I feel like this song perfectly describes what it's like to have ADHD. The singer sounds on the verge of tears, the metaphors are perfect. This song kinda represents the relationship between me and my dead mother... lotta stuff happened, and she treated me both like I was her closest confidant and some kind of therapist to vent to (I was 8) and like I was a toddler again, singing me lullabies when she was drunk. I remember how freaked I was inside whenever she did that, but I never said anything. I remember she’d apologize over and over again for her “little mistakes” and now I can’t stand adults apologizing to me in a time of crisis, because it’s not comforting at all, it just reminds me of trauma. She used to call me “baby girl” and while it was a usual nickname for me, towards the end when she was drunk and relied on me for support and stuff, it just made me want to run away from her. So... this reminds me of my mom. idk where she is. Probably working at a strip club for drug money. I remember her getting hgih as a kite and telling me that she was gonna kill herself because the voices wouldn't stop talking to her, She used to get really drunk too and would get all giggly and sing and shit and oh god now I can't stand alcohol or people who are "happy" drunks.
I'm really sorry that's horrible and I'm sorry you had to go through that, I know I may not know you in real life but I have some sort of knowledge of what you went through, not with my parents no but with other members of my family who would be wasted almost every time I can remember, and I thought it was normal, I hope that your ok now though.

Honestly I’m an amazing liar and actor, and the only way it grew to be this way is because I wanted to appease everyone around me who found I was easy to use. I’m better, but I still find myself smiling even when I feel like having a dysphoria attack.

She doesn't accept me for who I am and often yells at me for things like changing my name. This is where the changing comes in. She is constantly screams at everyone in my family and it quite literally "drives me insane" which is why I love that line so much. She gave me and is still giving me so much trauma that I'm really broken at this point. It's left me with not much left of myself. I'm really trying to get it back though :). I've started opening up to my friends about it, booking therapy appointments, and coming up with better coping mechanisms than what I used to do. This song really hit home for me and I'm thankful for this video because it popped up on my recommended and now I listen to it constantly.

Yea. I understand your pain. Many people have just been trying to get through each day. Trying to find reasons not to kill themselves. Sometimes finding none and others living through things like music or even drugs. Life is hard and shitty. It’s an abusive relationship with yourself and the world. Just remember to enjoy it, because when it’s gone you won’t be able to enjoy anything like it again. Just make it through the day and find things that make you happy. Don’t be afraid to indulge in selfishness it’s what makes us people. We understand others suffering and we try to connect to them because we care and have compassion. Words can save a life and god I hope mine have saved at least one from having a bad day.

I love this song it's exactly how I feel most of the time. The line "you say I'm changing, sorry I didn't know I had to stay the same" really hits me. Everyone always thinks you have to stay the same person for example when my mom says "Where did my little girl go? " I'm not your little girl anymore people change. And the line "I try to show emotions, but my eyes just wont wet" explains how I feel most of the time. I'm honestly glad I have people that understand me. I need to cry but I can't get anything out of my eyes it's like I'm broken.. At least I know some people are broken with me.

This song reminds me of being unable to do simple things because you over-think, too physically sore from doing nothing, or just being trapped in your mind.

Then you sat there for 15 minutes trying to remember how to stand up, while thinking about what your friends were saying about you behind your back.
When you finnaly remember that you're supposed to be doing something you stand up with a jerk, like you do when trying to swallow a pill.

I relate to this song so much, I was in a toxic relationship with a girl across my street, she used to hold my head underwater, minapulate me, talk behind my back, bully me, she changed my from my old self, I changed from extrovert to introvert from her, she also made me do things against my will, and is honestly a horrible person, I even considered suicide, but I didn't, I went to a therapist, but the voice of my ex best friend, now enemy's voice still haunts me till this day, bringing out the bad in me, making me have trust issues and ptsd, I barely have any friends, and I'm scared they will leave me too, but honestly, I give up, I haven't showed my emotions or how I feel for the last six months, I now suffer from sevear depression, anxiety, ptsd, adhd, and ocd, I also do fundraisers for toxic relationships/friendships, and speak out against it, I also support a suicide prevention company, remember that if you are bullied, please tell a parent or trusted adult, thank you. #keeptoxicaway edit: I am being treated for my conditions, don't worry.

This just hits diffrent when during lockdown and summer you finally showed your 'friends' from your class your true self and now they make fun of you cos you like rock, classical music, english (i'm from poland) and the fact that you like the dream smp 😌✌
This reminds me of my current relationship in mix with my anxiety and depression. There's days where I can't stand talking to them because they feed my anxiety so much. They don't know this, but every time I try to tell them they seem to ignore it. They seem to be too caught up in their fear of being alone that they would rather force me to spend time with them than let me take time to deal with my own problems.
They're a master at guilt tripping and I'm an expert at not saying what I really mean.
But I care for them, and they care for me.
update:
It's been a month and I've seen more and more of their manipulative side and I realised this isn't what I want, however due to the virus I can't see them in person and I'm not gonna break up with them over a text or a phone call.
I will however try to tell them that i am not okay with them trying to control me. I don't want to hurt them but I also don't want to keep on hurting me for their sake day in day out.

@@mahaaaa04 Thanks pal, that's really nice of you to say. And I am making progress towards choosing for what's best for me lately ^^. My partner and I talked about some things which cleared the air for a bit, but I'm gonna talk to them more once I feel I am stable enough to open up more. If they are willing to try and give me my space and time to heal I'll try my best to let them know what I think is best for us. And if this relation ship gets too hard I'll call it off because I don't want it to be unhealthy for either of us.

@@woogusboogus9947 I got out of the relationship which went alright. I'm still friendly with them, and our relationship now is healthier. But I'm still a little scared to let my guard down too far around them.
I can still feel the effects of the negative relationships I've had, but I can also tell I've grown because of them 🤗.
I'm trying my best to be happier, and I feel like I'm slowly getting there.
I hope it will get better for you as well. I've had a fair share of relationships which ended badly (Stalking and threats), but time has made it easier to deal with.
