It is this moment when “No Surprises” plays and the character screams for help. It is so scary how the music connects you with the character on an emotional level.

The films that are dark and ethereal and contemplative and slow paced pair well with Radiohead. Also, i freaking loved Thom Yorke’s song for Suspiria, it was so tear-worthy.
6 minutes in I was about ready to comment on how you left out "I Origin", one the best uses of RH, and then it came on for the save in the last seconds. I love how important that song is for the films conclusion, the music and lyrics are just as much a part of the film's ending as the story and visuals. Honestly that song and how well it fits the emotion of that closing scene is why I still have such strong memories of that little indie film I watched 5 years ago.
Loved how you guys ended the video from the closing scene from the movie: I Origins. Brilliant movie and the song 'Motion Picture Soundtrack' does huge justice to the movie and ends the movie with getting your heart pounding. Beautiful. Been a radiohead fan since then.
Upon further review you did a great job with this video. I don’t know what my bitch ass was thinking 4 years ago, but your calling of attention throughout the video in which the song shows up throughout the different movies and having cool tonal effects on perspective was very keen. My bad for the useless comment before, though, seriously.

I can't believe how many Radiohead songs I've heard without knowing it. Listening through their discography now, I don't remember the actual songs but I remember the scenes hitting really hard with the music they had.
@Dale Weed You may as well say anything in a minor mode ought to end in a major chord. The song perpetually returns to that D minor chord - it's set up to feel like the tonic. I think that's unambiguously the case. The same can't be said of F, it's never felt to be "home", (experiment with it some). Plus, vi - I is hardly a resolution (one note changes...)
Google in terms of music in general, not regarding music. Beethoven, did this all the time, where he would end on the chord that does not make a resolution. Or more commonly he would make the listener think he was ending the song, like you were certain that he was going for the resolution but then he would choose another chord so he could carry on, like a surprise or a trick.

This was a commendable post and description using proper vernacular for the topic. Thank you for having so thoroughly hashed this out.
I have often wondered for what reason the writers of Peaky Blinders have chosen Radiohead. It was hauntingly beautiful this past season (6), with Thom having written the finale piece. We, the audience, are outsiders from another era. Thanks for sending this home.
A group of artists that have a deep love for the craft and emotional affects of music. There’s not a doubt in my mind that Radiohead will live on to be considered the greatest band ever conceived-pushing the envelope far beyond traditional genres and solidifying themselves as legends...
this is one of my favorite videos in life... I sometimes feel sad for not knowing enough people who'd appreciate it, to share it with them.
I remember seeing them play You and Whose Army? in concert.
Optimistic is best song for me.
Radiohead FOREVER!!!i hope, my kids will love one day..
Radiohead (Paranoid Android) was also used for the ending of Ergo Proxy, a noir philosophical anime.
Don't forget that Radiohead appeared closing one key episode of The Sopranos.
Which? I don't remember that...
@@BuddyWillis Season 4, Episode 2, No Show
Kid A specifically
The worst thing about discovering Radiohead is that, the bar is so f*cking high it's so hard trying to search any other music in the same calibers
I just realized that this was posted on Thom’s 50th birthday last year
The best usage of a Radiohead song is the awesome saloon rendition of Fake Plastic Trees played by the player piano in Westworld
Radiohead is heartbreak
Loved how you guys ended the video from the closing scene from the movie: I Origins. Brilliant movie and the song 'Motion Picture Soundtrack' does huge justice to the movie and ends the movie with getting your heart pounding. Beautiful. Been a radiohead fan since then.
I felt the interpretations of all the songs weren't explained very thoroughly.
You can just listen to them, you don't need to interpret anything
Upon further review you did a great job with this video. I don’t know what my bitch ass was thinking 4 years ago, but your calling of attention throughout the video in which the song shows up throughout the different movies and having cool tonal effects on perspective was very keen. My bad for the useless comment before, though, seriously.
Thom has just announced (09/24) he’s reworked Hail to the Thief for a theatrical production of Hamlet, so there’s that.
I've never cried in my life like in the "I Origins " scene
"Dark decks" at the end of the first episode of Ozark was perfect. Love this video. Thanks.
Everything in it's right place is one of most perfect tracks I can think of. That music makes my tongue taste electricity (not kidding)
There's also "pana-vision" by The Smile in the last episode of Peaky Blinders. Perfect song for that last scene.
Saw Prisoners and Radiohead in one video and I never clicked so fast.
TBH it’s late and I just came here for a quick hit of Radiohead classics with some thoughtful visual accompaniment to remind me of my admiration for their versatile art. Delivered. Thanks mate.
Thank you for making this video! If it wasn't for this video I would of never discovered the film "I Origins". Everyone check that movie out. Incredible film and the Radiohead song at the end haunts me every time.
I can't believe how many Radiohead songs I've heard without knowing it. Listening through their discography now, I don't remember the actual songs but I remember the scenes hitting really hard with the music they had.
So, just more reason to love Villenueve, PTA, and Radiohead.
Genius complementing genius.
Thank you for this video. As a Radiohead fan of 18 years+ I am glad that you recognized this.
If that wasn't a resolution at the end of codex idk what a resolution is
@Dale Weed lol that's exactly what I mean. Song is in D minor. Ends on D minor. Tonic is D. If not, what would it resolve to?
@Dale Weed You may as well say anything in a minor mode ought to end in a major chord. The song perpetually returns to that D minor chord - it's set up to feel like the tonic. I think that's unambiguously the case. The same can't be said of F, it's never felt to be "home", (experiment with it some). Plus, vi - I is hardly a resolution (one note changes...)
you're right, you don't know what one is.
@@john_smith_john yea I even tried googling it and I still apparently have no idea what a resolution is
Google in terms of music in general, not regarding music. Beethoven, did this all the time, where he would end on the chord that does not make a resolution. Or more commonly he would make the listener think he was ending the song, like you were certain that he was going for the resolution but then he would choose another chord so he could carry on, like a surprise or a trick.
You forget of Ozark. In the end of the serie's pilot plays Decks dark. Genious.
You Should Make A Video About Jake Gyllenhaal If You Can
Yes! I got a chance to see Wildlife and he is so great in it!

It is out
Btw i clicked because i saw jake.
Thank you! This is great!
😍😍😍❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
"I Might Be Wrong" was used in an episode of the show Oz. Just a fun fact.
