially render the source invisible. In the article I read, if I recall correctly, France bought that technology from Mr. Hurtubise (who I think is now deceased). Have you run across this story?

I especially ask because if you go for a fundamental science book chances are it will not be close to the truth but a lot of it will be inaccurate and hard to discern for the beginner as a reliable source of true knowledge

You mention in this video the red filter, in other videos you've mentioned the red color is borrowed by aka loaned to the white light but that would imply what is borrowed would have to be returned, if not returned would that not be stealing? If the red is in fact being stolen would the red filter eventually become clear/white?

@Cody Can That Ken fella isn't always clear, I'll try to clarify...
The red wasn't loaned to the white to begin with.
The red was cast out from the white for suggesting that sound and light are emissions and that Counterspace is a bit of room on your worktop.
In the end red just got really hungry and returned humbly to white thus giving us the parable of The Prodigal Son who in turn, after an epiphany on the road to nowhere, created dielectriciy from one of Adam's ribs, I think.

@@kathodosdotcom, there are specific forms that you could define, e.g. shikan taza, Nei Dan, Vipassana, tummo yoga, etc. Since we're all in different situations, and have different challenges, these all have different applications and effects.

Ken, you’ve probably said this somewhere, maybe many times, but would you define “wisdom” please. If it is “proximate to self” i think I’ve heard you say, it would fit the goal of meditation I’ve heard described as to first focus attention away from things and situations and identities until one is just conscious, not conscious of... Which sounds to me a lot like being “the signal” in your radio example!?
It appears to me that permanent liberation is impossible. While rebecoming is avoidable, the "first" becoming is not. Like water being constantly filtered, but never purified. Rebecoming is unpurified filtering, while becoming happens after purification.
If becoming was avoidable we wouldn't be here at all.
The pristine absolute is ultimate rest and is always superimposed on the objective. Perhaps sleep is important to Theurgy? Sleep is the closest thing to pure subjectivity while we are alive.
Or maybe I'm just full of it.
