- 2024 Appalachian Trail Thru Hiker Interviews and Trail Magic in Virginia with Trail Gospel - After dropping Rerun and Rodney off at the Airport, I headed about and hour and a half south to find and support Wrangler and Tortoise. I have been following them on their UA-cam Channel which is "Trail Gospel" and planned to support them when they are farther north. The timing of our hike and their location worked out to support them a couple times before heading home. The first day I drove a long winding dirt road to the trailhead on VA Route 623 and in the morning caught them on VA 615 next to Laurel Creek where I enjoyed lunch under the bridge on my 2020 AT Thru Hike. Another special event was meeting a thru hiker with the trail name Lighthouse. He is a retired Coastie and brother in the Lord and we had some great stories to share. His trail name is so appropriate from having been in the Coast Guard as well as being a light on the trail for the Lord. Unfortunately I did not get an interview or pictures with Lighthouse but the fellowship was excellent.

So glad you were able to meet tortoise and Rambler. Looking forward to meeting them myself in New England. Great group of hikers. I wish you all well in this incredible adventure you have undertaken.

Fun group of hikers! Easter bear 🤣🐻 oo, VA 615 looked like it got some fresh gravel since I was last there.
VA 615 was in very good shape. Was a great spot to meet up with Wrangler, Tortoise, Lighthouse and others.
Love the forests....with the water pouring over the rocks and all those secret mossy places along the way. Lol....I love the claps at the end of Turtle's story....lol. Oh my goodness...I had no idea that timber rattlers could get that large ! Yikes ! Good job Wrangler !

Thanks Sue! Enjoyed meeting Praiser and how she obtained her trail name. It was great to catch Trail Gospel sooner than planned and extra special to meet Lighthouse! Always nice to meet a fellow Coastie and believers.

I met some very special people on this day and hope to meet some of them again later this month. Wish I had interviewed Lighthouse. Wrangler and Tortoise have continued to see him since then.
