Love pottery barn kids backpacks. My grandson still has his in excellent condition from pre k and he’s going to fourth grade now. Will continue to purchase through his teen years although last year he used the same one twice. Still in great condition!

You can absolutely spot clean it. I know it’s not recommended but I toss their packs in the wash every 3 weeks or so. And hang dry them. Those bags are all over the floor of the school and bus. I prefer to sanitize them in the wash. They have turned out fine for me after a year. ☺️

Hi looking at getting my kids the small backpack for age 5 and 8 they’re on the small size thinking large would be too big. Important for me as long as folder or regular book size will fit is enough. Small says 15 inch . Recommendation hgreatly appreciated thank you
Hi there! The small works great for my three year old, however if I have to fit more than a folder/book/ lunch it gets pretty tight. But if you’re packing light, I think the small is ideal for a Small child. My son who is almost six and very tall works well with the large. Plus we also pack his lunch and a change of clothes so the large is better for that. We have been using them since September and love them. Hope that helps. 🤗
I would look into a backpack that has the laptop pocket for your kiddo. That way the computer is extra protected. This one does not have that feature. My kids are still in kindergarten/daycare, and need minimal books and materials at this point. 😊
Of course I’d love to answer your question. They held up pretty good. The liner in the frozen one was starting to unravel a tiny bit, but my daughter is very rough with her things. I may try a new brand this upcoming school year, but I ordered a Minnie mouse one for my daughters day camp lunches. I think they were worth the price I paid. 🤗 Hope that helps.
