Per merito del remix di "It's a War", realizzato da Serge Santiago, è tornato d'attualità il progetto Kano ideato dai musicisti Stefano Pulga e Luciano Ninzatti, ed esploso a livello internazionale nel 1980 con un tris d'assi formato da "I'm Ready", "Holly Dolly" ed appunto "It's a War". Il loro innovativo sound di matrice funky-disco venne riproposto l'anno successivo con "Baby Not Tonight" e si decise, per aumentare le potenzialità del progetto, di trovare un cantante che potesse assicurare anche delle performance live. Arrivò l'inglese Glen White che diede nuova linfa alla formazione interpretando al meglio canzoni di successo come "I Need Love"," Another Life" e "Queen Of Witches"

En 1983 viví un tiempo en Hamburgo (Alemania) y este tema de Jamón era sensación en toda Europa, eran unos muchachos Italianos y hacían muy buena música, gracias por poder revivirla ! Soy un Argentino agradecido .
Perdón el nombre del conjunto era " Kano".
Repito y perdón, el grupo se llamaba KANO y eran el éxito del verano Europeo de 1983 .

The same melody sample from Kano was used by Kris Menace on Discopolis on Idiosyncrasies, incredible album. New technology, old sound. And I still love Kano and old italo from my childhood.

Actually, the lyrics in nero's track are only provided by Daryl Hall. The reaching out for something to hold was originally heard on the 80's Hall & Oates classic Out of Touch. That said, it is not a sample. Daryl recorded the Out of Touch lyrics, and the new lyrics specially for Nero's song.
