100% you could actually get to 99 by just having great mycareer games. It also felt rewarding. Loved 2K12's system. Played the game and that's all you needed. No money out of your pocket or microtransactions.

Badge I need to tell you this because I’m so mad. I grinded the last day of the season to hit level 40. I hit level 40 3 minutes before the new season was about to drop. When I went to collect my rewards it said new season dropping soon come back later. I have the clip of hitting level 40 but no gold floor setter and no magic Johnson. Smh bad company
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and expecting different results. It’s insane for you guys to keep buying a game making them billions of dollars and think they will somehow change. The important thing to remember is this is a GAME! Once I realized this, I completely stop playing 2k for years. The point of a GAME is to first be fun. We all can agree 2k is no longer fun it’s just a grind and a money grab especially if you want to be good at the GAME.
VC is the only issue imo. I’m okay with the gameplay of the past few games but the in-game monetization is actually insane. How does 1 build cost more than double that of the base game?
I disagree, maybe its diffeent on next gen (now current gen) but im on ps4 old gen and the gameplay in rec is so bad... the court is way too small their is no room to do anything the gameplay is so uglyand crowded.... somebody can be wide open in the corner and you pass and somehow somebody 20 ft away contests it

Yeah Damianalexander I agree. Builds are so expensive and it's the reason why I'm only sticking with my 4. I got VC when I bought the game for my initial build and then I've only spent 150 for the last 3. I have no intention of buying more VC to experiment with builds for that reason. It's sad what it's come too.

I also dislike the rpg style city in new gen and I’d rather just be able to spawn at the rec but that’s not that big of a deal. They could easily give you vc back when you delete a build or raise the value of vc in general and it wouldn’t be that bad of a game. Fuck 2k for robbing their players of a decent basketball game.
Yeah the VC is such a scam. I don’t understand why the NBA allows them to use their logo and the players allow their likenesses to be emulated by fans, then make it near impossible to spec a build by grinding and then require skill boosts just to be competitive. Let’s forget about swag and being able to afford any of it. You only reward $1500 VC per if you’re dominant and then charge $20,000 for a shirt or ugly helmet on top of boosts…cmon now. You basically spend the equivalent of a games VC on boosts for the next game…if you want to enjoy any rewards you gotta come outta pocket and on top of initial cost of the game and your monthly charge for Server access, they’re making on average $400 plus per game..I’m currently in my 3rd season on a build and I played 90% of My career games with most of my VC going to attributes and I’m only at a 90 ovr and I have the free time to do it. Imagine those who don’t have that kind of time.. they just assed out I guess

On current gen there’s currently a bug where 30 secs into a Rec game the server drops out and results in not only a loss it registers it as you quit the game

I stopped playing 2K after '19. I love basketball, and I used to love playing 2K. Lately, I've been really missing playing 2K, yelling with my friends, complaining about how garbage the game is, etc. It just makes me sad to see how little they care about the game and us fans. We badly need another developer to enter this market with a good game.

Last season was my least played season of 2K (around 85 games) and I still ran into a handful of cheaters probably the worst I’ve seen in a while . The futures not looking good.
Question* is this “TOS” linked to Gamepass? I’m asking because i haven’t been able to play since the 24th because if i walk into the theater or rec the purchase screen for gamepass pops up wanting to to pay for the pass in order to play. Apparently my game pass subscription expired 11/15/2023 but iv been able to play Daily up until February 24th.

Nah because this is exactly the point of my stance on the game. It’s not just that it is bad, but the fact that it is supposed to be so much better, I love 2k. I love basketball and love to play the game. But it’s at such a low spot where I haven’t been on since the first month. Besides for short periods with friends. This game is such a shame and money grab and just makes me upset about because there is no other way to play basketball on the game

I stopped playing 2K after '19. I love basketball, and I used to love playing 2K. Lately, I've been really missing playing 2K, yelling with my friends, complaining about how garbage the game is, etc. It just makes me sad to see how little they care about the game and us fans.

That comment from the beginning of the video is funny to me because it's obvious it came from someone who doesn't have to make any conscious decision on how they spend their money. The last time I genuinely enjoyed a 2K was during 2K19. I don't plan on getting the next one because I haven't even touched the game for more than two months this year, and still have zero desire to. I still hope they fix things tho. Its crazy cuz i grew up with this game being in my main rotation lmao.

Question* is this “TOS” linked to Gamepass? I’m asking because i haven’t been able to play since the 24th because if i walk into the theater or rec the purchase screen for gamepass pops up wanting to to pay for the pass in order to play. Apparently my game pass subscription expired 11/15/2023 but iv been able to play Daily up until February 24th.
The TOS hasn't came out yet so I don't think that's the reason why you can't play.

I miss the old days when we had options everywhere...inside drive, live, nba street, courtside, ballers, etc. How we got to the point we have one option and its trash is sad. We really just be playing this because we love hoop and gotta settle.
