This is massive Ben, can’t wait to see it come together. Amazing to see 1 man take on 1700sqm - good thing you have the machinery around to help you! Your rye looks phenomenal from afar!
Yes mate, this is what I am here for. Once this has all been completed, it is going t look insane, I mean it already does, but with striped fairways as approaches and tight cut fringes, this will be as good as most golf courses
aww it sucks seeing you getting the beanie hat out.. but on a good note we are finally en joying some sunshine.. come on over and garb a few rays! Looking forward to this.
Hey Ben, have you thought about possibly building another green on top of the rise where your 1st tee box will go? You could play up and down then, elevated green would play quite different. Drop the bunker on the dam green design, not sure it fits, and add some front bunkers for hazard on the elevated green. Fairways going to be awesome. Any spots further out for a par 4 tee box? Me and my brother spent hours playing paddock golf up and down, greens cut with rotary mower and rolled with concrete culvert pipe! Enjoying watching
I'm curious about these rocks...it's a lottery I say - small on the surface, as big as a VW underneath...not that I'm wishing that to be the case. This is a great channel, more informative than the time I spent working on the greens.
Im also trying to get rid of some Kikuyu in my cool season grass and was thinking of using DSMA. What's the difference between that and the Fusilade you're using, besides cost?
Haven't used DSMA, have used fulisade in the good forest, and I would use that every time now. Left all my plants alone and really hit the kikuyu and couch for 6.
You hit on something I’ve been dying to ask you. What teejet nozzle would you recommend for an upgrade from the ones that come in the box with the ryobi knapsack sprayer. I want one that can do herbs and ferts, was going to buy the red AI11004-vs as I live in a windy place, but would love a recommendation mate, thanks
I love fulisade, my tafe teacher got me on it. I didnt need a license to buy in Victoria. We use it for our orchard and food forest and holy crap does that thing kill kikuyu and couch so well. Left all our other plants alone.
How do you intend on fertilising this large of an area? Your fairway size is the same size as my yard and I’m struggling to find a cost effective way to fertiliser a large area.
I think Ben used to use apparent demolish. I used it after he suggested it the lawn was pretty much 1 third old growth pasplaum. It did the job eventually. It took a few more applications than I'd hoped and about 3 months to clear a large residential size front yard. Best bought from farm supply shops etc rather than turf specialists that charge a premium..
Are you not worried about the amount of chemical or fertilizer run off into the pond? Especially with all the wildlife around bird, rabbits, reptiles etc.....
Been waiting for this for 22 months. It’ll be worth the wait when it’s all finished

I'm looking forward to this! I wonder how big those rocks will be.

Same combo I used to kill the tiftuf in my backyard 👌🏽
Yes. was hoping you were going to add some fairway...
Any plans to put a fountain in the dam or anything at all? Nice plans around it? Palm tree?
Giddy up !!!! Progression-love it mate….what’s the plans for the paddock either side of the fairways?
Any plans on putting a bunker? This is totally cool! Can’t imagine the time and work behind all this plus editing all your vids.. 👊
You didnt have to touch the rabbit turds🤣🤣
“That’s what she said” 😂
What’s the plan for the areas not part of the fairway? Just leaving the weeds?
Yesssss!
Tried to like this video 10x over but yt wouldn’t let me 😤😆

I have the same issue, advice would be welcome! Also where to buy from?

No issues with spraying near the dam Ben?
thats what she said
Can fusilade kill grass without killing
Plants like ground covers ect.
Wheres the bunker going?
go schnitty!
Is there a herbicide that targets just paspalum and won't kill your other grasses? I've got a bit of a crabgrass infection in my couch

I'm not first 😂
Sooooo thongs aren't PPE?
Are you not worried about the amount of chemical or fertilizer run off into the pond? Especially with all the wildlife around bird, rabbits, reptiles etc.....
4 months worth of prep?
I think it will be a lot of pulling rocks out 😂
I’m only one bloke unfortunately so it does take longer on a big area
Anybody know the name of the song used? Specifically the one at the 7:00 mark
Let's goooo
I bloody hope there's no rocks up ya backside 🤣😂🤣😂
You sound a bit sick?
Yeah just a cold and cough. Feeling pretty good though!
Its gonna look great but why are you making a fairway no one will be hitting on
For chipping practicing and pitch shots.
Plus more grass types for me to play with and teach people about
