I actually started looking into the hobby because of the second group you mentioned. I love airsoft and have played since 2010 but the foam flinging is a much more relaxed and carefree environment compared to the rigidity and competitive nature of airsoft and paintball. I will now continue to enjoy both because both hobbies fill different roles and needs. Also I love the p90 vibes this blaster gives off. Super cool looking geometry.
I personally think the fine line between the hobbies is the affordability and accessibility. All of them can be very competitive depending on the environment. Foam flinging is relatively inexpensive especially compared to the other two hobbies.

Just straight up the whole goal is fun. The airsoft crowd wants to larp like they're part of the military and that comes with every negative you think it does. With nerf they're obviously just toys, not mock guns, just toys I can shoot in my house.

People in airsoft don't take their tags more than in nerf from what I understand. Airsoft a lot of the time you can't see who shot you so can be a lot easier to not take tags. Nerf, you can almost always see who shot you so will get called out much more

I like to compare paintball, airsoft and nerf like comparing COD, Battlefield and fortnite. Airsoft is like battlefield, larger scale, more realistic, paintball is like COD, faster paced, more competetive. And nerf is like Fortnite. More child friendly, easier and cheaper to get into, not as serious.

@Moshin Rafsanjani You can use a Talon magazine adapter, as others noted. Or 3D print shells yourself, as many as you want.

Yes it is and the mag adapter snaps onto talon mags
