  • In this video I we take the RS5 comp in to get the seats fixed and test drive a BMW M3 Competition Xdrive. It was a blast and a very different experience. Stayed tuned to find out my thoughts on the two.

    Everyone has a G80 that alone is a turn off the RS5 comp is not only rare on the streets it just looks better overall. Im currently planning for a 2014 RS7 but i might have to wait bit longer or before my current weekend car miles hit 50k.

    Have you considered getting euro spec label-less sun visors? Think it would look really clean for pov style vids.

    The biggest difference in cost between the two back when the Audi comp package was 16k instead of the 10K they are now, is that the Audi only had CCB's on the front and steels on the rear. However, when you pay the optional 9K to BMW for CCB's, you get all 4 sides equipped. So theoretically, you get more for less with the BMW. 22 Solar orange RS5 Comp owner here. Love both brands, owned a 21 X5MC, thing was vicious for a SUV.

      @rag4305  Місяць тому

      Yup defiantly weird that Audi doesn't put CCBs in the rear. They stop like nothing else but I do wish they did it like BMW where its in the front and back.

      @@rag4305 I have already sourced replacement carbon discs and pads that will directly replace the steels :). 6K but no rust, no dust and last a very very long time. Plus looks dope. Worth the upgrade in my book.

    Thanks for the great review. I’m thinking maybe you had it in sport vs comfort? As for shifts, did you have it in the most aggressive?

    • @rag4305
      @rag4305  Місяць тому +2

      We made sure to have the trans in it's sportiest setting and increased the aggressiveness of the shifts using the buttons on the shift knob but It still felt a bit sluggish compared to what I'm used to in my rs5 comp. who knows, maybe I did something wrong.

    The shifts on the Rs5 sounds almost as aggressive as an M5 Comp and the only 2 cars i can think of with that type of aggressive shifting is the F-pace SVR and SVJ

    I went from a 2019 RS5 to a 2023 m3 almost same spec as the one in the video. To me the sound of the engine in the m3 is worse, the shifts slower, the speakers are worse (I had the bang and Olufson in the Audi. The screen in the BMW is annoying to use. To me the Audi is a better driving experience. I will say this the m3 is dumb fast

  • @bigrob7458

    Ain't nothing benz or audi has that beat an M3. Benz before gave you a V8 that sounded great. There is no reason anyone should choose an RS5 over M3 when they are priced the same. If the audi was $10-15k less then it makes sense to buy an audi.

    Did you actually drive the M3? BMW has a bad rap in my mind, oil leaks, electrical problems and longetivity. Plasticy parts in the engine bay that fail and crack. Not a fan of the monster grille. It grows every year. And that rear quarter panel doesn’t flow with any body line of the car.
