Thank you for letting the public hear the whole show. I believe this was my first time hearing in its entirety. One can tell the two men loved performing this script; the audience is just besides themselves.🤣
Jack: Allen! You haven't seen the end of me! Fred: IT WON'T BE LONG NOW!! This was always my favorite episode -- and I have always been the biggest fan of Jack Benny. You can hear Jack breaking up as they ripped the clothes from him. I truly loved Jack -- There will never be anyone else like him. One of the few times Jack broke down in tears was when he learned Fred Allen had died - in real life, they were the best of friends.
These two guys are now part of Americana eternal. I'm grateful these programs are posted on You tube. They give us a glimpse of when radio was "television".
A classic. Kenny's closing ad comments were cut off by the NBC ID. The Benny-Allen 'Feud" (in truth, Jack and Fred were good friends) made for some classic radio.
Not only that, but some people who were there say Benny's shorts had "LS/MFT" emblazoned on the rear end.. (FYI, "LS/MFT" meant "Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco"; Lucky Strike was a long-time sponsor for Jack Benny's own show).

Thanks for putting up the entire program, rather than the shortened version from Longines that circulated for years.

25:35
The last 4 minutes of this show is comedy gold. They actually de-pantsed Benny onstage.

"You'll be guest conductor of the 11:05 garbage run through the Bronx!" Comedy doesn't get better than this--just pure genius!

Oh my gosh... those list of prizes for the King ;D
Listen to the audience howl when the disrobing begins.
Kenny Delmar was cut off by NBC at the end. The skit ran long due to the ad libbing and all the laughter by the audience. Comedy gold.
My favorite episode of the Fred Allen Show....😅
