Great reaction. Oh, yes Fami looks as happy as she can be. This is her very first experience to play as a member of a world class top notch band with such a big crowd waited this moment for two years. The audition was her Cinderella story, and she lives happily ever after.
Thanks for the reaction. 'The Hammer of Wrath' song is already 7 years old. This song was written by former bassist Miho and first appeared on the album 'Awakening from Abyss' (October 2017) . LOVEBITES has been playing 'The Hammer of Wrath' at nearly all of their shows since 2016.
I watched the premier. Fami is kicking butt and fitting in nicely as their new bassist. Lovebites are the Metal Queens. They released another video a couple days ago (Nameless Warrior) from the upcoming DVD Knockin' at Heaven's Gate due out Aug 23rd..
Here's a video from the most recent album Judgement Day and also has new bassist Fami but you'll note the women are in the studio in casual wear no white dresses in this one Stand And Deliver (Shoot 'Em Down) ua-cam.com/video/4ImGA7cPyrs/v-deo.html
Honestly, everything they do is phenomenal. Even if you may not say one of their songs is a favorite of yours, the musicianship is undeniable in every song.
When people are deprived of or lose their ordinary daily life, rotations, jobs, etc. due to disasters, etc., they may feel happier and more grateful when they overcome the difficulties and regain what they lost! Just seeing their happy smiles makes me happy. I would like to commend Fami for his courage and determination when he was only 20 years old to join after Miho, the great bassist of the first generation! Fami is also a great bassist who is ready to be compared!
This was Fami’s (the new bass player) first ever concert with Lovebites, and first large concert of any kind. She's 21 years old! Fami - the nuclear power cell of smiles, joy and energy! Notice Fami slaps those two bass solo sections (which the original bass player, Miho, played finger style) and the bass/drum section after the solos is a joy... Asami's look of support and delight, followed by a thumbs up to Fami. Not only did Lovebites make the perfect choice, Fami BELONGS in Lovebites. The energy is radiating from all members. Haruna's playing is incredible here and her drums sound amazing and of course M&M kill on guitar as you'd expect... but notice Miyako seems invigorated!!! She's moving around, head-banging even, more so than I ever remember seeing. "We're back!" Hell yes, you are! GO! Oh, and Asami sounds better than EVER!
Is the penny making its way slowly into the slot machine? You’ve understood absolutely everything that Lovebites is about. They have no peers…it’s that simple. They’re the best (of all time) at what they do, and they do it with style, grace, elegance, panache and beautiful, genuine smiles. I flew from the U.K. to be at this, the first gig it was possible for me to attend as a Lovebites fan. Not only was the prospect of seeing people who have become real icons to me standing (literally) 10 feet in front of the barrier I was near an exciting one, but I was doubly proud to see Fami making not only her debut as a band member, but also as a rock musician and playing for the first time ever in front of an audience. Her smile was fixed for most of the gig. Second in the smiling stakes was Asami on vocals and, unusually, third was Haruna on drums…usually a dead cert for top of the happy leaderboard. I’m going back for three gigs of the forthcoming tour and before people begin to wonder if I’m wealthy…far from it. I’m not “lucky” either. I’m fortunate, I readily admit, but my support for this band is total…as much as I can do I will do. There are no pockets in a shroud. I’d travel anywhere to see them until I’m thrown in the poorhouse. They’re worth every penny, every hour in an aircraft seat, every night in a capsule hotel and every mile I clock up…and a whole lot more. There has never been anything like them and, after Covid, I’m grabbing every second I can spend in the same building as them that I can.
LOVEBITES - 'The Hammer of Wrath' ( Lyrics -Miho /Music - Miho, Mao ) What's the worst way to die? Burning to death, or drowning? Everyone laughs in derision There's no hope at all Why is the world rotting away Howling in pain, they slowly die All of the sorrow is murderous The insanity (Burn up) They're calling me (Burn up) It's do or die (Burn up) Get ready for hell (Bring down justice to the wicked) Don't look away from the mistakes Open your eyes, and see the truth When lightning cracks the blackened sky Listen to the screams of distress It's like a bad dream but it's not No way to get out, a living nightmare Bring down the Hammer of Wrath Who will be the next to burn? God only knows the victim Everyone knows they are innocent All the hope is gone In despair they pass away There was no hope to begin with Even the angels are giving up Looking down on us Will this night ever break dawn (Bring down justice to the wicked) What's the worst way to die? Burning to death, or drowning? Everyone laughs in derision There's no hope at all Why is the world rotting away Howling in pain, they slowly die All of the sorrow is murderous The insanity (Burn up) They're calling me (Burn up) It's do or die (Burn up) Get ready for hell (Bring down justice to the wicked) Don't look away from the mistakes Open your eyes, and see the truth When lightning cracks the blackened sky Listen to the screams of distress It's like a bad dream but it's not No way to get out, a living nightmare Bring down the Hammer of Wrath Bring down the Hammer of Wrath
LOVEBITES have released videos of them recruiting the new bassist and they've done live streams of them signing CDs and reviewing their latest album all involving Fami. They are so endearing.
Glad to see you having a good time. The surest thing of any Lovebites live performance is that it will always put a smile on your face. And you are wise to look for lyrics. Vocalist *Asami* writes almost all of the bands lyrics, and they are almost always meaningful and uplifting. I think you would enjoy seeing all sides of this incredibly creative band. Try Swan Song [+Chopin Intro] to see the black haired guitarist, *Miyako* shred some Chopin on a grand piano, and then shred the first guitar solo of this song she composed - with a bit of a surprise at the end. ua-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/v-deo.html And there are Closed Captions for this song! Congratulations, you've discovered female Japanese Metal Bands - lots more to see, too.
I see what you're saying, I foolishly avoided Lovebites based on my perception of a metal band. I was wrong! I love this band, in fact their my joint favourite. 🐺🏴
This Japanese Ladies Metal Band shows Western Metal Band dude how to play Metal..... MIHO fingering the bass when she did the bass solos... FAMI thumping/slapping the bass when she do the bass solos...
Look, mate, I would not have kowtowed to these numpties you mentioned. Its your show, say whatever you want. You are not beholding to them, if they dont like it tough! What really bothers me is how personal these guys get as if they own the group! Good reaction as always 😎🤟
If I were offended at "Disney princesses playing Van Halen", honestly it would be at the Van Halen part. 😛 (I'm joking. Kinda.) Consider this: Metal these days is entertainment. Sticking out two fingers to the world (or one middle finger us non-Brits who don't have so many fingers to spare) may have been a function of metal when you and I were young (you look to be about the same age as I), but even that was, I think, only part of it. The way I see it, the primary purpose of metal is to provide entertainment to those who like that genre of music. Escapism is a big part of it. Let me be bold: I see no fundamental difference in approach between a black metal act like Gorgoroth, who dress up in leather, spikes, corpse paint and fake blood to create an atmosphere that fits their music, and a band like Lovebites. While they give us almost the exact opposite mood-wise and message-wise, they also try to create an atmosphere and dress up for that purpose. It's all entertainment, on top of great music of course. You could even say that if you really want metal to put up two fingers to the rest of the world, Lovebites are very metal in that regard: they defy expectations and do their own thing, bringing their own values to a music that used to be dominated by unkempt testosterone displays. That's a sort of eff-you too: we do our own thing, we do what *we* want. (Interestingly, Midori, the blonde, jacked guitarist has a post on her Instagram somewhere where she calls herself "Metal Barbie", and that was more than a year before the movie came out, but the message is similar: feminine pride and confidence.)
Thanks for the reaction🤘 Fami-san is amazing, I'm so happy that she's in LOVEBITES! "Nameless Warrior" (live 2023) ua-cam.com/video/Dl29tiJCbNM/v-deo.html Set the World on Fire (live 2021) ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html
Why would they sub English lyrics that is weird ok maybe her English is a tiny bit accented but I have less problems understanding Asami than I do a LOT of North American singers
why do you have to apologize for giving an honest opinion? I am very sorry, but in this world of political correctness, I will always prefer a sincere opinion to a trashy, contentless, "politically correct" opinion. They really do look like disney princesses... Or, in my opinion, Greek goddesses.

They are the best live performing band ever, lovebites rules!
They just dropped another LIVE clip from the same concert/DVD - "Nameless Warrior" : ua-cam.com/video/Dl29tiJCbNM/v-deo.html
Yes, they're back, locked and loaded. Lovebites is like the Phoenix.
