Ramadan isn’t a eid. eid al fitr is eid. it also isn’t a celebration, it is a holy month of worship. i am confused why y’all comparing it with something so false like chrismas. why are y’all always feeling inferior and comparing yourselves to the west? let them have their own thing, why you gotta always compare and want to emulate?
This is the best month then any other why not decorate? Why does it need to be boring? This is teaching the kids to become enlighten the lanterns symbolize what? To see through the dark. Everyone becomes consumed by the darkness of this dunya the one month of when darkness is locked up. I could go deeper than this but it's a celebration. Christmas is pagan tradition with the trees and Santa Claus nope islam is layat qadr and lanterns
Firstly, for many christians, Christmas isn’t false, it is also a period of time to worship God and give thanks to the person who they believe God sacrificed so they could be saved. Let’s not judge. We can talk about the timing of the year and the recent commercialisation another time. Secondly, why shouldn’t people celebrate their creator and teach children all good things come from God and praying? Fasting is not a chore, let the children find the joy in the month so when they are ready and older they will be begging to fast and pray and be rewarded in the next life.
