I own the farm my grandma grew up on. I get several letters and phone calls a week from companies wanting to buy my land. My grandma grew up there. My family cemetery is there. My great-grandparents are buried there. I won't ever sell it.
@@katrinaprescott5911 I feel ya. I live on the 110 acre farm and live in the house(120+ years old) that my grandparents bought in 1929 just before the banks busted in the Great Depression. I also own the 60 acre farm and house(grew up in with my parents ) that my Poppy bought from my uncle. I get letters wanting to buy and phone calls. I live in South GA, my town went through the northern eyewall of Helene. We had damage to our pecans trees on the farm. No damage to house. Last week I am outside trying to do cleanup from the damage when my phone rings. Didn't recognize number but I had been waiting for calls from the insurance adjuster, cable company, etc. It was a rep for some company wanting to buy our 2 farms. I cut her off mid sentence. The thought going through my mind is we are considered a disaster area from Helene and you folks already trying to swoop in and buy property. I told the lady that the farm was not for sale now nor never. The farm has been in my family for almost 100 years and it will never be sold. It will stay in my family until the end of time. Hung up and blocked number. I bet that lady thought how rude. Yea, I was rude but so sick of these land buyers. I don't care how much money they offer me, a pricetag can't be put on memories and promises. My husband and I moved into my grandparents house after we got married in 1983, raised our 4 kids, 3 grandkids ages 6, 3 & 2 and one on the way. Like the song says, " The House that Build Me".
Memories have a great hold on us, we can't just give that up! My grand parents had that kind of land, 12 children, 35 grand children, 55 great grandchildren all gather there. Memories keep all those people coming back. Thanks for reviewing this song, I knew the song and never saw the video. Have a great day.
I don’t know if you caught it, but the old gentleman has dementia. This is why he did not recognize the men and asked his daughter if they were friends of hers. He was also confusing his daughter and granddaughter in his memories.
Great reaction. I have always loved this song because it feels like you are there in the song. Diamond Girl is a good song by them too. Enjoy your cool weather we are still 105 in Arizona today UGH. Summer is forever here. LOL. ❤✌
@@SaeedReacts. If you want something in the line of this try "you made a home" it's a cowrithe between Cody and Scott Sean White , or try "always wanted to" if you want a little more uptempo try till you can't
