Tom and Sally was the perfect combination. After all she didn't won but that doesn't matter. She gets the respect from the coaches and from the country and thats worth a lot.
For at least the past 35 years, my most favorite, emotional, inspirational, listened-to song has been 'Another Train'. I pulled it from an anthology because the haunting voice of the singer, unknown to me, Sally Barker, wouldn't leave my head. I never thought I'd ever hear from that voice again. It's hard not to sound overly dramatic trying to say what is true, but I wish I could thank her for the many many times that song rescued me over my lifetime.

When Sally sang Walk on By it was a master's class in technique! I think some of the younger contestants were amazed to hear/see her incredible ability. I could listen to her all morning long. Most others, yeah, a song or two is plenty but Ms Barker is real, real easy on the ears!!! Love her singing!

The other contestants are completely transfixed and paralyzed by her performance. Why she didn't win is beyond me! It just shows that the common ear can not listen to the articulations of great music! Just do a beat loop and a couple of stupid lyrics, and you make millions these days! We've lost the meaning of it!

I just found this. Dancing with my ear bugs in and cleaning and doing dishes. And omg she didn’t win. I am just heartbroken. What an amazing voice.
Years later, I am still haunted by her performance. So beautiful .
