I think the difference is for humans, they become one flesh physically and spiritually but with God it never says we become one flesh with God. We become one IN spirit. There’s a big difference there. There is no sexual bond with God or among angels either.

Yes, thank you. At least someone here has common sense! There’s a distinction that makes this an entirely different thing. God is to be feared as our Holy creator and us as His children, He didn’t create us for sexual relations with Him, and comparing our relationship to Him as any semblance of the meaning of intercourse is dumbing down and defining wrongly what truly happens. As you said we become one in spirit, not one in flesh! And He makes us into a new creation in this process and makes us like Him, intercourse does. not. do. that. He atones for our sins when we allow Him to be our Lord. Our relationship to Him is something entirely different. The husband - wife relationship is to mirror our relationship to God but not equate it! THAT RIGHT THERE is a distinction that Todd denies! His logical basically stated here that “mirroring/metaphor=equating” and that’s a really faulted way of teaching and thinking! This is perversion of our relationship to Him and perversion of the Word of God. It. Is. Problematic. You can’t just toss the word intercourse around as if the context of that isn’t sexual at all. He just wrongly defined the meaning of a word to a congregation and led people astray. Some of these mega church pastors are not being led well themselves, if the church he ran were properly structured some elder who should be in a leader position could’ve pulled him aside and questioned this teaching. This is probably leading so many people astray and I’m glad other people are questing this because we should be 🤨
The job of a pastor is to help people think and study God’s word well, so that they can deeply know what truth really is and live life in accordance to it. Todd including many other mega church pastors are failing to do that. Harsh truth but it’s the reality of what’s happening. If anyone’s heard of the documentary “the American Gospel” they expose Todd lying to people by performing false miracles of healing and claiming it to be God, and they debunk it showing how he faked it. He didn’t honor God in these interactions and led people who didn’t even know God before, astray. I mean, I just don’t know how you can trust somebody personally who went off and did that with no conscience telling them it was deceptive or wrong. I mean, it’s really sketchy. The documentary exposes a lot of these mega church pastors and, it’s worth checking out.

I think we are missing the point. Natural intercourse is a representation of Spiritual intimacy. So what we know as sex, is actually a spiritual phenomenon where the minds and hearts meet.
Tod just needs to sharpen his teaching skills because there are teaching methods that take away from the lesson instead of adding to it.
One last thing, it would be wise of us to separate the pleasure from intimacy. Pleasure is a fruit of intimacy but it doesn't mean there's no intimacy without pleasure. When you understand that, everything else makes sense when you translate it into the spiritual. IT'S NOT ABOUT THE PLEASURE. IT'S ABOUT THE PURPOSE OF INTIMACY.

He is using sex as an example just like God uses marriage as an example. God did not mean we actually marry, yet he says he is our husband. Todd white did not mean actual sex yet he is using it to describe our closeness to him. The Christians aren't getting the point.

I used to love Todd White years ago, but now as a more mature christian, I think he needs more accountability, idk what the pastoral staff looks like at his church but I wonder if he’s running these sermons by any elders? Surely one should stop him and say u need to word this better!
I think I see his point and there’s a biblical truth here! The representation of a husband and wife becoming intimate and “knowing” each other is to be completely vulnerable and giving yourself up to each other and loving each other fully and without reservation! It’s a wonderful gift and design by God! And so I think we can take some of those truths and apply that to our relationship with God, he knows us deeply and fully, and he see’s all our “nakedness” and shame. Yet he loves us enough to send his own son to die in our place. So I completely agree with Paul- no pastor should ever even hint at the idea of being sexually intimate with God- that is completely evil and wrong. But I also agree with Morgan, becasue there’s a biblical representation of marriage and Christ and the church- that being, Jesus loves us perfectly and knows all of our flaws, (but the metaphor ends there 😂)

I think Ephesians 5:31-33 helps clarify this, but also explains this is a great mystery probably for the very reasons you are discussing. How do you separate our human knowledge of being one to the spiritual one of being one with Christ. Is it paralleling a human example to a spiritual one, not literally having sexual relations with God? Since Paul says it is a mystery, perhaps we just need to trust that mystery into God’s hands. We will know better in eternity.

God is very careful and precise with His choices of words in the Bible. I think believers should be too, and always err on the side of caution. God doesn’t “watch” porn with us, He is holy. That’s so crude and paints sick images in people’s minds. What he should’ve said is something along the lines of “God will never leave you nor forsake you, even when you’re watching porn”

    Here’s how I interpreted it:
What was sex created for? To join one man & one woman within marriage. What did God create marriage for? To be a beautiful representation of Christ & The Church (His Bride)… so I think he was just trying to make a parallel you know? But I also agree, with what the word intercourse means in society… definitely not the best way to make the connection….. now… for the second clip……😅😅😅😅😅😅

I don't believe he is referring to the natural, the flesh. But in the Spirit, you become one. Just like the temple is a representation of what happens within us. The holy of holies being our spirit, the inner courts our soul and the outer courts our flesh.
In the Spirit, we are communing with God. That is the knowing, which then there is a producing, . From that knowing there is a producing of seed and fruit in our lives.. Like a physical natural relationship, they are intimate and then have children. That is a Physical representation.
God is holy, everything he has made represents him. And brings glory to him. Sin in the world has perverted everything.
But Idk what is in Todds mind honestly. He is using vulgar words.

Intercourse originally meant: exchange, commerce, correspondence, interchange, run-between. It didn’t come to have a sexual meaning until the 18th century.
BUT it does almost always get used regarding sex in 2023. So my question becomes, was that term used for shock value instead with the motive of glorifying God? And I can’t truly know Todd White’s heart behind why he used that term. So….. 🤷🏻‍♀️

First of all, I do not listen to Todd White since I believe his theology is off . But read Ezekiel 16, most specifically verses 8 & 9 and listen to the intimate language God Himself uses in regard to entering into a sacred oath and covenant with Jerusalem.
On a side note, this is why marriage between a man and a woman is an "eternal" covenant. Ideally both are virgins when they marry and it is a blood covenant. God is still married to Israel, in spite of her harlotry. This is what marriage between a man and woman are meant to be a picture of, an eternal covenant.

The word for "knowing" is used also for God knowing his people, like with Abraham (Genesis 18:19). It means alot more than just intercourse... But I believe that God does want to know us in an intimate way that we can't fully grasp. The Bible is full of that. I don't unterstand how you can miss that. He loves us so much, it's more than what we can ever experience in a human relationship. I'm sorry, but I do see God as my lover. He's the lover of my soul. It's the most intimate relationship we can have, that's what we're made for. The Bible is full of that. (Ever read Isaiah and God's love for His people?) That doesn't mean anything sexual though. Through marriage, we can get a taste of what real intimacy with God is like. But with God it will be a perfect relationship, even better that marriage. I don't believe Sex has or will have anything to do with it. It is only temporary, it won't be a part of heaven. Maybe I misunderstood you there with what you were trying to say, but I think marriage is a symbol of our relationship with God and not the other way around...

Jesus is in fact your lover, as in John 3:16; don’t allow the context of this world to limit your revelation of who God is.
When they say “Jesus is your Lover,” it means that what you’re looking for out there cannot be found in another human being, you can’t count on another human being to love you like Jesus does, so Him a being a Lover to us means that He Loves us (not the way you’re assuming it), I hope you grasp the purity of what I’m saying to you. 🙏🏼🤍

Gen 19:5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
1 Kings 1:4 And the damsel was very fair, and cherished the king, and ministered to him: but the king knew her not.
Also, if he is lying about the leg lengthening he is probably lying about his testimony. He lies all the time. Claims to be shot point blank x amount of times and was unharmed. Claims hundreds of people picked up their wheel chairs healed in one service. Oh, and he has made millions out of all this.

I think its comparing sinful desire to godly desire and there is no comparison. God and His love is much greater than any thing the world offers as pleasure. What should be instead preached is new creation in christ, a heart of stone becoming a heart of flesh. He changes our desires to His. We are in the end times its gettin weird out there folks. Alot of preachers worrying about reaching the lost trying to sound more secular when all we need is the gospel. We need a savior and deliverance from old familiar spirits. If you read this please hear me from the most love I have for you guys. I love you both but this shouldn’t have been uploaded. Both of you are great role models for young Christians; You need to do a better job at breaking down theology, and teaching the word with more precision. You do have a big influence on younger Christians, and you need to explain your supportive arguments on a deeper level from first testing this against proper theology from the Word of God. Contextual evidence is needed. You are spreading false information and misleading people with this teaching. I hate that other UA-camrs are poking fun at you guys (nickisnotgreen for example) and complaining about your arguments you make, pointing out the flaws and the reasons being shown as ignorant or baseless. I know you guys are capable of constructing theological points with founded evidence, and teaching the Word with factual reasoning. The inductive reasoning on this channel needs fine tuning, and that is OK. I’m saying this because if you keep on like this people won’t take you seriously.
This is an important topic that I believe was inappropriately handled. His teaching cannot be concluded as “well maybe it is this” or “his intention was probably this and that’s maybe why he put it that way” when we are breaking down the meaning of God’s Word. What he said was downright wrong. This wasn’t a gray area subject. You left this open-ended for your audience to decide if what he said was theologically okay or not okay. You guys are the teachers. You both need to come to a conclusion together when it comes to the Word of God alone, something was wrong that needed correction, you’re the ones who are to correct it so that your audience is not led astray. You did the opposite here. You left this open-ended for subjective reasoning. You also stated we become one flesh with God, which is unbiblical and untrue. God gives power to our flesh as we are dead in our flesh and because of that He has to give us a new flesh when He brings in the new world [Romans 8:10-11;8:13; Philippians 3:21]. We become separated from our old flesh when we pass on until that time. Confusingly, you did not correct yourselves there and now you’re spreading false unbiblical information without batting an eye. Why wouldn’t you edit that out or type in something to correct what you had said? Don’t you take seriously the thought of providing false information to people and leading them astray? This is clearly tested against scripture as false, and this wouldn’t have happened if you took responsibility and checked for your large platform. The audience is busy providing their conclusions and evidence, even @irishrose777 corrects this, but not many will know enough to do that and will be led astray by what you have said. Aren’t you concerned of this, as you’re talking about Todd needing to be clearer lest people wrongly interpret his sermon?
This isn’t another social issue, and you treated it as such with social commentary remarks. Even titling your video as “P&M Disagree” is treating this as if it’s about your personal opinions, when this should have broken down the theology and exposed the flaws. There shouldn’t have been a “debate” about this; Why are you leading with that?? Your comments section are all proving this to be true as they’re the ones who have to pick which side they’re on, and drawing their own conclusions instead of properly being given an answer.
I want what’s best for your ministry so please take this constructive criticism as said out of my concern and love for you guys. You have been a good influence on me in the past so please understand that. Sometimes we need to take constructive criticism from those we feed, which is us, your audience. Please consider bringing this to the Lord in prayer and discuss it with a theological smartie in your life and with your pastor. I prayed about this too regarding not just this video but the well-being of yourselves and the ministry. This was mishandled to your audience and this is where we have to call something out in gentleness or hold people accountable because it’s needed.
If you don’t see my points as valid or something to actually concern for you can analyze the commentary I made for Todd’s sermon that I posted under @irishrose777 comment, where I agreed with their statement and added onto it. I care for theology and have needed correction in my life and I take it. I hope that commentary I made you can see that, and consider my constructive criticism as valid.
((P.S.)) If you need an example of someone who does this well who is a “Christian commentator” it’s UA-camr Ruslan KD. I’m sure you’ve heard of him. Y’all if any of you reading this made it to this last paragraph wow, God Bless you. He posted his video 3 days ago covering this, and it’s actually informative and guides the audience in the right direction. Paul, Morgan, you can take some ques from him as a good example of how you could address information like this in the future. Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/Efol5Kl1_Qc/v-deo.html

I’m not usually one to talk about subjectivity when we have the objective word of God, but on this occasion and with those clips of Todd White I do believe Morgan was making appropriate points, and she came to the same conclusion I did after watching both ‘ithinkbiblically’ and ‘Ruslans’ videos. I think Ruslan overreacted and and misunderstood what was being said, he heard the word intercourse and ran for his life without giving it deeper thought. I do believe Todd White is a false teacher, I believe he is deceived and deceiving others, I believe his leg growing videos are disgustingly fake and I believe he does not preach the Gospel in truth in his evangelism videos, so I would mark and avoid Todd White and encourage everyone else to do the same, but this does not mean every single thing he say’s is false. I do not believe Todd White is saying we should have intercourse with God, that would be absolutely disgusting and wrong to even suggest, but like Morgan said, Todd is expressing the biblical truth that we are now one with God in a similar way to how Adam is one with eve, no, this does not mean we now have a sexual relationship with God, he’s simply recognising that marriage and the closeness of unity in marriage reflects Christ and the church and God’s intimacy with His people. I think Todd saying the word ‘intercourse’ threw a lot of people off, but again, he was simply talking about the unity of a married couple reflecting Christ(the bridegroom) and the church(His bride).
“For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.”
      ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭30‬-‭32‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
There is an allusion here evidently to the language which Adam used respecting Eve. "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh;" Genesis 2:23. It is language which is employed to denote the closeness of the marriage relation, and which Paul applies to the connection between Christ and his people.
Although Ephesians says “we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones” I don’t think that means we can use the language of being one flesh with God, although i’m sure that argument could be made, possibly… So I disagree with Morgan saying we become one flesh with God, but she’s along the right lines.
      1 Corinthians 6:17 (ESV)
“But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.”
Should she have corrected this before uploading and made it clear what she was trying to say? Probably… but as you can see the purpose of this video is meant to be an open discussion about Todd Whites teaching, this is not a teaching video although people will learn from it, it is a video discussing openly about a topic which is absolutely fine, and people can watch and come to their own conclusions. But I know you struggle with that because you think you are objectively right about this issue, which is ok, that’s your view, but I disagree and who knows I may even change my mind at some point. I Think people’s understanding of what Todd White was saying is subjective, but there is an objective truth in what he is saying which is biblical.
Paul and Morgan don’t need to adapt their channel to make the exact content you think they should make, that’s up to them, if you’re looking for a different style of video, then you can find that elsewhere. You can suggest ideas, but don’t advise them as if the type of content they are making is wrong and that they must be making teaching videos, that’s not right.
      God bless :)

@@GoodGospel_ Hello sir, by the way you were able to break that down I feel more at ease. You were able to explain where they were coming from and pin point what biblical concepts Morgan was talking about. Do I feel like their content is the kind I would go for in terms of their social commentaries? Right now I’m really not sure. I appreciate what they did for me in the past but I feel as though I need videos of people breaking concepts down specifically and teaching rather than only discussing. That’s why I appreciate Ruslan’s video, since I feel informed and educated rather than only guided by my mind’s own capacity to interpret perspectives without an educational format. I appreciate that you went ahead and wrote all of that out so that I could understand where P&M were coming from. And knowing this information now I would say I do agree with you on what you had said. It’s a tough pill to swallow to realize you went wrong somewhere, but I am human and I do make mistakes and logical errors. Sometimes I need to be called out too if I think something to be correct yet I still went the wrong direction along the way. Thank you for being gentle in your correction, I shouldn’t be telling people what to do with their content, but what you said helped me realize what I really need and why I may not resonate with their videos these days.

Sometimes cringe/ick can be a reaction in the flesh. The Spirit brings revelation without a religious outlook. I understand that there may be a valid reason to be uncomfortable with what Todd said. But songs of solomon is a book in the Bible where many interpret similarly. I think Todds words are being taken in the wrong way in some cases. Im proud of Morgan for having an open mind on this

Hmmm yes I see Morgan’s side but I am more leaning towards Paul’s side I’m sorry! If you look up know or knew I’m the biblical times they refer to intercourse. Even rape you the Bible uses it in that context of knowing. So I don’t think it’s specifically meaning they knew or know each other other then secs… Tod white is a smart person he could easily have used words other then sexual words to explain this concept. When I don’t see it clearly in the Bible and my spirit feels off it’s a no go for me

I think that you’re over sexualizing the wording and that’s where the problem lies. I think here the word climax just means the highest point. In the same sense as how monks never marry and remain celibate. They spend all this time getting to know god and worshipping and getting to a place where they live in euphoria with gods love. He’s saying god can be that feeling for you too if you’d just look for him instead of turning to porn, or sex, or whatever you get your joy from. Climax and orgasm are not the same thing it’s like the climax of a story. Last I checked I didn’t orgasm when I hit the climax of my last book. I always took “the two become one” to mean that the two enter into one marriage. Sex is not what cements you as one. It’s the covenant you make with your partner and god that makes you one.

Btw Girls defined didn't use the word "intercourse" but they used the exact same verse "Adam knew Eve" and refered it to the deep confection between a married couple, so yes, they didn't made it sexual with their words, but it came close to this guy.

Girl defined should not use the word”girl.” They are WOMEN WITH CHILDREN! They need to,start acting that way instead of very uncool 90’s teenagers to be a positive influence to CHRISTIAN WOMEN! Girl defined sound so 8-12 year oldish. Let’s get on some adult topics(outside of Betty’s se life and masturbation) and discuss real problems and solutions for this time in middle aged wife life. Things change. Priorities change and an honest open discussion acting your age would be most helpful for their platform. If they need suggestions they can shoot me a message. I’m not Dundee but I am a Christian. I hold to my values and beliefs and we’ve taught our now adult children to do the same.

I don't personally love either of those clips. I think the scripture is full of wonderful examples of ways to correctly characterize God's relationship with his saints. For example, the idea that only the Spirit knows the mind of the father and the Spirit lives in us.
Knowing a person's inner thoughts is impossible which is why highlighting the depth of the relationship in that way would've been better

I feel like it could go both ways. I mean if you read song of Solomon with the understanding that the women is the church and the man is Christ.... That's a pretty intimate book. I do take issues with trying to equate the two knows though. Just cause it's the same word doesn't mean it's the same meaning.

Your force to break, blow, burn, and make me new.
I, like an usurp'd town to another due,
    Labor to admit you, but oh, to no end;
Reason, your viceroy in me, me should defend,

Yet dearly I love you, and would be lov'd fain,
    But am betroth'd unto your enemy;

I understand exactly where Todd White is coming from. When Jesus said that he would destroy the temple and raise it up again in three days, he didnt mean literally. And people that got hung up on the literal words missed the point. When we take communion, a non-believer might get hung up on the fact that we refer to the wine as "The Blood" and the bread as "Christ's body broken for us", but that's not literal. I think Todd's choice of words were intense, and because he can be eccentric, I can see the controversy, but I dont believe he meant literally, just as communion and the tearing down of the temple were/are not literal

I think anything her on earth given by God has a heavenly source just as the devil, will pervert the things of God to a hellish source. Marriage and two becoming one on earth foreshadows the deep relationship we have and will have with Jesus. We are the bride of Christ. We are to be in perfect harmony with God. When Jesus comes back he’s coming back for his bride not his wife. The church will then become his wife. Hence why earthly marriage will be no longer. Idk 🤷🏽‍♂️
That’s all for this first clip at least
    Second clip 😂😂😂😂
I get it i really do get it However maybe he could’ve kept that one between him and God until he could phrase it better for the world to hear. But I do understand what he’s trying to get across.

We are the bride of Christ and will be MARRIED to Jesus when He comes back. He could have said we are His very good friend and will be hanging out with Him when He returns. But He chose to use marriage. Sex is an earthly thing with spiritual foundations - the uniting of souls. Of course God is not referring to sex as He is not an earthly being.

Read Matthew 7:21. The word know used is --> ginóskó = To sexually/intimately know. Jesus will reject souls due to lack of ginóskó with Jesus. The same translation of 'know' is in Luke 1:24. Mary did not ginóskó Joseph, its highlighted that she was a virgin, yet, she conceived a child.
Honeetly, y'all need more decernment from the Holy Ghost, so much of the natural mind/flesh is in the way. Use the bible to debunk, not the ways that seem right to a man.
And y'all should be on the same page, y'all are married. These debates between the both of you not agreeing on huge spiritually and biblical topics is off.
Praying for you both. Y'all have a huge platform and many souls look up to you. Surrender these topics fully to the Lord and confirm what He wants spoken about. The more followers, the more souls you Paul will have to give an account for on judgement day. Please be careful and fully fear the Lord brother.
    Love you both ❤

Someone who took ancient greek here. No, γινωσκω does NOT explicitly mean to know someone sexually. It can have that meaning but that's not the only way it is used and actually it's not even the most common.
It pretty much translates to recognize or to receive knowledge about something. It's not the same as οιδα which is typically used for to know. But it definitely doesn't have a sexually connotation as a primary or even ultimate function.

It does stipulate in the bible how both Christian slave owners and slaves should behave and how to treat one another. Americans tend to be quite close-minded when it comes to things like slavery. When someone says "slavery" their minds automatically go to "blacks in chains on a plantation".
There were forms of slavery in the Roman empire where slaves chose bondage rather than freedom.
