I could not find the the guide spacing charts. When I open the link I just got a narrative basically of this video.

Link goes to an article, halfway down the article is a spot asking for your email so the charts can be sent to you. I hope that helps. Tight lines and good luck with your rod building project.🐟😎🎣

Thanks for the note. It really only takes about 3-4 hours spread out over a couple days and you can build a fly rod as well. Tight Lines!

You're pointing out the beauty of building a fly rod. Selecting the components you want and ending up with something custom fitted to you. Tight lines 🐟

Do you put the rings on that position from which the blank wants to jump/twist away when you bend it? Or do you allow the blank to jump into the relaxed position and then put the rings on the inner bending curve? And what is the idea behind your way? Thanks, nice video.

The guides are wrapped (attached) onto the blank where the blank naturally wants to flex. The reason mark and attach the guides along this line is to have the line tension applied along the natural bend of the fly rod. If you attached the guides off the line of the bend (called the spine) it would bend slightly off direction to where you want to cast. I hope that answers!! Great question. 🐟🐟🐟
