    Wow. I used to sleep in my car there for months when I was homeless around 89. Can remember going there as a kid with my parents. Thanks for posting.

      May I ask was it closed back then or still open? did the owners know you were sleeping there? use to be a caravan park on the outer edge I think from memory?

    I remember playing in that boot. The whole area was flat and cleared.
    We loved this place and the African Lion Safari….”it’s scary, but nobody cares”

    I used to love going there. Although the shoe was always scary, even back then!

    I remember going there as a kid to drive the karts, but they were never running- I also remember paddle boats on the lake but always tied up...
    Place always had a bit of smell about it, was pretty much empty most times & was run down & dilapidated...
    This was back in late 80's & had been like that for some time before it shut- even before Wonderland opening up...
    There's another one on a much smaller block IN Warragamba itself, opposite the Lion Park's block- good luck getting in though & not getting busted! :v ;)

    Where the ginger meggs sign was, that was the stage that used to back onto the giant slide, if you are curious as to where the slide used to be. I heard it mysteriously disappeared one night, but who knows......

    13:20 FCN Fairfield Community News Your Local Community News Paper. I think it became the Champion News Paper or they brought it out. 17:40 was the Woman's toilet block 18:00 was a food and convenience spot near the picnic area.20:00 was a little creek that ran past the picnic area the fence in the distance from you was the boundary fence. I would have to add that it's been some time since I worked and enjoyed the location. I was a what you might call a team rover an information person. 24:00 you found the Grand Prix Go Cart Trak little 20cc go carts used to use be driven on it.

    In 1986 and I think around 1990 the George’s River which is nearby flooded from torrential rain and naturally the place got swamped as well.

      @katrinamareen 2 години тому

      It was haunted back in the 90s. The story was there was a kid who drowned or something? And they couldn't leave. So they were seen on rides and stuff. I remember this girl pretending to be a ghost to get ahead in ride lines.😅

      aussiedave1962 Adventureland was located on Camden Valley way, just outside Liverpool in what is now called Edmunson Park.
