Yess we all know Changbin has a big soft spot for Hyunjin. It's probably goes back to their trainee days. When Changbin joined JYPE as trainee everyone was intimated by Changbin. Hyunjin was the first person who used to laugh at his jokes and that too very loudly. Since then pre-debut they were known as best friends. I guess since then Changbin has been fond of Hyunjin
about changbin allowing hyunjin to open up, i feel like you’re very right. there’s a clip from a previous concert where hyunjin being overwhelmed asks ‘why do you love me’ to stays, which i imagine is because of the events before that and also being so stuck in his head. since then however, changbin has become a lot more flirty with hyunjin, always showing his love so openly. it may seem a bit much especially for someone as quiet as hyunjin but it is a constant reminder to hyunjin that he is loved so much, especially since hyunjin is the kind of person who is in love with the idea of love and romance. to me it’s changbin’s way of showing that he really understands hyunjin as a person and isn’t just doing it for a little joke

Hyunjin and Changbin is one of the first friend couples of Stray Kids, they were super close pre-debut, they both have ALWAYS been super into each other. Hyunjin is always looking for Changbin’s attention, Changbin makes a show to be after Hyunjin, but never really goes the extra mile. Hyunjin LOVES Changbin, so many people think it’s Felix, they are 100% wrong. Hyunjin’s most important people are Changbin and Seungmin.
Couldn't agree more but they all have a special bond in every member. But personally, I like it when Hyunjin is with Han, Changbin, Seungmin and Lee Know.
gosh thanks a lot for being brave to speak out about this. this whole concept by the fandom of "one-sided love" between changbin and hyunjin doesnt make sense to me at all. because as i watched through their contents to understand the members' dynamics, even though hyunjin rejects changbin's flirts sometimes, he shows his affection through something else. he likes playing hard to get just to tease him and it's pretty obvious he likes the attention so he keeps on doing it.
I don't like hyunlix ship either but it's so unnecessary to bring out Felix's name & say that a member doesn't love him.😂 We don't know these ppl personally anyway.

It's true that Hyunjin can't pretend. That's why Bin always comes to Hj to ask for his opinion about the songs he makes. and Hj seemed to have a vision of whether the song would be successful. like his choice on song 'gods menu'. Bin feels comfortable when he is with Hj because Hj will respond to all his jokes, Hj appreciates whatever other people do. and vice versa, Hj also feels comfortable with Bin. they were best friend from day one.

changbin is known as the loud problem child in skz (and funnily enough his friends that are idols are also problem children in their groups) and he's also the most teased member in skz...but it's because even though he's one of the older members they all feel extremely comfortable with changbin because he's just THAT guy ya know also changbin has purposely made 90% of his personality flirting with hyunjin
Its so funny how Changbin and Leeknow compete for Hyunjins love LMAO and he feeds into it, Hyunjin is always answering questions on bubble like "I think both Leeknow and Changbin should work harder to have me" LOL

LOL - your comment about Changbin being a bouncer. You are spot on.
BTW, that's how he acts in the gym, too, when he's training the other members. He coaches in a very positive, constructive way, then stands back in that confident stance and lets them work out. But he's also RIGHT THERE if they need help or extra instruction. He's laser focused on their technique to protect against injury and build healthy bodies - not only so they can physically endure their long, hard performances, but also just for their general health. He's always encouraging them to eat more vegetables and maintain good nutrition overall, too.
You nailed Changbin and Hyunjin. Just a little side info, Hyunjin is also an artist (he paints) and Changbin wrote a song about the heaviness of always being the person that people always go to called, Streetlight (also a Mental Health Awareness campaign song).

This is unexpected but im so happy! You're right again with changbin and hyunjin haha changbin really loves hyunjin and yes he just lets hyunjin tease him. It's hard to get to know hyunjin with just a couple of videos, he's also good at writing. You're right hyunjin likes spending time alone, he recently shared he went out to eat alone. If you want to get to know hyunjin more, i think it's better to watch his own vlog. He's a deep person, i wish you could see his messages but he has videos that shows it too. Changbin and hyunjin are the closest, they've been very close since trainees. Hyunjin is in his head usually like you said, he likes to write poems, read books and paint. Changbin, you know him very well already, he's the best person out there. I hope you can watch more changbin and hyunjin videos~ also han and hyunjin are good too ❤
Stray Kids are always such a supportive brothers and try to make to feel better each other. That's wholesome sincere relationships. Their personalities are wonderful.

exactly. I've once seen a fanmade video where the creator claimed to know body language, but in the video they were just like "he's so this/that", or "they're so xy", without actually explaining why. it left me quite disappointed and unsatisfied, because I need thorough analysis that also explains things more psychologically.

Changbin can also get too much in his head sometimes. That is why he prefers being around other people, to keep the dark thoughts at bay. At home he spends his time in the living room so he can see everyone come-and-go. If he is in his room, he only closes the door when he sleeps. Hyunjin spends his time at home in his room or his studio.
Watching your reactions, especially you reacting to Changbin, reminds me why he's been my bias since day one. It's the little things that I can't really pinpoint about him but you seem to know exactly what his exact qualitites are that make him so charming. Sending you much love from Greece!

changbin has been flirting with hyunjin for years 😂 it became a running joke early on, and hyunjin obviously finds it hilarious which i think is part of the reason he keeps doing it. skz in general love them some bromance and aren't afraid to joke about being boyfriends/husbands lol

To add to this I would actually watch all 3 of theirs in a row - since Hyunjin actaually got Bini talking/ reflecting - it also explains - shows that they connected before SKZ was an idea and as much as Hyunjin resists he does adore Changbin - it’s a mutual respect and admiration-

Yeah ! I find this very insteresting especially, and I have noticed it before because they're both my ult biases, so I think it's easier to associate them together because they hold a similiar special place inside my heart lol
I think it makes sense they'd have some parallels considering the fact people say normally you tend to relate/connect and/or understand your bias more, and I'm a very big hyunjin and V person, so I definitely get it

hyunjin is an introvert who loves keeping to himself and enjoying places on his own, but he's also the same guy who took changbin in and showed him around when he was a newer trainee. i really appreciate how they have a sort of easy familiarity with each other that just makes them fit in spite of how different they may seem at first - in some way they're both each other's safe haven and i love how stuff unfolds when theyre together
oh 100% hyunjins introverted self loves his alone time where he can recharge whereas changbin has the reputation of never being in his room because he's always with someone else (not only in skz but he has a bunch of other extroverted fellow idol friends appearantly always seek him out)

Hes said when hes bored/wants to chat with someone he will just walk into hyunjin's room and bother him lmao (im sure he knows his boundaries obviously and leaves him alone if he needs space tho).

Your reaction to this vlog is a huge comfort to me after a long day. I really love this duo they are so cute together and I love the dynamics between them. I agree that Changbin has a soft spot for Hyunjin even tho he is already a very popular guy in the industry (he’s frds with many idols). And I sometimes sense that it is the way he takes care of his members. 🫶🏻
Another great analysis, Max. Hyunjin is genuinely such a gentle soul it's nice that the chaos that lives within him and sometimes seems to plague his thoughts can be released around the guys, especially Han and Binnie. And Changbin is filled with so much self-awareness. I really feel that insults could just bounce right off him because he's also self-assured. He knows who he is and his strengths and weaknesses and he knows who can see both in him and who can't.
Also you did not need to do Binnie that dirty with the 4 inches taller bit 😂😂😂😂 but you weren't wrong.
You really nailed their personalities! Hyunjin is quite the introvert; he enjoys spending time in his room, painting and all. However, he does appreciate it when Changbin or Minho coax him out of his shell once in a while. By the way, not sure if you're aware, but Hyunjin and Changbin share an incredibly close bond. Changbin has been playfully teasing and flirting with Hyunjin since their pre-debut days and mostly only with Hyunjin, always trying to steal kisses or hugs whenever he can. It's quite adorable, and if you ever get a chance, you should definitely check out some Changjin ship videos because nobody ships Changbin with Hyunjin more than Changbin himself! 😄🚢💕 Plus, Changbin is also quite protective over Hyunjin, making their friendship even sweeter!

Hahaha! You're right, Changbin is the biggest HyunnieBinnie shipper, or ChangJin, whichever you prefer to call them. I used to refer to them as ChangJin too, but noticed that they refer to themselves as HyunnieBinnie, so that's what I call them now. 😄 Anyway, you're right about Changbin being the biggest simp for Hyunjin. I remember a very old video of all the members talking about their first impressions of each other, if am not mistaken this was taken pre debut, and Changbin was so excited to reveal his first impression of Hyunjin. He said when Hyunjin entered the room he was tall and so pretty and yet handsome at the same time, and immediately drawn to Hyunjin's lips! 😄😄 And Hyunjin has revealed in many older SKZ videos, that at night Changbin will always go to his bed and touches his lips, and then smacks him! 😄😄 Hahahaha! I love watching HyunnieBinnie videos too, coz I find their dynamics so fun!! I read so many comments lately, criticizing their relationship, that it was all just for show and fan service. And I realized these comments are coming from new fans of SKZ, coz if they knew Hyunjin and Changbin's relationship with each other, or bothered to watch the older videos from pre debut and to when they just started, then they would see that Hyunjin and Changbin's relationship is genuine. They really care for each other a lot. ♥️

My faves together! Part of the reason I find these two so interesting is because I see their relationship as the most oversimplified out of SKZ, due to 'fandom lore' and what they say to camera as part of their personas vs how they actually treat each other. So I appreciate watching your commentary that instead is simply based on what you observe, as they seem to have a really lovely friendship and complimentary dynamic.
Hyunjin is driven by his emotional conviction (it shows on his face and body). Sometimes his unfiltered expression can be misconstrued by people who don’t know him well. Changbin has excellent EQ to read the room and people thus rarely makes faux pas in public.
In cognitive term, Hyunjin is a high introvert feeling (Fi) user while Changbin is a high extrovert feeling (Fe) user. Among all SKZ members, Hyunjin’s Fi is the strongest and most volatile thus he can be easily hurt by the world around him (misunderstand him). Changbin is excellent in guiding Hyunjin to socialize and to mature.
Im freaking living for this 18 minutes changbin appreciation session like everything is so real and needed i love him the MOST 🥹🥹🥹❤️🩹
Ps. He was not listening to hyunjin because he is known for his inability to multitask, mist especially during eating, since he very much enjoys & cherishes his meals of the day huhu 💕

It is really fun to see you kind of go through these videos as someone who has been watching Stray Kids for more than a couple years (that sounds creepy, but I just mean on YT 😂). I know what I've observed through watching them and what they've said themselves in interviews about their sort of personal interactions amongst the group, and it's just kind of fun to see someone else picking up those same things. 😊 I didn't see it in a comment I don't think, but Changbin has talked about how his solitary thoughts can sometimes be a little dark, and that's why he often seeks out the company of other members. But I think it also does come from that big brother role that he's assigned to himself to pull Hyunjin out to do activities, because Hyunjin is perfectly comfortable in his own company. So he sees that Hyunjin will stay solitary and he doesn't want him to stay solitary for too long. So it almost becomes a mutually beneficial thing for them that Hyunjin gets out, Changbin gets company, and everybody has fun. I think their relationship has also changed a lot since they split into the two apartments, and now you have 3racha plus Hyunjin living together so there's slightly less insanity than all 8 together, but it gives an opportunity for more development in their personal friendship.
About the flirting I think they actually overdo it for the Camera, because they know their fans love that. They even said it themselves!
It's so true... Changbin is SO good at saying over the top, amazing things with knowing intent, giving the other person an opening for a lot of fun back and forth dialogue. It's truly a give and take dynamic that benefits everyone on multiple levels. He is extremely good with words and, in my opinion, also a highly adept communicator. He is so quick. So smart. That is just a few of many reasons why I both relate to and admire him.

You are very good at reacting on others peoples. You watch i see very subtle details of these two men communicating, and you know how to describe what you observe. And I think you are right. Changbin is a very good "father" of these boys, as much as Bangchan as well. They two are taking care of all of their boys, watch them carefully and with caring love. It is very important, when you think that they all seem to live together for years almost from their childhood. And seems like they have nobody but themselves.
Their bowling has improved SO MUCH over the years. They used to really suck, HAHAHA.
Now it has become a fun stress reliever for them, and they really enjoy teasing and encouraging each other, too.
I went through almost all of the SKZ members as my bias at one point or another(bcuz they are literally all so freaking amazing as human beings) , starting with Hyunjin and Felix and their ethereal beauty when I first discovered SKZ. These two blew me away visually but I loved Hyunjin being a unique and stunning dancer and painter and a perfectionist in everything he takes interest in and Felix with his gorgeous deep voice yet sweet, sunshine, selfless, giving personality. Then I moved to Han with his stellar ability to do literally everything like write, rap, freestyle, sing and be the life of the party with his friends but also the homebody introvert whose not afraid to express his mental struggles through his music. Then I moved to Lee Know who is quirky and odd in the most attractive way ever. He loves keeping his caring side hidden behind the scenes with savage behavior, but is often caught being incredibly thoughtful and protective and loves to serve the others (and kitties). Then came my love for Bang Chan, the ultimate humble leader who works literally around the clock, harder then anyone on the planet yet never realizes his greatness. Seungmin an I.N lately with their heavenly vocals and visuals...omgosh. Then I finally fell in love with, and had to accept my utter, undeniable, true love, for my wonderful Changbin. After diving deeply into all of the members, Changbin stood out, grabbed my heart and I was a caught hook, line and sinker. I absolutely love his confidence, but he's not cocky (though he pretends to be). I love his intellect, sensitivity and his ability to take a joke targeted towards him (and he strangely appreciates it bcuz he knows you're comfortable and not intimidated by him if you crack jokes about him 🥰). I love how he's so intuitive and observant of the others feelings and how they're all literally drawn to him for heartfelt, honest advice. He's their backbone and the ultimate motivator. And his sense of humor is so freaking hilarious! He's a lyrical and creative genius (as are all of 3racha) but Binne just gets to me...he got to me lol. I love your analysis bcuz it's so true. And it drives me nuts when people take them "flirting" with eachother as if they're actually being s3xual with it because if you've watched them long enough and get to know them, you know it's simply brotherly friendship and being silly with one another. I think that's hard for westerners to grasp bcuz we don't expose that kind of closeness and comfortability that often except on maybe the football field or basketball with slapping eachothers butts occasionally in sports, and Korean culture is different so you can platonically have a close friendship with physical expressions and affection (aka skinship) of hugs, hand holding and flirting without it being s3xual at all. I remember when I was stationed in Korea in 1998-99 in the Army that I found it strange seeing all these men holding men's hands and women holding women's hands or them linking arms with eachother all the time but when I observed them you could clearly tell it was 100% friendly and not s3xual. It was just besties being besties which was not something I saw in the US. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all grab our friends hands, link arms or give hugs without any assumptions about us? You can still be affectionate and be straight lol. I think it's a lovely part of Korean culture in my opinion ❤.

Changbin said that he hates being alone that's why he is visiting the rooms of the other members pretty often (in their dorm).

Thanking you for saying (in your credible, professional way) that flirting doesn’t have to be romantic. Flirting can be a very natural part of someone’s personality, but it’s also a generous and vulnerable thing. I feel it’s potentially so harmful to the way they themselves and others perceive them to label that as a necessarily sexual behavior.

The members have said many times that changbin is not able to multitask, so I don't neccesarily think he was being quite on purpose but that he was so focused on what he was doing that he wasn't listening or playing attention to what was happening around him.

Some of the SKZ members (specifically, Lee Know, Hyunjin and Seungmin) were in a car accident today (Wed Sept 20), but other than bumps and bruises, are OK.
JYPE issued a statement saying their performance schedule will be changed a little for upcoming events - the group as a whole pulled out of the Global Citizen Festival, but 3Racha (who were not in the car that had the accident) will still perform there.
I'm just glad it wasn't more serious. Whew.

It's all about authenticity. I've always hated the idea of hiding your emotions for the sake of others, or to not make others feel uncomfortable. No, if I am angry, I am going to feel that anger, I am going to be in that emotion. Additionally, INFPs are also daydreamers so we are in our heads every waking second.

I love the relationship between the Stray Kids members. They really are each other's family and are so whoksome. I also have to admit that I didn't really get/understand Hyunjin until his 2 Kids Room episode with Lee Know. I'm not sure if you have seen it already, but it's one of my favourite episodes from the 2 Kids Room series, and I hope you watch it someday.
