The adulting channel I never knew I needed, but now can’t live without ⭐️
I saw you in Vid IQ’s stream today lol
we*
I can't wait until we get to the mortgage and taxes section
@@VanGogh69 there are more than four videos.
FACTS!
I’m a mechanic but I stopped by to give this a like because this man is such a good guy
Thanks Geoffrey, I appreciate your support!
People get embarrassed to ask about stuff like this because to some it seems like common sense. But you don’t judge and you teach us no matter our age. Thank you.
When he says “hey kids” I really feel protected and loved. This means a lot for me, thank you very much, internet dad :D
He is the UA-cam dad!!
So much appreciation for our UA-cam dad #APPRECIATED#BestDad
Being an adult is hard. It's even harder to be a responsible adult. This channel is badly needed, I love this.
But it's really sad that we actually need a channel like this to teach us stuff like this.
The Lycan yep, this dad’s amazing though
*ah, finally a dad who didn’t yell at me for holding the flashlight improperly when i was young*
😂
🤣
Or wasting the battery
Literally tightened and loosened tens of thousands of bolts, nuts and screws in my lifetime but still watched.
Thanks to dad for educating so many.
This is the ultimate opportunity for a tool brand to sponsor this guy. Amazing videos teaching many people a lot!
Never forget:
Left-y - Loose-y
Right-y - Tight-y
I had a problem with that alllll throughout my childhood now I have mastered it
amen
Easy. But when there’s that one set u come along, that’s opposite. Or ur facing the wrong way. And spend forever doing it wrong 😂
@@ashleyjacquot904 True though, My bed has screws that face upward into the beam so I have to lay down on my back to face it properly, If not I end up going back and forth not knowing which way its supposed to be haha
@@trevorharbolt6293 however ... there are some that are the opposite.
They are rare, but usually on an IKEA product, where it's just been flipped.
The 4 people who disliked this need more love in their life.
👎: 'Dad, how do I get more love in my life?'
Dad: 'Let me give you a hug' ❤

They're probably small UA-camrs who haven't made it 🤣
The dislikes are all from dad's who walked out on their kids
They miscliked
I’m 24 and needed this. Thank you father
Growing up without a dad I never knew how much you need a dad joke every now and then. much love
Thank you for doing this and having a channel. My dad isn’t in my life. It makes me have some happy tears. 💙💙💙
I had no idea what a locking washer was, I didn’t even know it existed, thanks.
I have seen them but never understood what they were for. This was pretty beneficial to me.
Some projects require them, some don't. If you expect the object to be used, but don't want two things to separate, use the locking washer.
They're not that good imo. Using two nuts is more trustworthy if you need something to stay tight.
Except if any vibrations get into the bolt it loosens the screws.
I've seen guys like you at Home Hardware, we call them "Double Dippers" since they have to come back and spend twice the money on a project because they're using the wrong tools and equipment.
We have common practices and standards for a reason.
"hey kids!" melts my heart
The Mr Rodgers we don’t deserve, but so desperately needed 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Your amazing dad! Love your videos!
Oh, locking washer... That makes so much sense. That's why my stuff keeps falling apart on me. I never knew what that was for and just threw em out unless assembly instructions specificly told me to put em on. Lol
Thanks, Dad!
You pained my heart at "I never knew what that was for and just threw em out" but I'm really happy you're learning. That's the most important thing!~
Im not gonna lie, this series is actually helping me to finally understand my tool kit. I can finally know what some things are named and what they are for, so l no longer will have to embarass myself by having everyone tell me in details what certain things look like so l can bring it to them! Thank you very much.
If it werent for this video, i probably wouldve never heard of a pilot hole when drilling and id fuck something up eventually. you learn something new from this dude with every vid, even if its small details.
Yup! All of this! I may not embarrass myself wandering around Lowe’s next time.
I don’t understand why people feel the need to dislike these videos. He’s not doing anything rude, he’s showing us tutorials for fatherless kids. The 7 people that disliked this need love in their lives.
Remember please don’t skip the AD’s guys!!! Watch them for our dad!!! We need to support him!
I like the little gesture he does with his hands after he does the dad joke. So great 😂
Hi Global brothers and sisters! This is such a great symbolic channel for the world peace in the chaotic period:)
Dad's channel is only the 2nd channel I don't skip the ads on. Wanna make sure Dad gets that sweet ad money so he can keep making helpful videos for us. The other channel I watch commericals for is Vet Ranch.
Because of you , i feel like this world maybe isn’t that bad after all , I wish that we have a lot of people like you ❤️
My dad’s been telling me to get oriented with anything and everything handy man ALL WEEK LONG. And here I am at 6:01am local time tryna view your entire channel because it’s gonna give me confidence to assure my dad that I’m being a better handy-man! Thank you!
you've got this! :)
Remember: If women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
Nella thank you 🙏🏼
DamienDarksideBlog ayeee that’s a pretty good lesson. Thank you for that. I score fair, but being handy is always a bonus 💪🏻
@@canaanlee1117 Apart from just being a really good sentence, it's also from an older show. A comedian had a character called Red Green and had a show of the same name, a very Canadian "Home Improvement" and actually funny to us. Red Green was an older fella, easily knew all the old trades stuff, had a solution and opinion on everything, and was your grandfather kind of guy. Always had advice, could crack a joke and roast you all in one story.
He's a huge advocate of duct tape, and the phrase "If women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy". Probably said it once an episode, and as a slightly weird nerd in school, I took all the construction/shop classes I could. So now at least I am half-way decent looking, and my girlfriend is amazed I can build Ikea furniture in five minutes.
If you are not in high school (because you're an adult), or your high school doesn't offer shop classes don't worry! In Canada and the USA, majority of "Construction Stores" like Rona, Home Hardware, Lowes or whatever have DIY projects and when COVID is over, definitely DIY nights for lessons. They do it because if YOU know how to build a shelf... guess who you're gonna buy materials from? So they do these things to teach DIYers and those with low skill.
As a bonus tip, and another "general rule" Dad's/Handy people use is: "If it is supposed to move and it doesn't, use WD-40. If it is supposed to stay still and it moves, use duct tape. If it still moves, use more duct tape."
As a dad I love sharing my life through motivation on my channel. Salute! 🙏🏾🛸
Get this man a reward for dad of the year
Hi UA-cam Dad! Thank you for the lesson, and for being there. Love you.
Thank you my 2nd cousin adopted me and my 2 siblings because our mom and dads left when I was 2 so thank you so much 💖🙏
I'm actually here to master the art of dad jokes, the tutorials are just a bonus
My husband is a wonderful man, but explaining the basics of all things handy is not one of his strengths. Looking forward to more of these videos as I'm sure they will help our DIY projects go much more smoothly. Thanks!
I don’t know much about tools so this is actually really helpful! Also, a tool box would make such a great Father’s Day gift 🤗💜
“You got this!” Ahh I love it
I know everything that he shows, but I feel like insulting him by not watching his videos... Awesome person.
Same honestly. But I enjoy reading the comment thread in his videos. It’s like wholesome family bonding moments.
I feel the same.
I know that's exactly how I feel
I totally agree although I know none of it as I just don’t care but still listen to every word. 😂
Yes. I've learned tools by watching my husband and sorta helping but I HAVE to watch these videos for comfort and respect.
I have had such a rough week. One of those "when it rains it pours". Just hearing this man say "hey kids" made me burst into tears. It's so comforting.
hey dad! Thanks for this video, even if i don't need the info i'll gladly watch the video cause nothing's better than hearing your dads voice. Thank you again for uploading and keeping us, the children safe and educated!
We love you, dad!
Hey Dad!
i wonder if comments like this make him feel uncomfortable like yeah he calls us kids but he doesn't call us his kids i just hope this stuff doesn't make him uncomfortable
@@Gay_Jesus How bout Pops?
@@Gay_Jesus I was thinking the same thing. Like for him it might be overwhelming to see the response from people on his channel and I think it's really cute how he still manages to keep going. But yeah, people calling him dad. Wonder how he feels about it
I may not need these videos right now. But I’m learning every week. And when the time comes to use this information. I can say Thanks Dad.
I am an adult and still don’t understand this stuff. You make it simple to learn which makes it easy for me to learn. Thank you dad❤️
Please post whenever you want to Dad don’t ever feel pressured to post often!!! We love you!!
Father! Bless you for blessing us with another video 😭
So I actually have a dad but he never taught me anything so I had to learn all of this by myself growing up. I really think its nice that someone's helping people this way
Not only are you the most lovable person on the internet, your videos are also really useful! Thanks for helping me understand my tools Dad!
I'm 23 and I never learned these things. It's just so sad that we actually need a channel like yours to teach us this stuff.
I'm really thankful that you started this channel and be the father that most of us probably never had.
I'm 17 rn, my father has always keeping my back and told me to go to university but I want to start working as soon as I can. I have find a way to rent a house in another city and got some job offers, if all goes well I will be living on my own by the end of summer!!!
That's why a channel like yours is very inportant for me, Nobody is born with knowledge so having a life guide for common stuff like this is vital for me. So much thank you dad
I've built two condo's in my life and have more tools than most normal people, and I still get a little jolt of joy whenever this Dad releases a video. And I can't help but learn stuff that I didn't know I wanted to know :)
Yeah. I know a lot of what he's been covering but I watch every video to help with the algorithm to keep this thing growing and keep him making videos.
Thank you for teaching people, like myself(whom either don't have a Dad or have and absentee Dad), about life.
I've been here for a while but am mostly shy and have only commented a few times.
Thank you, just Thank you!
Edit* Thank you for calling us your "kids", thank you for saying you "love" us and most of all...
THANK YOU for saying you are "PROUD" of Us!
Thank you for commenting, glad you are here. :)
No no, THANK YOU, I am a "strong woman"(as most whom know me personally, call me).
Yet every time I come to your videos, I cry out of joy and admiration, simply because you saw what the world needed and you Just Did It!
You gave the world what You wanted/ what you Knew they needed.
I Am So PROUD Of YOU!
You Deserve this Love and Deserve so much MORE!
Again, Thank You, for being You!
All of these comments are PROOF!
I just want to thank you for the difference u made in my life! I love watching inspiring people like you!
I was lucky to have a dad who was "handy" and taught me these things. I'm so glad that you're making these videos for those who may not have that knowledge passed down to them.
My dad wanted to teach me all about this stuff, and did teach me a lot, but he left when I was like 9, after causing serious truma to me a few years prior.
My dad is ok and teach me stuff as well.
But it doesn't mean I can't have a second one dad :)
I watch you anyway and really like your videos.
I was 28 years old when I learned what the actual purpose of washers is. Thank you dad!
For us single women that no longer have their father here, thank you. My dad would always show me how to do things and which tools to use. I lost him a long time ago but still need him. Your channel has been a great help for things I still didn't have a clue about. Thank you.
when he said "hei kids!" in the beginning of the video i feel so loved.
Same. I miss my parents who died this year.
Aww.... I just live for you to say 'hey kids'. It makes me tear up every time. I so wish that I could have had a dad. Thanks for doing this. Sending lots of love and prayers your way
Thank you UA-cam dad for having patience in teaching me things my real dad didn’t have time for!
I look forward to these videos every week. It reminds me of growing up with my grandpa as my male figure and role model. He’d keep us busy with projects while my mom was in college.
I should do a Mom one of these... I bet you some "Mom Love" would be good too.
constance graham, will you let us know if you do?❤️
This would be awesome
Please tell me if you doo!♡

molly roberts ohhhh snap!
Dad is truly a godsend showing us how to combat life’s challenges and overall improving our general knowledge on stuff we would’ve otherwise would’ve never known
I’m a daughter who had a really handy dad, but I didn’t pay enough attention while he was here. I really wish I would have, but I learn so much from your videos that I feel like I make him proud that I can do things on my own, which is what he wanted for me. You touch so many more people than just the ones you set out to. I’m so grateful for your channel and I know my dad would thank you too 🥰
My dad grew up without his dad, he don't know most of these stuff you teach in video. You made all these videos. Thanks man
I honestly love this man.
TOTALY
Even with the heads-up, in two weeks we'll hear still:
"Don't worry, kids, this is just a drill." 😂
We better. It better be the dad joke lol
And I can't wait for it. Love me a dad joke!
He’s the type of dad i wish i had. Bless this man ❤️
It must be overwhelming, gaining over 2 million children suddenly, but we all appreciate you, and we will be okay.
My dad tends to just do instead of show/teach, so I really appreciate these videos.
I personally was raised with "Show you show it works, supervise your work" kind of dads. Remember that teachers come from anywhere, I am sure there were a few 16 year olds who didn't expect me to teach them how to cook when they walked into my DQ as a cashier, but they end up leaving with actual skills.
I do not know how old you are, but most high schools come with a tech shop. If you can apply for next year for a slot in the course, I've seen plenty of girls pick up the basics and end up making their own desks by the end of courses.
If you aren't in school (or can get someone), then look at Home Depot, Canadian Tire (or American equivalents) or other tool/construction shops. Since getting people into DIY and projects is one of the ways they can make money (more people doing trades sells more hammers) so they usually have project nights so you can learn how to do DIY. Hell RIGHT NOW in COVID-19 I bet they have TONS of take-home projects you can pick up for five bucks (like a birdhouse) that may seem like "kid stuff" but it allows you to learn, and more importantly: screw up and learn.
These dad jokes actually make me laugh
I will forever give your videos a thumbs up. What you do is so kind, and we need more people like that! I'm sure your helping out a lot of young people. Thanks internet dad!! 💕
I don't "need" to learn these things because I have men in my life that can fix things for me...but I'm watching anyways cause this Dad is just too precious, and the world needs more people like him raising kids, even if his adoptive kids are online.
Sir, you are a hero, a true hero. Greetings from Mexico
Wow, I really appreciate the fundamentals of tools. I finally know the names to these things!
as someone who grew up without a dad to show me these things i cried for a full 20 minutes solid when i found this channel. i love you. thank you so much for this.
This is so needed nowadays.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to teach
So many people never had the opportunity to learn these things.
Keep it up!

Honestly, I love this man💕
Protect this man at all costs
This guy means a lot to me. My dad is always at work. Thanks to this guys videos i learned how to build walls to my deck in our backyard, I never understood much of thag stuff and my dad doesn’t have time to help me. But this guys has helped me succeed and learn more than I do in school. I appreciate you man
Ive always asked for a tool set for holidays and never receive them lol I wanna learn how to build . Pretty much learn some woodworking... idk Ive always been into diy and it seems so fun and a great way to get the creative flowing thru me. Thanks again for this video!
I was always the same way! Begged for years and when I finally moved into my own apartment my dad gave me my first toolset. I use it for so much more than just home stuff. I hope you get your own set soon :)
Can you cover the best type of Razors to use in shaving
I ain't gonna lie man, I've been shaving for almost 18 years, and I still can't find. a good razor. Harry's is probably the best I've used personally but that stuff is subjective
Gillette razors are the best razors around, But they’re on the higher priced side as well
Subjective. Everybody is different, but I think it’s more important to find the better cream for you. I use dollar shave club blades and (and stick) and for cream I use nivea shaving cream gel sensitive
I used the 3 blades, 5 blades, etc for years. Got a Double Edged Razor a couple of years ago (like what your grandpa would use) and I'll never look back. It feels like you're using a tool. Highly recommend and it'll last forever.
i love the community in this comment section. everyone is so wholesome and ready to help each other. thank you guys for this
I'm already on my 23 years of my life and still dont have the knowlegde about these. Such a big help! Thank you!
SO HAPPY TO HAVE DAD BACK!!! I clicked as soon as I got the notification!!!!
Thanks Emily. :0)

Who actually disliked this amazing, pure hearted man’s video? He must be protected from the evils of the internet so we don’t lose him.
My Dad could but didn't showed me it. Now finally because of my husband I learn this. Thank you soo much!
I’m going to send this video to my bosses and have it added to our training. Ta ridiculous how many times I’ve had to train mechanics and production technicians to put washers on like this.

Cheapest security system on earth...put bells on the door knobs. They make them for dogs to let owners know they gotta go out. Cost about $3per...makes noise as soon as the door moves. Anyone sneaking in will immediately realize they have fucked up and leave.
You can get wooden dowels to find in sliding window and door frames. solid locks, and talk to your family about good practices and what to do.
