The fact that Eli has the same number of super bowl rings as Peyton Manning is just perfection. Two very different careers but at the end of the day both will have the same number of rings and both will be in the Hall of Fame.
Felt like I was sitting in sports bar watching the game with Peyton and Eli. I watched the whole game because it was a unique experience, something I rarely do if my team is not playing. MNF becomes must watch for me now, something it hasn't been for quite a while.
Yeah, as a Cowboys fan, I didn't have much interest in the game. But now I'll probably watch every MNF game so I can listen to them break down the plays and all that. Genius move by ESPN.

I loved Peyton’s focus and concentration in the fourth quarter. He was really into it. Made me think of Dan Dierdorf when he was announcing. Always felt he was watching the same things I was. I’ll be back!

Tuned in during the 4th quarter. Wilson is MY Quarterback and seeing him kick it with the Manning Brothers calling the plays realtime was a blast. Loved it. Can't wait for more😉🤞🚬
The way the show went in the first 3 quarters were kinda "meh" for me. When Russel Wilson joined in and they started breaking down and detailing almost every play, that was when it felt really good and interesting to me.
Thank you for throwing your support behind this. Getting to hear the banter and stories was a treat. And getting to see the genuine real time thought process made me a smarter football person lol. If ESPN has any brains, they gotta support this.
The truth is that I don’t think I’m speaking only for myself when I say the real reason we want to hear an athlete do color commentary is because we want to know what it would be like to 1) watch the game with a great player 2) want to know what it feels like to be a player In the game and learn insider info. Peyton and Eli- are exactly what we hoped that all those players turned color commentators would be!!’ Watching football with Peyton is like listening to music with Mozart 👍👍👍
The beginning was a little rough, but, it ended up being AMAZING. I absolutely loved the advanced football class with Ray Lewis and Russell Wilson. I loved Eli crackin in jokes in between. My only complaint is that the Halftime show should've been them talking.
There’s a lot of us out there that would simply turn off the regular network commentary if given the option. This was definitely needed. People just want to relax and be entertained at the end of the day, and not feel like we’re getting ready for a statistic class/lecture. The dry analytical corporate approach isn’t cutting it anymore, and why we’re seeing this unfold. Be real and we’ll be there to watch.
There was a trial in the 70s where they had one game with no announcers, just the televised game, and it was horrible. This I recorded and watched after the game and it was terrific!

Russ with the Manning boys was fun. I even liked Eli and I thought he was boring AF as a player. Calling plays, breaking it down. The fact that we have Zoom and the ability to bring people in these days is cool. ZERO, FIELD GOAL, DELAY OF GAME, TOUCHDOWN.
Eli would never say something like that unprovoked. Even provoked he would be humble and talk about the defense and the great catches by his receivers.
The Mannings have been at it for 41 years. They grew up together so the chemistry is natural. Rich Eisen shouldn't feel bad he's only been at it 7 years.

I loved it absolutely! Some of the play language went right over my head but It had me glued. A show for the advanced fan and the fan that’s not necessarily a hardcore fan of the teams that are playing. I’m a Broncos fan , I HATE the raiders, I absolutely loved it! I’ll be back.

This was great except for the fact that there were waaay too many graphics all over the screen and the game sound was too low in the mix. I felt like I was watching twich, but the banter and QB insight was a treat.
For everyone who jokes about Twitch and streaming, kids “watching others play video games”, this was pretty much the same thing. You are watching this stream for both the content of what is in the background (in this case the football game) while enjoying the commentary or antics or *fill in the blank here* that their favorite streamers do that makes them enjoyable to that individual. How many of you wouldn’t get a Twitch account if Peyton and Eli decided to start their own channel and do this stuff along with breaking down film etc? Truth is a lot of people would because it would be very entertaining, you would learn, laugh and get to watch football and learn about the game you love and have been watching or playing your entire life.
First quarter was a little rough. Felt like the plays were coming faster than they could keep up... I'm sure those 2 could spent all day breaking down 1 game. But by the 4th quarter they were getting a good rythym. It's better than MNF broadcast has been for years.
Local Radio host nailed it. If it is two teams you are not vested in, it feels a way better way to watch it. If it is my team, I am choosing play by play every time. I compare it to the draft watch party you hosted. If it is slow or your team is not up, it was way better.

I think this is the Romo effect that people who have been watching for years want more nuance. I know what cover 2 is, I know what cover 0 is, my cousin doesn't because he likes baseball. I will solo much more enjoy a detail game, but if im at a bar with my cousin, I want him to enjoy it so we watch again.
It's not the future, it's a niche.. Some people prefer the format you seem to enjoy and others prefer the standard method that has been used since the inception of televised or broadcasting sports.. It's a preference.. Not knocking either..
