Great park. It was always a go to place for day use beaching as well. For my entire life the coastal bend from Corpus to Rockport has always been my happy place! Nice job once again!

@@campingtexan7721 Yes! I live and have lived in San Antonio my whole life so Goose Island was always just a couple hours away! My wife and I will be in Rockport in 3 weeks for a 5 day getaway. We don't have our travel trailer (yet) but that'll be in the near future!
Absolutely, it is one of the better sites at Mustang Island SP. You are doing the right thing booking it early. It can be a tough reservation to get!! 👍😎

I know it's been a couple years but I'm wondering if everyone drives from their campsite to the beach or walks or bikes? We're thinking about bringing the kids' scooters to get from the campsite to the beach. Not sure if that would work well.
Great question! Yes, you can drive out on the beach but your kids would have to ride their scooters on the pavement in the parking lot because of the transition between the pavement and the sand to the beach.
