I found it hilarious though... one gold key head started at .02 ... but 6 of them... was only .09 ( .02x6=/=.09)... so the only way to get value from that .. is by putting them in ONE HEAD AT A TIME. My god you would have a thumb that could win the worlds strongest man contest single thumbed if you used all your extra heads “efficiently”
No mistakes here on any commanders thanks to your videos. I would of done many of these if it wasn't for me watching a few of your videos and stressing the fact first skill always to be maxed first and I still haven't spent 1 universal - F2P new server and we just had the second Richard wheel - Waiting for YSG like suggested - keep up the good work
When applying sculptures to a commander I found that if you click on the skill you want to upgrade highly increases the chance of it being applied to that skill
Im not sure if people know this,well they should but there's always events in KVK where you can donate the extra heads you have for rewards,you can also choose to spend all the points you generate from donating commanders into universal heads. So there is some bright sides I guess
A guy in my old alliance had a level 60 mehmed with 1/2/2/1 He was so happy when he told us he had his first 60 level commander and he was devastated (and destroyed) when he got out into the open field.
I like having control over the skills I upgrade, so i never ever upgrade my commander before the latest skill isn't at 5, too. Saved me from a lot of "broken" commanders. However, I sometimes did weird things in the Talent section. Luckily these mistakes are fixed easily.
Watching this instantly brings a smile to my face...I guess it is my perfectionist nature that forces me to reasearch the holy-fuck out of things before I actually get into them. The only one mistake I did do very early on was not maxing out one of my legendary's (Charles Martel) first skill. That's it! Also, I can't agree more with FOCUSING on one legendary at a time.....I like to build a commander and make sure it is jacked before moving to the next one. I'd rather have one fully built commander at a time than a dozen half-assed commanders.
I'm trying to learn which stars are best to use for each star level as I always used the Auto-add button, but I think it wasted many of my Blessed and Bundle starlights, especially on level 2 and 3 stars... I'm not finding much info on that, so just learning everything I can and experimenting. Thank you.
Worst value I ever got was just recently... I was showing my roommate some stuff about training, and while I've since then changed my gem use notification settings, I had popped a 20k training boost. When I went back to it, I clicked on the barracks and selected the train button. Now the way I had the barracks positioned on my screen allowed the instant gem train to be aligned perfectly with that train button... I mistakenly was able to press that instant button be it instantly and POOF! There went 30k gems. There was no events at all that benefited me training troops at the time either. I shed a tear internally. It was quite upsetting that it happened, but as I said, this is easily avoidable if you select the gem use notifications setting in your game settings. I recommend doing just that. RIP

The first good legendary commander I unlocked was Cao Cao, and I was a f2p, and have no idea how the skills works, so I upgrade him to lvl 30 and now I'm 2-4-3-2....sad, but at least I learned before unlocking the greatests commanders, like YSG, Alex, etc...

Hi Chis, One extra relevant mistake u Might want to coment about is early drooping legendary comm sculptures in the Special event of KvK where u exchange sculptures for prices that are nice but in time... irrelevant. I remember droping Cleo sculptures there because I thought she was lame and I was never going to use her... :( As a F2P I am still crying those... Guys dont do that. Never ever, not even if u max a commander

I killed my Charles Martel. I got him almost right away and brought him to level 37. His first skill is still at 2. Did the same thing with Sun Zu. Still paying for it. My farm account has a better Sun Zu then I have. Luckily I have learned and my newer commanders are getting leveled up slower.
Oh my, I so did this with Minamoto and Cao Cao and now I am screwed and dont want to spend 130$ to fix Minamoto so because of that I barely use him and he has been at 4 stars since. Cao Cao also but I rarely get sculptures of him so he has been so screwed for a while...I am been playing since February's too.
Is guan Yu a good infantry commander for a beginner? i have Cao Cao for Cavalry and was looking for an infantry commander, Guan Yu had decent reviews. Like most beginners i made a mess of Cao Cao....4-4-2-1 Skills -37 days into the game, i decided not to dump universal sculptures into CC (since i can get CC from golden keys) and instead focus on an infantry commander.
I actually used .... say may be more that 200 universals on my CC to expertise him and go ham on enemy resource nodes in kvk 2!! lol, now I hv like 600+ cc's! :(

I still absolutely disagree with you about Genghis Khan though. He is maybe the 3rd or 4th best legendary commander in the game imo. Another huge mistake I made was to spend universal speeups healing days and days of troops in kvk season 1. That's the worst place to use universal speedups because you're not even training troops, you're just re-doing the power you already have.

Im still early game (25 days), got 30 gold heads and 40K gems so saving for the wheel or fortune
Expertise ysg and not richard if you are f2p. Or make ysg 5511. my other advise is save gems for upgrading your vip until vip10. Do it during the more than gems event. Another thing, when you attacking barbs sometimes you'll get gems even though it is only a small amount of gems but believe me just save those gems and use it to upgrade your castle during the more than gems event.
I do get it on gold keys, but in my case it is frustraiting with rng.. my CM is 5411, he is missing 10 sculptures to be 5511.. i open 218 gold chests, and now my CM is still missing 10 sculptures to be 5511... atleast my seondok is 5511 now

You can use Sun Tzu in Garrison and open field. I use garrison/skill build on SunTzu and use him in open field with archers/YSG which makes the infantry tree irrelevant.

I'd save for Guan, most value for Richard is done at 5111. Chis says 5511 for a Richard, but that's if you're really patient. I wasn't lol I have my Richard at 5310

Alot of the legendaries aren't used in the end game (after kvk2) so using tomes and sculptures for them is not a good idea, especially since they come out with new commanders every few months. So it's better to save for a very good new Commander that gets released.

I used all my Universal's to get Richard to 5/3/0/0 on first wheel then I saw you video of how Richards value got dropped
And I am a f2p
His value has dropped, but if you are in a newer kingdom he still has significant value....especially if he is your wheel commander.

Use Aethelflaed heads for stars. To use them at least for something.

There should be a notification before you use universals on any commander
The first account I ever made has a 3111 charles martel and a 1110 CC - I now use it as a farm account so who cares! I still get value from it.

Alot of the legendaries aren't used in the end game (after kvk2) so using tomes and sculptures for them is not a good idea, especially since they come out with new commanders every few months. So it's better to save for a very good new Commander that gets released.
But turning in heads in Past Glory....I think, post KvK = win
