    I just picked up a 99% rust free 92 RS with a 305. Pretty fun car. Can't decide to mod it or keep it original.

      Throw a 350 with some mild mods, some decent suspension, few tasteful mods exhaust lights wheels etc. and you’ll have a very fun daily street car with some power on tap that the 305 don’t have. I’ve been wanting another one to do that. Hope you enjoy the 3rd Gen life 🤘🏼🤘🏼

    Quick question… did you have any issues with the umi torque arm bracket to the rear end? I’ve heard some ppl have had to modify the umi bracket to fit the QP mounting brackets. Debating on a QP or a trick chassis because of the mounts.Liking the channel!

    • @one3racing
      @one3racing  2 роки тому +1

      I had zero issues with the UMI arm to QP bracket, all I had to so was grind the powder coating off the QP bracket where the Torque arm mated, just be prepared to have the torque arm make contact with the rear Of the tunnel, I had to clearance my tunnel quite a bit

    Sweet car man it runs hard. I have a 92 RS with SBC 400 stock bottom end (10.1 comp running 93 pump gas) 215cc heads .572/.572 solid cam th350 3k stall 3.73 gears factory 7.6 rearend with mini spool 28/9/15 slicks and my personal best is 12.82 at 107mph but in the next week or 2 I'm gonna switch to an 8.5 rearend with 4.56 gears hopefully get low 12s maybe high 11s on the motor or that's my goal anyways

      @@one3racing Hello Matt Walker, just came across Your videos You posted for RMRW 2.0 2022. Somehow, though have been following both RMRW events during 2021, 2020, back to 2019, 2018 [by review], had not noticed Your 1989 Gen 3 Camaro vehicle previously.😏
      =>Thus, decided to look at You channel to see what You have posted about and with the details with Your vehicle, build, especially with Your good results on Days 2-5 including the "shootout". 😆
      =>Now after discovering Your channel, also have seen Your additionally posted video about Your next steps with taking the engine out, starting assessment, evaluation, improvements, etc. [will find out more after viewing it] 😏
      Also am very impressed with Monte Carlo. Is that Your brother's or friend's car ? 🤔
      ->One of the very impressed aspects about You, Matt, is that You are working with a carburetor vehicle within these early stages of development with N/A, even avoiding NOS too
      -> also You achieving these good results with ET in the 11.9 sec range, as You stated here as You plan - and may yet achieve quicker yet, with this set up too. 😄
      It is relatively, nearly rare to see younger fellows develop there performance, modification vehicles with using a carburetor, learning and knowing how to tune a carburetor along with the ignition timing properly and achieving the optimal performance too.
      -> Matt You stated the block is SBC, though am not clear which specific SBC You have, and all of the more of specifications with these heads, cam, crankshaft and any other modifications, including the ignition and fuel system - if any. 🤔
      Since You clearly must know about carburetor timing, did You have any additional jets with You during RMRW to modify the fuel/air for performance during the two stages ?
      ->Have You considered, measured or tested using Ethanol, E88, E85 ? or other fuels including using Methanol ? 🤔
      All The Best and Much Success in Your Quest, Health, Happiness and Well Being. 😊
      Sincerely 😙

      @@newtonfirefly3584 thank you for the kind words! 🙏🏼 the Monte Carlo is my Buddy Randy I’ve raced with for 4-5 years. I tuned the carburetor on the dyno in spring of 2019 and never changed jets just managed timing/Idle air mix/fuel bowls and the fuel pressure, I didn’t move to E85 because it’s corrosive and I would of needed different blocks/jets/power valves etc. so I just ran on pump 93 with a small amount of 110 mix. I ran the SBC for 4 years and learned a ton about engines with the simple carburetor. I achieved everything I ever wanted with this set up and had fun and some struggles. It was a Stock bottom end SBC with heads/cam and a carb. When I build another 3rd Gen or nova the only thing in that engine bay will be a SBC with a carburetor. I was impressed with how this set up worked and the power it made for not necessarily the best Camshaft for it. Hopefully you watch the next moves and see how I improve next year on Raceweek! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
