    I run this for my C division 13-14 year old boys team in community league (1 week practice / 1 week game) as their primary offense. I have a lot more limited time to train plays (almost never a full roster week to week) so I use the continuity ball screen as the primary offensive platform. Tweaks include having my big forwards drop to low-posts instead of screening on strong-side (if miss-matched on D). Also, on weak-side reversals we can run 'curls' where the wing-guard sets a down-screen for the baseline guard, and the high post forward feeds to the guard cutting off the screen towards the key. If the cutting guard off the screen is not open, then the forward passes to the screening guard they continue the offensive action. Slipping screens strong-side after the defense starts to hedge is a good tweak/counter.. either forward (after pass) or guard (after catch). Guards can use the ball screen for a quick shot also if the defense sags on switches.

    Hoopvision, another great video! I'm avid college basketball fan, but admittedly lacking in the basketball terminology, game planning and set play side of things. There's so much more going on than meets the eye. Your videos are great and really help fans understand what's really happening on the hardwood. Big Thanks! Jeff

    Nice to hear the commentary give credit to my brother Reggie, as he is the godfather of continuity. Even see some pros run it when the offense gets stagnant. Good stuff!

    This explains why Euro big men have excellent all around skills so that they can be a threat anywhere inside the court and keep the defense guessing.

    One of it's best characteristics is that having 5 out most of the time you remove the weak side help problem opening backdoor cuts and ball reversal dribble drives when executed correctly. Ie it's too far to go to help

    These teams are running this like a combined "Ballscreen Continuity" and "DHO Continuity".
    I guess that makes sense because the plays are very similar.

    The spacing in this offense drives me nuts. Lane is always clogged. Defense can just sit at the nail. No thanks.

    What drills would you use to run this offense?

    • @SlappinGlass
      @SlappinGlass 4 роки тому +3

      You can do 5 on 0 breakdowns to just rep the flow of the offense. You can also do play 3 v 3 on one side of the foor where the coach is an outlet who passes to the big to start the action.
