    I just bought a new z781i and had it delivered today. I had a canopy , discharge chute and hitch added. I can't hardly wait until the grass starts growing. Watching you tube channels such as this one helped me in deciding which zero turn to get.

    The meter actually shows instantaneous fuel economy, like in a car, but also shows engine power usage. The reason for this is because kawasaki's e-gov system holds the rpm at whatever you set the dial to and will only bog down under heavy load. When set it to the engine % mode on the rocker switch you can watch the meter to see when the engine is putting out max power (if you push beyond this the engine will start to bog down). Oh and unlike scag and exmark this machine will function even with the LCD meter completely unplugged. Glad you like all the new features of this machine.

    I like for you to show us
    how the chute blocker hooks up and its operation.
    Best looking seat I've seen
    Love the digital display
    Note:
    The two reservoirs for the Parker Hydros only need to be filled "just covering the bottom" There is a shadow that can fool you into thinking it gets filled half way.
    Do that and you'll blow oil all over your pulleys, belts, & wheels.
    My Z726X was over filled when I purchased it. The infamous shadow line.
    Beware - just a heads-up on that.
    Parker oil is about $60/gal(needs 2gal) at a discount, plus two filters - good for 1000hrs.
    1st change recommended @500hrs
    I'm doing a very, very early change of hydro oil + filters on mine.
    good luck 👍👍

    Heck yeah man! Of course I have to like this one. These machines are extremely new to the market, I can't say many other peoplehave them just yet. That digital panel does a lot more than you think it does!

    Sweet machine! I have had one EFI mower so far, and I will probably only buy EFI from here on. In my experience, they are way better on fuel economy and not as succeptable to vapor lock in the heat and moisture issues.

    I went from a 72" Toro Z-Master to this exact mower. Huge mistake. Back to the dealer twice in the first 20 hours. Once for the blades being inop, even though the belt was on and intact and the blades would spin freely, and once for the hydraulic belt slipping off of the drive pulley due to some foreign object that caused the belt to jump the pulley. The problem with both incidents was that there was no visual indication of any kind of problem. After the mower was returned the second time, the blade deck belt has jumped off twice while mowing a pasture that might as well be a golf course. This model, unlike my 72" Z-Master, doesn't have a front jack, so there' s no way to raise the front of the machine in the field. This machine was purchased less than 6 months ago brand new, and has less than 25 hours on it. I was advised by the service manager that the biggest problem with this model is the fact that sweet gum balls cause the belts to pop off with alarming regularity. I told him I would lose my religion if a sweet gum ball causes my $11k lawn mower to fail. The machine needs a plate on the undercarriage to cover the two drive pulleys underneath the engine. I am disinclined to have one custom fabricated. Overall, I am wholly dissatisfied with this machine. The only saving grace is the excellent people I've dealt with at my local Kubota dealership. I am investigating the ZD1511, and will probably pursue an upgrade in the very near future.

      Update: This machine now has only 156 hours and has been back to my local dealership NINE (9) times for warranty repairs. It is in the process of being returned to Kubota as a lemon.

      @@John_D2 $12k for a new Z781i and I can't even use it. I have a ZD1211 on loan that is a nicer machine, but I'm not super psyched about the cut quality. I'm waiting to see what kind of deal I'll be offered to take this lemon off of my hands. Thinking about a 72" Grasshopper Model 735BT with 3472PF. I had great luck with my 2004 Toro Z-Master, so I might need to look in that direction also.

    • @John_D2
      @John_D2 3 роки тому +1

      @@williamabbate4700 I understand you're not happy with Kubota. I'm just saying you can get a lemon with anything you buy, jumping brands isn't guaranteeing you much , you could easily buy a brand new Toro and have the hydros starting leaking before you hit the 3rd hour. I've seen it. This guy got a good one , you got a bad one , just the way it goes. See if they will give you a Zg227. I can't believe they didn't sell you one in the first place. Imo it's the best 60" they make. I've got a lot of hours on one , runs as good after 4 years as it did on day one. You also need blades that work the best for your area. Blades I use in FL probably won't work good in Ohio and vice versa. Baffles need to be adjusted , etc. When the Zd1211 is set up right , it's also hard to beat.

      @@John_D2 Oh, I am agreeing with you 100%. I stepped down from a 72" to a 60" and that was the first mistake. Although the ZD1211 is a 60" also, if I end up in another Kubota I'll try to move back up to a 72". I appreciate the recommendation on the ZG227. I'm not familiar with that model, but I'll look it up.

      @Jonah Hall all mowers are rated with the j1995 SAE standard.
      So, all manufactures are less than advertised.
      Unless there are dynamometer results, one does not know actual crankshaft and/or wheel horsepower results for any lawnmower and could only guess.
      But, since this lawnmower uses Parker hydros, it would give it an advantage over Hydrogear trans, as Parker uses less horsepower to operate, thus more horsepower to the ground.

  • @jew0182
    @jew0182 5 років тому

    Man thank you thank you for the video! I have been trying like crazy to find some info on this same mower but no such luck here on UA-cam or even lawnsite. I’m really curious about the cut quality. Can it handle early morning wet grass...? I’m thinking or hoping maybe it can. I like the large discharge chute opening. An EFI will definitely be on the next engine I get. I love the seat on these as well. I’ve built one on kubotas site and with a operator controlled discharge chute the MSRP I believe was 11,747. I’m sure a dealer could do much better than that price. Or at least I hope so...if that deck can prove itself as an all around good cutting deck then kubota May have finally hit a home run. My 13’ JD z920 with 2000 hrs on the Fx730v is nearing its last leg so I’m either gonna have to repower or get a new mower love the 900 series Deere’s. The 7iron deck is nearly impossible to beat out there. But I’m open to other options. Let us know how this mower is performing for you man! And thanks again for the video. Oh also are you located in the north or south???

      the deck design is similar to scag and deere. on this deck kubota went with an oversized discharge chute, minimal baffling, and a deep deck design allowing maximum airflow and minimal clogging. the clipping dispersment is very good you shouldnt have any issues clumping in morning grass. the mower deck stripes decent on its own too but if you are really big on stripes just get a kit with the mower.

      @@limestonecowboy9219 I had all four engine mounting bolts (nuts underneath plate on threaded studs out of bottom of FX751V engine) back off at about 60 hours. It damaged the hydro pulley, hydro belts, but nothing else. I assumed this was due to buying a Husqvarna; glad to hear it is not unique to the lower end brands. About 10 hours later I had a cheapy grade 2 or so bolt shear off of the deck tensioner pulley. The dealer is replacing it with at least a grade 5, maybe 8.
