Almost gave up on my piece but then you happened. Thanks a lot. Although i cannot adjust it on one side, but it's 100× better than not being able to use it all or buy a new one. I can still adjust it from the right end tho. Loads of appreciation brother. ❤🎉

@@TechscrewDIY I gave up. Since it’s two sheared off ends with nothing to work off I thought I’d just slather the whole section with gorilla glue which hardens into a cement rock like blob. But the curve of the band which keeps wanting to pull away the two broken ends and the way the working ear piece keeps flopping over to get in the way like it’s deliberately trying to drive me insane; plus the fact you’d need a whole set of clamps, braces and possibly pulleys to keep it in place while the blob dried...and then the sneaking suspicion that the whole thing would pop apart instantly after all that work anyway has led me to the conclusion that I’ll put them back in the broken stuff box which should have been tossed in the garbage years ago and then I’ll try again in 2 or 3 more years because I’m an idiot.😀
This worked like magic, thanks dude, I hate throwing away otherwise completely useful things. Also, learned a new process for fixing things in general, superglue with some baking soda + wires is probably widely useful, like concrete for plastic things:)

this is incredibly i broke my ps5 headset after only 2 month of buying it and I thought it was the end but after trying this the mix of glu and baking soda is incredible
A few months ago, I snapped one side of my headset. I watched this video and the method worked very well, surprisingly! Now, the other side has snapped, so I’m back here again🥲 thank you sooooo much for this video!!
I have the JBL Quantum 350's and this EXACTLY happened to them, and what I did was use hot glue to hold it together, and then cleaned the exes off, THAN this is important, I used a plastic bag to wrap around it with more hot glue, and I wrapped in with black electric tape. it is now stronger than it is before, and I can not imagin any breakages anymore, also it looks clean, and crisp.
I did almost the same thing with mine. a very good one, good bass, no noise and excellent sound. it split on each side in the band. Of course, they always tell you to throw it away and buy another, but the problem is that I can't even find it in second-hand stores. I'm talking about the > Headphones & Speakers BT161SP.
i taped mine using black duct tape and i put cardboard on each side to hold the joint in place. no glue required. it hold well but it might not work for all kinds of headsets.
Can you too apply that trick if it is instead like it is round? Like the part that broke in the headphones in your vid is flat but mine is like round shaped
What if the Sponge part of a Gaming headset wants to come out or the top part of the Sponge that makes the top of your head comfortable. How should you glue that part???? And what glue is best needed for that case?????..
@Techscrew DIY yea I was able to crack the plastic housing and extend the hers thing unfortunately for me the snap is not in the middle but at the bottom making them unable to be reinforced, so I have had to wrap them with tape, it means it does not cup 2 ear properly:(
@@allanayala-barrera1450 I’m guessing your stealth 700s broke right under where the headphones swivel (the weakest part of the headset .. I had 2 pairs break in that spot ) if that’s the case then YES it absolutely works
Saddly this type of connection does not work by elastic work of headphones. After 1 day of unsin it brake. Better is some type of Epoxy and metall reinforcements
My razer kraken headset broke on one side just like in the video. Why they are so fragile? I used to own headsets that last years before something like this happens. I think I will just buy new one without any plastic if possible. This headset didn't even last 2 months and it broke what the hell.
I tried gorilla glue and 2 pieces of thin plastic on either side, clamping was almost impossible. It's not going to work which sucks because the they still work sound great, just no way to hold them on your head. They should design them so you can replace the head band part. I fixed my razer headphones using the same method instead it was just broken at the top, good video advice works perfectly

Helpful and funny too! Mine broke apart right where the earpiece meets the band so there’s no extra plastic to work with, but I’ll give it a try.
good luck and wait for feedback :)

what is the dimension of the soft wire you used?
What thickness would you suggest for the metal wire?
1mm is enough

Super glue can be carcinogenic so that’s why you should consider wearing gloves”
*Proceeds to continue using his bare hands*
fumes from glue are more dangerous than getting on your hands, use it only in a well-ventilated area.
Eh I don’t mind getting super glue on my hands I can literally get rid of super glue on my hands
It needs to be a clean break ie all the parts can form a solid bond. Why the baking soda though?
thank you very much

thats literally the same model as mine. I only have for like 1 year, Razer it is that fragile?
