Akane is not only an excellent drummer, she's also the happiest drummer on Earth. Jimmy Page was so impressed when he saw them live he went backstage to get a selfie with her.
Tony, jimmy page actually came back stage to have a photo taken with me but Akane photo-bombed the picture. I never did get to have my photo taken with him.😔
Such a great clip of these Rock Goddesses, it's got it all, power, precision, performance and personality which all adds up to perfection, what a fcken band , enjoy Rockville, this Aussie Madiac wishes he could be there too, Viva the Maids peace and love Po 👍🎼🥁🎤🎸🍻
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 When Band-Maid played as opening act for Guns N' Roses concert in Japan on Nov.6, this "Freedom" was not played but "Domination" and "Daydreaming", which you have reacted to, were. And I believe "Freedom" was played in all of the concerts during their US tour (13 venues) in Oct. and Nov. Drum solo? Yeah! Akane did it, of course, always smiling 😄
I saw them at a small venue in Phoenix, Arizona Oct 19th, only 500 people. You could feel the love between the band and their fans. If they ever play close to where you are DON’T MISS THEM. It was great that my daughter shared the fun with me. One of my favorite all time concert experiences.
After ten years they still look as if they genuinely love what they do. They never just go through the motions. Every performance is different and fun. They never just release music for the sake of it. Always fun , always evolving and always smiling. Just can't help but feel better watching them play.
*Akane Hirose* the happiest drummer on the planet with the greatest rock group. That’s awesome you’re going to see them at Rockville it should be a great time but you better get there early because the *BAND-MAID* army comes in force. 😁
Great reaction yet again, you are one of the very few people who do not interrupt the songs. Well done.!!!! Just look at these ladies enjoying every minutes on stage, especially Akane, what a lovely lady she must be, she always seems happy, but then, don't they all, they scream happiness and joy. And Akane's drum solo is sooooooooooooo brilliant, and just look at her face oh my dog!!!
I was there, too - posted up right in front of the mixing desk. The sound guy was so dialed that he basically just stood there enjoying the show himself.
They love playing this - during their October tour they played it most nights and as far as I can tell Akane ad libs the solo every night - it's always different. They owe Europe a tour but kinda hoping they make another pass through the middle of the US when they come in May... SLC, Denver, KC, StL. Memphis, Nashville, Altanta (and they still haven't been to the historic rock and roll cities like Cleveland or Detroit). It's an eye-opener when Japanese visit the U.S. Their whole country is basically the size of California and Oregon. Here, that's not even the whole "west coast," and only a third or a quarter of what we would consider "the far West". Then there's the Rocky Mountains, the plains, the Great Lakes, the mid-west, the South, the eastern seaboard, New England ... "vast" doesn't even seem to adequately describe it.
I'm really looking forward to your review / reaction after you see the Maids at Rockville. I only wish you could experience a full Maid show -- but I'm sure that will come. Thx, Jynger!
2:27 These gals sure do rock! I saw them when they met up with the Warning, both bands really like each other which is great as someday we might see them on the same bill! No mistaking that you like them, to me they’re very similar in many ways to the Warning. I do think that they need to learn English though, if they want to go around the world it may be important for them.
Besides the great drum solo/guitar solo part, this is the video you play when you want to show how much fun this band has on stage. Their crowd interaction is off the chart and you'll see that live. They're just plain FUN. I think I recalled that you preferred some of the harder, more "metal" like songs, and while the ladies are definitely in the hard rock area more than metal, I wanted to throw out some of their harder songs that I think you'll enjoy. First and foremost, you MUST check out their new instrumental "From Now On" - the official MV. It's hard and it's epic! Another of the hard ones is the Rinne MV. If you like Guns and Roses I think you'll like the Dice MV also, and an oldie of theirs but a goodie "The Non-Fiction Days." There are plenty more and if you are cool with doing audio only there are scads of winners in the maidography. Enjoy!
Thanks for responding to "freedom". This catchy song gives the viewers a chance to smile three times. ① The song itself gives me power and makes me smile. ②It makes me smile when I see the audience skillfully participating in the song and becoming one. (3) Seeing Akane's smiling face makes me smile unintentionally.
You'll love them live. I saw them in October. It was the second best concert I've ever been to (Metallica in '91). I don't think you've done Nemophila yet. I suggest starting with "Oiran" (UA-cam version).
This live video of "Freedom" was the one that pushed me over the edge to being a full-fledged Madiac and confirmed my love of Akane. I saw them live in Chicago about 2 months ago and you are in for an incredible time!
I’m looking forward to seeing them live to hopefully they come back across USA 🇺🇸 again if they do I’m going to see them live like in Boston or New York and I’m Canadian so hoping they do more wanna see them live badly myself I’m a bass player so I’m hoping to be close to Misa side of stage Band-Maid best band in the world 🌎 😊🤘
Hopefully Band-Maid gets 45 minutes at least and not 30 minutes. That's 4 more songs! No Fun MC's either. Hope it's not sweltering. They'll have Awesome new songs by then too. Peace. 8.73
I have my ticket as well, for Rockville, along with many of us here. It would be a crime to not see them in my own home state. So glad they are finally coming to Florida. I hope they like it so much that they will add Florida to the next US tour. You reacted well to this fun and catchy song.
Dear Jynger! Greetings again from Shizuoka City on a bright crispy winter day under the benign care of white Mount Fuji! You started that trip with Domination and I'm afraid like most of us you will never be able to get out of that rabbit hole, especially considering they can now tour abroad which has always been their main goal. You will have to catch up quick and fast though, lol! May I humbly suggest you check their latest instrumental, From Now On and their latest song, Influencer to witness their unending progress! Mind you, you have 100 more songs, all different, to check! LOL Always looking forward to your smiling reactions! Best regards, happy new year and all that! Robert-Gilles
Love these ladies...did you say Rockville? The Warning will be there too. I'll get to see my two favorite new bands! If you do a reaction to the Warning, try Evolve Thanks I'll be there in May!

Another great reaction ... if you're heading to a gig I'd recommend "From Now On" only recently released ... it's on their live setlist and is just indescribably brilliant :)
Would you mind reacting to HammerFall - Brotherhood? They are a Swedish band, and one of the important bands. They saved Metal in 1993 😅, I think you might like them and the singers voice
Hi, Nice reaction ! Please react to KAMELOT - The Song title is "ELIZABETH (I, II & III) LIVE". It's a really good piece of music. Roy Khan is a fantastic singer. The song tells the story of Elizabeth Báthory, a Hungarian countess who was accused of killing hundreds of girls and women, for their blood, in order to stay forever young.
I've tried several times to like them, but it's just not my cup of tea. Course i'm a prog head. I'm happy for them though. Hope they have continued success!
I never did get to have my photo taken with him.😔
BAND-MAID aren't show-offs but they do show off their awesome playing skills. World Domination in 2023.😁

Knowing some of the bands you love and knowing the line-up of Rockville, you're going to have a fucking blast, for sure! I'm so happy for you!!

Nice reaction👍次は“From now on”かな?😉
I have my tickets for Rockville as well... thanks for the reaction!
That’s awesome! Going to be an amazing time! You’re welcome my friend!
Looked up Star quality in the dictionary and it says "Band-Maid". ;)
I was fortunate enough to catch them on their US tour and this was one of the songs they played at the DC show. They sound even better in person live.
I saw them in Seattle Oct 12th. Awesome band. They sounded just as good in Seattle as in the official live videos. Better. There is no trickery.
I saw them at that show too, it was an amazing concert. It was worth it just to hear Miku make the hentai joke lol.
I was there, too - posted up right in front of the mixing desk. The sound guy was so dialed that he basically just stood there enjoying the show himself.

Saw them in Houston because i thought there wasnt a chance theyd come to Florida but now with Rockville i plan on seeing again!
BAND-MAID'S Freedom = Happy Pills in Musical Form!!🤘😋🤘
You're gonna LOVE seeing 'em live!
Thanks again!🤘🤩🤘

They do speak English !
LOL!!!! "Trailer Park Boys"...the best! I always say this performance is MISA's 3:45 bass solo. The Maids Always bring it!
Lol the new poster seems to be a hit! Love those guys! Yeah they are incredible at what they do! Can’t wait to see them live

I got Rockville tickets mostly just to see the Maids!
Nice! It’s going to be one hell of a 4 days!
You'll love them live. I saw them in October. It was the second best concert I've ever been to (Metallica in '91).
I don't think you've done Nemophila yet. I suggest starting with "Oiran" (UA-cam version).
BAND-MAID just makes me happy.
Glad to hear you are seeing them live! Being in that crowd is electric.
One of my fav Band-Maid songs/performances. Cheers and keep that good vibes going!!!

Great reaction Jynger! Here's wishing you a Happy New Year. It sounds like it will be starting well with the upcoming Band Maid concert.
Thank you my friend and same to you!

Hoping for a World tour next year so that Rockville will be a stop between Middle / South America and Europe ;-)

Has anyone said that you looked like Avril Lavigne sometimes? 😊💖
That is a first! Thank you 😊
Hy They have a new instrumental song: From now on 😉 You will enjoy that 😉
ロックは 世界を平和に! 導いていく、、かも!!?、、ね!!。

My guilty pleasure, happy song. Can't listen to it and not feel good
🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀
I've tried several times to like them, but it's just not my cup of tea. Course i'm a prog head. I'm happy for them though. Hope they have continued success!
Akane...powered by bananas! She isn't called "The Gorilla" for nothing. And, you have to love Kanami trolling Miku.
Because Miku insisted on "My Way! My Way! My Way!," we now have the best live band on the planet.
I listened to some BAND-MAID today. It was a pretty good day.
I like your poster. Ⓑⓤⓑⓑⓛⓔⓢ is my favorite character.
Bubbles is the best!
