Atty. Rita Linda Ventura-Jimeno is much more responsive compared to the other aspirants. Even Justice Gutierrez was amazed of Atty. Jimeno's response during the interview about the proposal of constitutional court, however she failed to reach the post due to lack of judicial and public experience. =(
I'm now a fan of Justice Gutierrez haha. Despite her age she's still sharp as a tack and shes got gumption to publicly criticize Duterte and some of the SC's recent decisions. Sana nasa SC pa sya, we really need someone like her there :(
Ra Flores I also wish that SC Justices will not be appointed by president para maminimize yung kampihan, & like in US, they should serve until they die.
Kaya nga hoalinae almost every SC decision on political cases are being questioned because may kanya-kanyang appointees ang bawat administration.
by doctrine of incorporation, intl laws based on treaties or conventions signed by our reps are deemed part of our laws. So I dont get J.Gutierrez's point when she criticize it as basis. our Constitution does not prohibit foundlings to be considered citizens, it's just that our Constitution is silent. both have different implications. silence of internal laws is supplied by intl laws.
Javier when she was questioned about EJKs, pls watch her interview.
:( Although I dont appreciate her answers, very much appreciated ko naman yung lakas ng loob nya na humarap sa JBC panel , only a few can do that :)
If we look on the brighter side, people like her tend to be a solid trial to test your consistency and firmness in your decisions. Some of us may have had "terror" professors/teachers yet they only seem rough on the outside but with the intentions of testing and polishing you. MAYBE - she might have also seen the potential in Atty. Acosta that she decided to further test her, or maybe not. She may also seem to be irked by the way Atty. Acosta may be temporizing when she could have answered the questions concisely. Some questions even required a "Yes" or "No" for an answer, but she ends up telling the story of her life. That's why she might have found Atty. Acosta to be inconsiderate of the time limitations.
Genuine Ilocana, Atty. Ventura
She sounds articulate and results-driven to answer the questions with confidence. On point and precise.

Infairness naman kay Madam Attorney, she really tried her best to be spontaneous and assistive. 👌
walang panama si acosta sa kanya!

The doctrine of incorporation does not apply to constitutional provisions. Otherwise, you can amend the Constitution just by signing a treaty.
