@@stevensaxon8888 Yes the rifle came with this scope. I'm pretty sure this particular model has been out of production for a really long time now. I believe the model is the leupold mk4 fixed 10x with duplex reticle and M3 turret. Only option will be finding one on the used market.
I went to the SF Q and graduated in 88. A few years later this rifle showed up in our armory. We said no way it’s sub MOA. Boy did we love this rifle. And our SF snipers (SOTIC) stuck with our bolt guns. That is just one ODA experience but we really enjoyed the rifle. Shared to my FB page.
Man really appreciate you commenting with real world experience from when this rifle showed up! Curious, were the rifles in service at the time suppressed? Optic wise do you recall what most of them were equipped with? Seems like information on how these were fielded is rather rare. Thank you!
From a friend of mine: We had them for a short time at 3/1. I liked it much better than the M21 or the M24. Leuopold scope and as I recall, it was a commercial variable with a 1” tube. We had to order them (borrow) them from the SOF warehouse at Blue Grass Arsenal in Kentucky for specific assignments. No suppressor on the ones we used, just a flash suppressor. It was the early 90s so the details are a little fussy.
They were fielding it at SOTIC when I went through in the late 90's and we had them in 7th via the warehouse request. It came in a kit with a huge suppressor and weighed a ton when you attached all the goodies to it. I/we took one down range to SA several times. Later on down the road, I/we got the upgraded mk/mod version from Knights Armament, which became known as the M110 when it was given to conventional Army, which is lighter and has a different scope and a shorter/better suppressor.
@@MountainsMulletsMerica We still had them in the armsroom at B/3/5 when I was there circa 2010-2015. They were missing their bolts so I contacted Knights to see about getting replacements. The owner got back to me and said the bolts had probably cracked after thousands of rounds of use. The military contract required Knights to proof fire every bolt (fire a way overpressure round) to ensure their strength. However he said this came with the cost of cutting the bolt's lives in about half. I was unable to get new bolts by the way. I think it came down to the fact the SR-25s were basically hand-built versus the M-110s which are much more mass produced. The SR-25 bolts weren't in production and you can't just pop in an off the line bolt and set the headspace.
This is my third or fourth video of yours, and man this is the best long range shooting content I have ever seen!! Technology, cinematography, and your knowledge of what your doing at seemingly such a young age is really quite amazing!
Thank you once again! I'm really enjoying getting to share my lifelong hobby of long range shooting through the channel. Super fun plan content, shoot it and share it, especially when folks seem to enjoy it!
Three weeks ago I did the exact same thing took a brand new 93 sr 25 and shot it for the first time. In the first 20 rounds I had feed problem and they went away after 20-25 rounds and then the bolt hold open started to work after about 35 rounds. I also lapel the barrel over the first 25 rounds! What a gun!
Glad to hear your feeding issues went away after a handful of rounds. Seemed like my rifle started to behave better after putting about 50 rounds through it or so. Maybe these older guns need a bit of break in. Really I’m just glad to hear I’m not the only one to decide to put rounds through one of these old unfired pieces of history haha. Thanks for watching!
@@MountainsMulletsMerica So, did you or Jim end up buying the one Ian (Forgotten Weapons) featured in a video a few months ago right before it went to auction? That one went for like 11K.
@@MountainsMulletsMericaI had to shave down the follower on my original magazine for it to feed correctly, I just switched to MK3 pmags and they fit/drop soooo much better.
Went to the Ft. Benning Sniper School (3-93) and back at Ft. Campbell got to share range time with the 5th Group Snipers and attend their first Sniper Sustainment course. Absolutely fell in love with this rifle and haven’t stopped raving about it ever since. Astonishingly little recoil.
I really like your presentation style. Not coming across as a know the outcome before you try it , that's refreshing to me just shoot it and flim what happens. Also love that you have the audio right! Nothing more annoying than bad wind noise in the audio when clearly it can be handled
Thank you! Most of the videos I’ve filmed so far I’m filming things I’m legit curious about so typically I don’t know the outcome before testing it. Certainly I have an idea of what I expect to happen but you never know what yo count on til you try it. 100%, nothing more annoying that crappy audio. Appreciate you taking the time to watch, stay tuned for more fun content in 2023!
I just found your channel last night. Great content! I happen to have one of these original SR-25s and a box of original factory mags. It has always been a sub-MOA performer and a joy to shoot. Right after I purchased it I attended the SHOT show that year and had the privilege of meeting Eugene Stoner as well as the late, great Doug Olson who was the father of the Knight's suppressor line. I have an old Leopold mil dot scope on it that was fine for the day but my older eyes would certainly benefit from newer glass.
Well done!! 175gr is the ticket for that sr25.I reload 175c gr for my Howa APC .308 out to 1000m bullseye at 600m .5moa group. Awesome shooting as usual!!!💯👍🤙🍺🏁
Really appreciate this! I’ve had a ton of fun making content and I’ve got lots planned for 2023. Hoping every video I drop keeps raising the bar for the channel!
@@MountainsMulletsMerica You are definitely on the right track, for a channel this young you are putting out really interesting high quality content, I'm excited to be here for the ride!
You know I was shocked at how well I was able to shoot the duplex at distance. Stay tuned though, I want to drop a modern optic on an shoot something like the 178 bthp or 185 juggernaut to see what the rifle is truly capable of past 1000 yds. Tons of potential there I think
I purchased a Armalite AR10T not long after this rifle was made. It was incredibly accurate. The break in shots were with Arginine ball ammo. After 75 rounds, there was a 1.5” group. I later took this rifle and had Precision Firearms put a 24”Lilja barrel and the whole works on it in 260 Remington. It’s a 1” rifle at 300 yards now.
I just watched your SR-25 video. I wrote the article" loading for the /sr-25 match rifle that is on the internet. The 168 grain SMK bullets apparently loose stability at ranges over 800 yards. I have shot them at 1000 yards and they did not key hole. However I have used the 175 SMK's at 1000 yards and got 8 inch groups. I don't remember what the groups were with the 168's at 1000 but I felt it a waste of time when it was obvious the 175 were quite accurate. The wind effects at 1000 yards effect results so much. I like shooting off of sandbags versas the bi-pod but you did well with the 100 yard groups. My Stoner(just like yours) has shot 1/2 inches at 100 yards. I had the best results with IMI brass. I have had no feeding issues. Make sure you keep the ejector on the bolt face clean as brass particles can jam it esp when the gun is new. Either way I love my Stoner and have the Leupold Mark 4 M3 -10x with BDC. Temp changes from 30F to 70/80F result in a 1 MOA POI at 1000.
I just traded for one of these. Built in 1999 & the factory test was .375! One big hole for 5 rounds from the Vero Beach factory. Not sure what I’m going to do with it but she hasn’t seen but 50 or so rounds from the first owner.
Great video on a great rifle. I have owned mine for almost 25 years with the MK IV M3 mil dot on top of mine. It's almost like shooting wire guided bullets.
As a long range competitor reaching high master classification I think the most revolutionary development in the last 30 years to good long range hits has been the Tubb 2000 Rifle which has morphed into production concepts like the Ruger Precision Rifle. These rifles, which unitize barreled actions to an adjustable chassis support accuracy from the rifle itself, meaning a good sight picture will identify exactly where the barrel is pointed upon bullet clearing the barrel, and from adjustability of stock, the shooter can get a Princess and the Pea sensitivity for NPA. At any rate, now add some knowledge of what to do about wind and today’s shooters have no excuse for not hitting at long range, all made possible by the work of Champion shooter David Tubb. BTW, uppers in genre of one here are available from CLE, as well as White Oak. They are mostly used by High Power Rifle Competitors who shoot in Match Rifle and Any/Any Divisions.
Our nra high-power president had one. It was a x ring killer at 600 with 168's. You should call Knight. They might be able to tell you what your fps should be, to match up to that incredibly rugged and very repeatable Mk4. Anyway, another awesome rifle from that time, was the tubb 2000. If you ever get a chance to aquire one of those. Id love to see a video.
Can’t say I’ve ever heard of the Tubb 2000, will have to check that one out. I do like cool and unique so that would likely make for cool content. You know I was thinking while the BDC is a little annoying on this old MK4, the scope has to be super simple and durable. Also surprisingly nice glass, really impressed with the scope given its age. Thanks for watching!
I shoot a circa 2009 SR25 Enhanced Match Rifle with 20" match barrel. Ran the 2022 Gunsite PRS 7 day course with consistent hits out to 1000 yards using a NF 7-25X56 F1. This platform still rocks and the accuracy is unassailable. Good job making hits with the fixed 10X duplex and keep enjoying this incredible piece of history!
Very cool! I’m a huge fan of the old school setups. I also have a 2009 era 20” mk11 mod 1 rifle. Super cool to me that this “old school” setups are still very capable of holding their own in modern matches and classes. Like you mention though, I believe a modern optic is crucial in maximizing the performance of these rifles. To me, the era correct optics leave a lot to be desired vs current. Appreciate you taking the time to watch!
That is absolutely unreal for the first 5 rounds! What a awesome score to get a OG unfired Knights and then the cherry on top it being a tack driver. Next time your in Ga let me shoot it! 😂
I knew this thing would shoot but to shoot that well right out of the box was shocking! Loved this rifle but unfortunately I sold it…. Just couldn’t bring myself to run it as hard as I like to run rifles so swapped into something more modern. Probably a decision I’ll regret one day haha

Had to watch this one again. Great video! We had drought last year that stunted our wheat, and now have gotten so much rain this spring and summer, we are just getting started with our wheat harvest here in southwest NE. I'm looking forward to having some stubble of my own to get out and shoot on.
Prayers for a safe harvest! Typically this part of the country has a beautiful wheat crop, averages in the 100-120 bu/ acre range but from what I’m hearing that’s not the case this year. We had a tough spring and that’s showing up in the yields guys are seeing. That said I’m not sure it gets better than a stubble field for target shooting haha
Great video. So many people don’t know that 308 can be consistent out past 1,000. I just loaded some 185g Berger Juggernauts for my AR10 and I am excited to see how they do.
Oh man, I’ve played with the 185 juggernauts a little bit. Initial results were really promising, hoping to find more in stock so I can get a load put together for this rifle. Should have no problem being consistent past 1000 yds
@@MountainsMulletsMerica Thanks for the reply. I think Midway USA still has them in stock. I am waiting for the 215 Hybrid Target for my 300 PRC. I would like to try the 245g EOL too and see how it does. You are doing a great job with the videos and the channel is growing. I tell people to check it out as often as I can. Merry Christmas!
Nicely done as usual! Would love to see more in the way of breakdown on the optics you prefer and or what’s popular now in long range. Specifically the reticle types and how to employ them
Thank you! Been getting a lot of comments about scopes/ reticles. Will for sure plan to create a content around different reticles, how to use them and where the different styles make sense. Thanks for watching!

Really appreciate the support! I’ve been super busy with work lately but stayed tuned…. I’ve got a ton of content in the works! Really excited about what I should be able to get published this year!
That old SR25 really does scream nineties gun aesthetics, in absolutely every way. That first group had my wallet fearing for its life in my pocket. It doesn't surprise too much that the 308 is struggling at the 1km mark. No matter how good the rifle is, the cartridge just can't compete with the 200+ grain options in other 30 calibre magnums these days, or with the flatter shooting 6.5 CM. It's the ideal for its time, but with the performance of 6.5 CM and the like, can't fault the rifle for being born in a different era. That scope looks like a huge pain though, couldn't be more glad that the world has moved on much better scopes being available for less money.
Haha like you I was shocked when I saw the group this thing laid down right out of the box. So much potential. I’m thinking a modern scope and handloading a newer more efficient bullet will really let me optimize the capabilities of the rifle. Not expecting her to keep up with a 30 cal magnum or 6.5CM but I’m confident it’ll be capable of consistent 1200 yd performance in the right conditions.
Unfortunately I must have missed the opportunity to get a mil based grid installed in my eye haha. Would really help when trying to shoot a duplex at distance for sure though 😂😂
Appreciate it! Hoping to get at least a couple more videos out before year end. Busy time of year so it’ll likely be Jan before I can pick back up with a regular production schedule. Stay tuned!
This is awesome! Once I discovered the M110 platform I went down a rabbit hole of large frame gas guns and ended up building a tricked out large frame 20-inch 308. I’ve stretched it out to 730 yards with 175s going 2,500 at a local night match in my area. I typically compete with a custom 6mm BRA bolt action but something about this platform is just plain fun
Oh man to me it's fun to push the limits on a large frame AR. Just something cool and iconic about shooting them! Appreciate you taking the time to watch!
I feel like it had to be way ahead of its time! I really feel like this rifle represents the start of the large frame ar. Really cool to be able see where things started vs where we are now!
WOW just WOW!!! I was on the edge of my seat. Amazing marksmanship. Just watching u and ur form has helped me improve my long range skills. Keep up the good work. Top channel by far IMO.

Just something cool to me about owning this rifle, my opinion this is where the modern 308 AR was really perfected. As shown in the video, the rifle I was able to acquire is a great shooter. Really want to pop a modern scope on and shoot a modern bullet to see how far I can push it with consistency. Lots of content planned for this one so stay tuned!
Thank you! To me the scope really is part of what makes this rifle cool. It really completes the package and represents what "top of the line" was 30 years ago.
That rifle is impressive and very cool. The difference between the 168gr and 175gr smk is crazy, and that was a great demonstration of the difference a higher BC makes.
Pretty amazing how bullet selection can make such an immediate and tangible difference. Im actually planning a video dedicated to BC and what differences actually look like down range so stay tuned! Appreciate the support!
Been watching your videos and they are great. You do a great job explaining what is going on and the gear. That rifle is awesome. A piece of history and a great shooter.
Am really enjoying your content young man. Quality material, quality audio, quality editing. Guessing you're out west, here somewhere, but that pretty consistent lack of wind is confusing me as my (public) 600 yard range can have cross winds going both directions out to that distance on the regular. >--->
Yes, that was a lift ticket on the coveralls…. No clue why I didn’t think to pull that off before filming haha. You are also correct that I’m located out west. This is filmed in eastern WA state, basically a long range shooting paradise. Wind out here is tricky. Some days it’s nothing then other days it’s unbearable. I just try to film content on the less windy days so the videos are more entertaining to watch. Thanks for the support!
Excellent. I’d love to have an SR-25 just for the history of it. That scope would have to be put on the shelf however. Ten power seems to be plenty, but the reticle has long been surpassed by better options. Maybe a mount with some built-in elevation would make it useable? Anyway, great video, thanks.
Enjoyed watching this! I’ve owned mine for about 24 years. I keep intending to contact Knights to get the production date. Excellent shooting rifle and the 175’s definitely are preferred. Also mounted the Mark4 10x with M1 turrets on mine that I sourced from LEUPOLD before the rifle. Great content!
10:54 your feeding issues are most likely from your bolt timing being off, your ejection pattern is spitting brass at almost 4-5 O'clock. Meaning the system is a little bit under-gassed, put a suppressor on (adding backpressure with the cans of that era) and the rifle should start ejecting brass more towards 3 O'clock at 90° out the ejection port. That or just wait for the buffer spring to wear. Not locking back on the last round is also a symptom, barely not enough gas to reach the latch point.
I guess I was an early shopper. Bought 5 when they first came out. Consecutive serials I think for me and my friends. One friend just died and will probably be bought by his good friend. What’s good market value? Don’t see many match versions. Figured you might be aware since you just bought one. Or if other viewers know I’d appreciate their I put. Don’t see match models on the market to compare. Interesting vid will look at others you put out. Like thinkers 👍 Curiously the first one I ordered had a knurled cap on the retaining nut. Never seen that discussed anywhere in any marketing write up.
Man a little bad news…. I sold this rifle. Just didn’t have the heart to keep putting rounds through it and it didn’t really fit the kind of shooting that I like to do. It was an epic shooter that I’m sure was capable of more but I found out I prefer a more modern rifle and ended up replacing it with a 20” APR. I’ll have content on it out down the road so hope you’ll stay tuned!
Looks like it got over the failing to cycle - a little break-in, but might need properly lubricated. Nice rig. I have the Zediker AR10 in 6XC by EGW with the Armalite BCG for the smaller firing pin than the DPMS BCG, preventing primer extrusion. US Optics glass H59 reticle like you were wishing for here. Good work!
What’s some ballistics on that 6xc if you don’t mind..? I run the dd5v3 with 175s over h4350,superformance,varget,n540 all with good groups..just got 6.5prc and got a few different loads worked up..
I was expecting higher MV with the 24" barrel, so now not nearly as disappointed with my 1:10"X16" and 1:11.25"X20" 5R barrel for my LMT MWS308. Nice shooting.
My goodness, where did you find an unfired SR25!!!!!! Wow, what a great find, and from the looks of it, you found a real gem!!!! Great video - still waiting on some reloading videos???
Pretty crazy, just happened to run across this rifle/ optics package on gunbroker a couple months ago. When I bought it I was thinking I'd keep it unfired as a collector piece but as you can see that idea didn't last long haha. Still have reloading videos on the to do list and lots of folks are asking for them. I will get them put together but for sure that'll be a winter time project when the weather doesn't cooperate with shooting, stay tuned. Appreciate you watching and supporting the channel!

It seems like the original zero which was slightly biased high might’ve helped your BDC matchup. Also, I wonder if you would be closer after you get around 100 rounds through the barrel and pick up a little bit of velocity.
Pronghorn and/or deer hunting is well within the capabilities of that system. I would use a different optic ( something in 4-16x50 would be perfect ) but that system has medium range hunting ( 0 to 500 yards) in spades. My AR10 has a 20 inch barrel and I shoot 155 match bullets when I'm hunting steel plates. The Hornady 150 SST is my goto during deer season.
Oh yeah this setup would make a great medium range rig for the bulk of game animals in North America. Really interested to swap scopes to something more modern and try a newer bullet to see what I can get out of the rifle. Super impressed with the potential I saw In just the handful of rounds I fired filming this video. Thanks for watching!
I would really like to see you stretch out mark 12 . Obviously it would be kind of difficult since it gets kind of wonky at But some higher grain ammunition Could really make it go a lot farther. Another kick butt video thank you for sharing
Appreciate you taking the time to watch again! You know the MK12 is something I really want to do a video on. In one of my other videos I took a 14.5" 5.56 ar to 800 yds with no trouble, and even made a couple hits with it at 1000 yds. I'm thinking we'd be surprised how far a mk12 could consistently make hits with the right conditions.
First I’ve heard of the wind plex reticle. After a bit of googling something like that would’ve made shooting at distance with a duplex style reticle so much easier. The duplex is annoying as there is literally nothing to use as a reference point for holding aside from the actual center of the crosshairs. I’m used to something like a mil based Christmas tree reticle but that wind plex would be nice for someone not looking for something so “busy”.
Yeah man, that first 5 rd group was shocking! So much potential. Planning to do some handloading with either the 178 bthp or the 185 juggernaut to see what I can squeeze out of the package as far as consistent hits at distance. For sure I’ll video the process so stay tuned!
You know the history is exactly why I decided to pull the trigger on this rifle. Super impressed with how well it shoots as well, totally wasn't expecting that haha

Absolutely amazing. I shouldn’t be surprised with such results, I don’t feel much innovations have been made on that design to make the rifle more accurate, but that rifle did impress me. One question, you mentioned that the rifle was brand new and never been shot, (with the exception of the 5 round group shot) yet you forgone a “barrel brake in” procedure. What is you opinion on breaking in a knights armament SR25?
I was wondering if anyone would bring this up..... what you saw in the video is pretty much what I do. Years ago I used to do the shoot one/ clean one for x amount of rounds thing that many folks are aware of but somewhere along the way I decided to ditch that and just shoot new barrels. Now I shoot increments of 50ish rounds through a barrel and then deep clean for the first 200 rounds or so. Really can't say I've ever noticed a difference in accuracy between methods and I've certainly never felt a need to go back to the shoot one/ clean one regiment. For what it's worth, this rifle actually included a very detailed document regarding how to break the barrel in with the shoot one/ clean one regiment. This might be one of the most debated topics in precision shooting so I purposefully didn't mention in the video haha
@@MountainsMulletsMerica , I have that exact rifle but I cut it down to 20”. It is very accurate but I upgraded the glass to a T3 and it is a beast. Interesting to me that you found 175s more accurate. I did too. I don’t shoot the 168s anymore. I also upgraded the fore end to run accessories. Man really appreciate you commenting with real world experience from when this rifle showed up! Curious, were the rifles in service at the time suppressed? Optic wise do you recall what most of them were equipped with? Seems like information on how these were fielded is rather rare. Thank you!
From a friend of mine:
We had them for a short time at 3/1.
Late 90’s early 00’s each team had 2, we were running them in 04. B/3/5 ODA 585
Suddenly I need a SR-25. Great video 🤙🏻
Appreciate you taking the time to watch! Super cool old rifle if you ever get the chance to pick one up!
What a way to start off Turkey Day!!!
Appreciate you taking the time to watch! Hope you enjoyed it!
@@MountainsMulletsMerica you know it.
This channel is quickly becoming my favorite gun channel on youtube, your video recipe just plain works!
Nice rifle. And you did well to collect impact out at distance with the limitations of the scope and the 168’s. 👌🇮🇪☘️
I’ve got the dd5v3 and print a 3”@520 178gr bthp hornady white bx match…I want at least a 20” love a 24” uintah bolt upper
Best part of the video is watching you operate the rifle and adapt to the mechanism. Got referred to you by SAW.
Appreciate you taking the time to stop by and check out the channel!
Mil/MOA combination actually was a thing back then. As I look back on that, what a pain. Nice find, and thanks for the video.
Excellent video 🎯Thank you for the walk down memory lane with an old war horse 👍

My mans out here in a Idaho Tuxedo drillin steel from a county away with a museum piece. Awesome.
An Idaho tuxedo….. love it haha
That first 5 shot group had me giggling with how awesome it was. Helluva system
I was shocked! Ole gal has literally sat around 30 years and then laid that group down! Flat out crazy haha
Im here for all the early 90’s gear. Love it
Wow this old boy hammered. Far superior accuracy than I anticipated.
Pretty epic how well the ole rig shot after sitting for nearly 30 years! Just needs a modern optic to really unlock the full potential.
I just traded for one of these. Built in 1999 & the factory test was .375! One big hole for 5 rounds from the Vero Beach factory. Not sure what I’m going to do with it but she hasn’t seen but 50 or so rounds from the first owner.
This guy is so humble and an incredible shooter
Thank you! Appreciate the compliments! Lots of new content coming so hope you’ll stay tuned.
I absolutely love how you don't overcomplicate things
I’ve got a pretty simple mind so just trying to keep things as simple as possible haha. Appreciate the support!
What a great find and score.
Just proves these weapons will outshoot the shooter with the right ammo
100% truth! Hoping to throw a modern optic on and develop a load with a modern bullet to see what she’s really capable of. Thanks for watching!

Doesn't everyone have a calibrated reference grid in their eyes!? Nice work!
Unfortunately I must have missed the opportunity to get a mil based grid installed in my eye haha. Would really help when trying to shoot a duplex at distance for sure though 😂😂
Very nice video
Keep it going! Can't wait for your next video! 👍
What a beast for the time period

Just something cool to me about owning this rifle, my opinion this is where the modern 308 AR was really perfected. As shown in the video, the rifle I was able to acquire is a great shooter. Love the analysis especially on that scope. What a unicorn you got there. If I can land one of those SF returns to KAC. Great video! 🇺🇸
Thank you! To me the scope really is part of what makes this rifle cool. It really completes the package and represents what "top of the line" was 30 years ago.
That rifle is impressive and very cool. The difference between the 168gr and 175gr smk is crazy, and that was a great demonstration of the difference a higher BC makes.

Awesome rifle, awesome shooting, congrats on 10k subs!
Thank you! Man the growth recently has been crazy. Lots more content just like this in the works so stay tuned, hope you enjoy what’s coming.

Shouldn't the test target basically tell you the production date?
Great historic gun.
Thanks for the video ! Nice shooting !
Thank you! Appreciate you taking the time to watch!
Really cool 👍
I guess I was an early shopper. Bought 5 when they first came out. Consecutive serials I think for me and my friends. One friend just died and will probably be bought by his good friend. What’s good market value? Don’t see many match versions. Figured you might be aware since you just bought one. Or if other viewers know I’d appreciate their I put. Don’t see match models on the market to compare.
Interesting vid will look at others you put out. Like thinkers 👍
Curiously the first one I ordered had a knurled cap on the retaining nut. Never seen that discussed anywhere in any marketing write up.

Would absolutely love to see you take the SR25 back out with some better glass and see what you can really do.
US Optics glass H59 reticle like you were wishing for here. classic 90s design, thick asf barrel, machined body, plastic furniture, as advanced as many concepts are today but a couple kilograms heavier.
Everything about this rifle looks 90s haha. So far seems to be just as accurate as any modern rifle though which is awesome
It seems like the original zero which was slightly biased high might’ve helped your BDC matchup. Also, I wonder if you would be closer after you get around 100 rounds through the barrel and pick up a little bit of velocity.
That is one THICC handguard there.
No joke…. I actually really liked how it felt but ultimately ended up missing the ability to add accessories to it so I had to sell the rifle
Super cool. Nice vid!
Thank you!
avesome gun! correct size of the barrel - such accurate gun need full size barrel to get all the 308 performance! 1000 m consistent shots - perfect!
My step dad RIP was a navy seal, and his seal team hated that rifle because the suppressor was near as long as the rifle.

I understand why leupold came out with their windplex reticle now. Love this video makes me want to stretch out my DD5v3
Happy Thanksgiving
First I’ve heard of the wind plex reticle. After a bit of googling something like that would’ve made shooting at distance with a duplex style reticle so much easier. The duplex is annoying as there is literally nothing to use as a reference point for holding aside from the actual center of the crosshairs. I’m used to something like a mil based Christmas tree reticle but that wind plex would be nice for someone not looking for something so “busy”.
Beautiful piece of retro art. Is it fittable with a suppressor?

Would love to see you throw the atacr on this rifle and really see it’s capabilities.
Love your content. You are quite a rifleman. Well done.
Thank you! Really appreciate you taking the time to watch!
Since I bought in the 90s, wasn’t stuck with leaving period accurate. You keep it up brother, you are one well of a rifleman.
@@todddunn584 sounds like you’ve turned yours into a mk11 ish rifle. I’m not all that surprised by the 168s, my plan is to drop a modern optic on and develop a load with a newer bullet and see what she’s really capable of. So much potential from what I’m seeing out of the first handful of rounds.
Tack driver! 😮
No joke! I was shocked at the groups it casually laid down! Can’t wait to drop a modern optic on and get a load developed for a more modern bullet. Will be an epic performer.
I had one of these in my possession for a while. With an absolutely filthy barrel it was still match accurate. Weren't these Krieger barrels?
