Me too, I just caught up with the finale today and I didn't read any spoilers beforehand so I really didn't see his death coming! I actually really enjoyed this season but now my soul's been crushed :( So gutted, I don't know if I'll even be able to watch the next season without him!
First time I've felt this way about the death of a fictional character too. I now understand... And agreed, it was just for shock value. So stupid. One of the best characters ever written but his death sent the world the wrong message - that people in his situation aren't capable or worthy of a good life, healing, and a happy ending (even for a while) with the one they love. It's not fair and it's not right. Great video by the way, and love the music.
You are not alone. Peter Quinn loved Carrie unconditionally, despite everything, Quinn was always there to save Carrie, to ground her, to protect her, he didn't expect anything in return. He is a true gentleman. But they never happened, just one kiss. The ending was really sad. The storyline for Peter Quinn was so sad.
Brody was self-centered and not good enough for Carrie. He caused her nervous breakdown, so I didn't care when he was written out. But Quinn loved Carrie from day one. He refused orders from Estes to kill Brody in the season 2 finale, because he loved Carrie so much that he knew Brody dying would break her for a second time. That is true, unselfish love. I am rooting for them and hope the writers don't kill him off.
Spoiler they killed him. It was already so tragic that they made him get severely poisoned in season 5. And then kill him😢😭. I loved him and shipped him with Carrie so much. And all the producers could give us was one kiss. They deserved a chance.

I don’t think that Brody was selfish. He was broken. There’s a difference, a huge one. He was tortured for 8 long years and never gave up any intelligence of his country ( Nazyr said so when he forced Brody to teach his son English).

On one hand if she had said yes, they would both have gone out of the CIA and live a normal life which isn't interesting to watch. On the other hand since she said no Quinn stayed in that dark counterterrorism world and ended up severely poisoned and finally killed. It was so painful to watch and sad. I wanted a happy ending for them

mc a_a spoiler he gets severely poisoned in season 5 while trying to catch terrorists. He survives but loses his spark, his will to live. And then in season 6 he's killed while being with Carrie. It's very sad. Since season 5 the show kinda went to shit. I mean, they couldn't make up another terrorist and do the same as with Nazir and with Haqqani since it would be boring. But what they did wasn't really fun to watch.
I truly believed that he died in the finale. Is it strange that this video changed my mind about that? It just made me realise even more that his death makes no sense. There are so many things that haven't happened yet. Peter Quinn is an unfinished character. Killing him would be contradicting a lot of things that have been said and shown during the seasons. Especially 'I've rarely seen someone fight so hard to stay alive.' I don't want to hope. Because homeland is known the break hearts. But I know that the show is well written and doesn't do something without a reason. I guess I fail to see the reason in ending Quinn. Brilliant video and thank you for that spark of hope.

They better make him alright or else it would feel like his character was not that necessary to the story. To me Quinn has always been the one that would save Carrie and her him. Homeland has to end with them standing side by side.

+IrinaRusinova but you're right. Killing him is déjà vue to what they did to Brody. The show will be on a loop. Having his fate being different to Brody's would be a much more interesting plot line for the show. Homeland needs a little light to balance out the darkness.

Carrie and Quinn deserved better. Wow, beautiful job of editing this all - very moving! This was truly one of the saddest finales I've ever seen. No idea if he will come back next season or not, but he sure made an impact on this show. We have a long time to wait to find out.

i have NEVER cried from any movie or tv show before in my entire 30 years of life, but this show....the episode when carrie saw him on the tv in the cafe and watched the video with astrid i cried, and this finale i absolutely sobbed like a baby...beautiful
+Laurena R i know , right? i was crying so hard when i heard WE NEVER HAPPENED and I LOVED YOU. actually i was crying all the way during this scene. i thought it would be exactly the same as it was on Dexter and i couldnt take it , not with Quinn. oh god NO, JUST NO. im so happy she didnt do it, im pretty sure she wont ! the light in my opinion symbolizes life, not death, as Quinn said "the darkness has me now". she just cant give him to this darkness. and he was breathing himself, he was stable, so i think he still has chances to recover because it happens even in real life not to mention on tv shows
you are absolutely 100% correct on that! 2 years ago my family was told my mother had no chance and would die for sure when she was in the hospital with sepsis and full organ failure, i even said goodbye to her through skype(she was in a hospital in florida and i live in buffalo) and 2 years later she is alive and well living here with me. so it does happen in real life without a doubt. and you are right, the signs at the end did not point toward death at all, i'm remembering how dar said that if his condition didnt improve soon it would bring him to zero chance of improvement or however he said it, and i'm thinking that the moment the sun came in the window they're going to say he suddenly gained more brain function and escaped that narrow window. but honestly either way i am ok with it. i read an article on how homeland did uncertain death just right and that they handled this with an incredible amount of grace and i have to agree, i've never seen the death of any character (if this was indeed death) handled so gracefully, and that is why it moved so many people to tears. they really did a phenomenal job.

i do agree with that too lol i will watch the first episode of the next season to see if he is alive and if not then thats it for me as well. they will lose half of their viewers in that way so if they want to keep the show alive, they have to keep quinn alive.
but i honestly do not think he is going to be dead. if that were the case they would have showed carrie actually killing him at the end of the episode, and instead they had the light come in the room giving hope...i hope the next season will be carrie taking care of him as he recovers

I have no idea what the world of black ops is actually like, but quinn strikes me as a he'll of a lot more realistic than james bond, etc. Quinn has a lot of the same skills, but he reacts to all the killing he's asked to do like a human being - he's traumatized by it, and it slowly deadens him. Also, I liked that he couldn't just withstand any physical injury. I'll never understand that Carrie has several romantic relationships in almost every seasons (even with Aayan!), and only one kiss with Quinn!! He almost died at least three times for protecting her!! Even died in season 6 finale just for her!! This get me so frustrated because it seems portraying us as we have the pure of love in front of our eyes and ignored it just like that!.. I do love you Quinn - after Brody! The best character in Homeland after Saul!! ❤️ Why couldn't the writers give us a Carrie/Quinn love scene he loved her! Astrid’s death was so damn heartbreaking... Also I found Astrid's death disheartening cuz she would have defeated the bad guy! She had him. And then she realized what was about to happen before she died. Agree, so wanted the happily ever after with Carrie and Quinn. Also nobody mentions that Saul was involved in the waking up of Quinn from his coma. She got all the blame. Irritated me that lol! Carrie doesn't deserve Quinn. He’s too gracious for her. His love is too big for her, and Carrie never appreciate him. I’m so sad for Quinn. He’s the best. We can say that Quinn was one of the best-built characters in history - alongside Carrie, Brody, Saul, Dar Adal (and Astrid, Max, Fara, Virgil, Maggie)... Claire Danes and mandy patinkin NOT for rupert friend so he's gone after exploiting his phenomenal acting talent. Quinn could have definitely recovered from foot drop and aphasia with therapy and been directing black ops so all a spin saying he couldn't. Writers did not honor soldiers affected with ptsd or war injuries rather made them look expendable. Seson 2 episode 4 throughout season 6 let the attraction between quinn and carrie solidify right up until they murdered quinn!!!!
Thank you for this amazing video, Irina. I was finally able to cry, watching it. He was wrong. Darkness never had him. He was always the light in the lives of those who relied on him. He lived and died proving it. He didn't deserve it. Death? Maybe. For a character that complex , as a writer, I would say he was probably doomed to be dead. But what was done to him was just unfair. Yeah, people like that don't get normal life, don't get normal love, they die nameless... But it feels so unfair. I gotta give it to the writers - a character who made so many scream in agony over all that was done to him... It's an ingenius work. Darkness doesn't have him. Never had. He is at peace.
I loved this season- totally took Homeland to a new level but I was so crying my eyes out by the end of the series! Enough time has now passed that I can appreciate seeing these clips compiled without 'losing it.' You've done a wonderful job with this montage. Thanks for your effort. I have no idea what the black op world is like, now Quinn looks much more realistic than James Bond, etc. Quinn has many of the same abilities, now he reacts to all the murders he is asked to do as a human being - he is traumatized by it, and it cushions him slowly. Furthermore, I liked that he couldn't just endure any physical injury. Quinn was my favorite character (with Dar Adal, Brody, Carrie and Saul). I was devastated when he was killed. His passion for his job and his love for Carrie was bar none. He faced so many insurmountable challenges. I honestly was hoping he would not die. Homeland is not the same without Quinn. I can honestly say this is the only series I have ever watched where I was so moved. I felt as if I had lost a family member. I sitting here typing recalling his death and tears are welling up in my eyes. I will never forget Quinn, you never got the credit you so truly deserved. You are missed now and forever. I akmost wish they would have just ended Quinn at rhe end of Season 5. To drag it out for a whole year and make him suffer and then BAM kill him off at the end was cruel! Still sad :( Homeland never will be the same without Peter Quinn. I'll miss you😢 Carrie needs to confess to him that she loves him. been waiting for 4-5 seasons now... carrie...in some way...you killed him. !!!

She craves attention from those who try to distance themselves from her and shuns those who really care for her. As Saul said, she is the smartest and the dumbest person on the show. I also think that she is scared of real intimacy. That is why she always ends up in doomed relationships. With Quinn, she sees an actual opportunity to live a happy life and that scares her as it did, when she was about to become a mother.

Lately, it seems that all my favorites TV shows have a cruel tendency to kill off my favorites characters. Beth in the Walking Dead, and now... Quinn in Homeland. I hope so much that they are both alive, though the chances are thin.
Don't put your hopes up for Beth. I was devastated as well. I don't know if you've seen all the rest of the episodes, until the mid season finale in s06, so all I'm saying is don't hope for Beth.. As for Quinn..all we can all do is wait until October and find out. Season 6 will clear this whole thing up. I really hope Quinn is alive, for Carrie, they have to "happen". Beautiful shows..

This was a beautiful video! I'm with you as far as Quinn being alive still; I don't think he's dead. But on the other hand I could see the writers being like, "Yep, he's gone for good." So I guess I don't really know what to think. I don't want to get my hopes up only to have them crushed.
I really love Carrie. Truly outstanding and oddly perfect character! Some of her qualities are pretty rare in female tv-characters but to speak in relation to Quinn, she didn't deserve such a huge dedication an love from him.. I can't deny that she loves him at some point and she might be a good friend but smh it wasn't obvious enough to me through these 4 seasons.. it's just, I would get the feeling that she took the way more from Peter than gave him, like, all the time.. and he deserves much muuuuch more love and care than Carrie could give him personally (well, at least so far).. idk I totally could be wrong though (cus my addiction to him is quite unhealthy) it's not necessarily the truth, it's simply how I see things, that's it :) Fingers Crossed for my baby Quinn to be alive

Honestly, I believe she loved Brody very much and gave him evertything, but she is missing the chance to have somthing real again, with a man that always puts her first. he deserves better, I think the german agent could be that better for him, but I must admit I liked him with Carrie since they first met, truly damaged, but redeemable.

Exactly. The writers were dumb for hooking up Carrie with Brody. In real life she would be fired and ruined for life hooking up with a traitor on top of having his baby. Smh Quinn was perfect for her. The writers were dumber for not seeing that fact. They should had killed of Brody in season 2 and never let Carrie had sex with that traitor. Than Quinn and Carrie would be a couple.
i just discovered this show and it has so captivated me. Claire Danes is an amazing actress! the finale to Season 5 absolutely broke my heart! I hope Quinn returns but not as her boyfriend....they'll ruin it totally.
I must be a masochist for watching this video... but it was just perfect, and I cried, as I knew I would. Somehow, most of the characters I seem to love in TV shows end up dying or leaving, but I just love Quinn so much, I've never loved a TV show character that way before. I'm so angry the writers made him suffer that much, especially last season, only to make him end up like this. It's not fair, it's not right. it would make sense in Homeland fashion for him to be dead, even for Carrie to off him, but here's to hoping writers perform some (christmas) miracle that leaves both critics and us shippers satisfied. I just wish Rupert got more screen time this season and Quinn some frickin happiness before 'the end'. Also, very similar to what happens with Vanessa and Ethan in Penny Dreadful.
Carrie and Yevgeny is every bit what Carrie and Quinn would've looked like had they just been honest with themselves. Neither one could give up the spy life for a normal one. That's what set them on different paths, and ultimately what led to Quinn dying. I preferred her with Quinn, but she stands a chance with Yevgeny.

I don't know why so many keep wanting Quinn to be with Carrie. She is not in love with him at all. Time and time again she has showed that her priorities were elsewhere. When Brody was alive, she was obsessed with him and all her actions were about him and for him. She disobeyed orders and went to great length to clear Brody's name. With Quinn, she keeps tossing him aside and only comes to him when she needed something. Remember when she was delusional in season 4? When she was stopped by a security guard, she imagined that it was Quinn; she saw him as this nagging person who kept putting obstacles at her. In contrast when she imagined Brody, she was yearning for him and for his forgiveness. Never had Carrie showed a deep emotional attachment toward Quinn. Even when they kissed, it was as if she thought to herself she might as well try it with him because he was there and she knew he loved her but on her side it was nothing deep, hence she seemed to have moved on pretty well without him. Carrie of course cares for Quinn but only as a friend because season 5 confirmed to me that she had other things in mind over Quinn. She left him injured and only thought about him days later. For all she knew, he might have been dead yet she didn't seemed that much more upset. When she was pensive on the road, I thought she was going to wonder about Quinn's well-being but no, instead she was thinking ofJonas. Like WTF, remember Quinn who saved your life and is gravely injured? Even if these two eventually end up together, I don't think it will be convincing considering how Carrie has been treating him since the beginning. After what Quinn went through, realistically he would not be the old Quinn and would now have limited capacity. If Carrie ends up with him later, I would feel like she's with him only out of pity. Really, Carrie does not deserves Quinn. For the life of me, I don't understand why so many are still hoping for these two to be together.
I think it's your opinion, what is your way of seeing things. If so many people would like Carrie and Quinn end up together it's perhaps because they feel their relationship differently. Although the great love of Carrie remain Brody, it obviously also has feelings for Quinn. In addition, Quinn's feelings for her astray are true. He is willing to sacrifice for it. Until then, nobody had done that for her. He loves unconditionally. That's why we want to see them together. Quinn is the only person who loves Carrie enough despite its flaws. Omg I rematches the entire series to see what I had missed cuz your video didn't make sense to me. I MISSED the last episode of season 4. The one that really told the story of their love. It makes sense now!!!! I'm devastated over him.....them all over again. Can Carrie just catch a break so she can really love someone who knows her, gets her good, bad and the ugly. He told her he would be a beacon of light to steer her away from the rocks. Then she goes to end his life and gets doused in light. Personally I thought that was a great big "HEY DON'T DO THIS" sign when the finale aired.
Am i the only one that feels carrie doesn't deserve quinn. From thinking he intentionally let that cia station chief die in Pakistan to still risking her life after he got shot protecting her to waking him up for information he didn't have. She never even truly loved him. it was so painful. She had so many chances to actually be with him.

First time I've felt this way about the death of a fictional character too. I now understand... And agreed, it was just for shock value. So stupid. One of the best characters ever written but his death sent the world the wrong message - that people in his situation aren't capable or worthy of a good life, healing, and a happy ending (even for a while) with the one they love. It's not fair and it's not right. Great video by the way, and love the music.
You are not alone. Peter Quinn loved Carrie unconditionally, despite everything, Quinn was always there to save Carrie, to ground her, to protect her, he didn't expect anything in return. He is a true gentleman. But they never happened, just one kiss. The ending was really sad. The storyline for Peter Quinn was so sad.
Brody was self-centered and not good enough for Carrie. He caused her nervous breakdown, so I didn't care when he was written out. But Quinn loved Carrie from day one. He refused orders from Estes to kill Brody in the season 2 finale, because he loved Carrie so much that he knew Brody dying would break her for a second time. That is true, unselfish love. I am rooting for them and hope the writers don't kill him off.

I don’t think that Brody was selfish. He was broken. There’s a difference, a huge one. He was tortured for 8 long years and never gave up any intelligence of his country ( Nazyr said so when he forced Brody to teach his son English).

On one hand if she had said yes, they would both have gone out of the CIA and live a normal life which isn't interesting to watch. On the other hand since she said no Quinn stayed in that dark counterterrorism world and ended up severely poisoned and finally killed. It was so painful to watch and sad. I wanted a happy ending for them

mc a_a spoiler he gets severely poisoned in season 5 while trying to catch terrorists. He survives but loses his spark, his will to live. And then in season 6 he's killed while being with Carrie. It's very sad. Since season 5 the show kinda went to shit. I mean, they couldn't make up another terrorist and do the same as with Nazir and with Haqqani since it would be boring. But what they did wasn't really fun to watch.

Is it strange that this video changed my mind about that? It just made me realise even more that his death makes no sense. There are so many things that haven't happened yet. Peter Quinn is an unfinished character. Killing him would be contradicting a lot of things that have been said and shown during the seasons. Especially 'I've rarely seen someone fight so hard to stay alive.'
I don't want to hope. Because homeland is known the break hearts. But I know that the show is well written and doesn't do something without a reason. I guess I fail to see the reason in ending Quinn.

They better make him alright or else it would feel like his character was not that necessary to the story. To me Quinn has always been the one that would save Carrie and her him. Homeland has to end with them standing side by side.

Out of all the badass spies I have seen over the years Peter Quinn is the most realistic one! I would have liked to see if Carrie would meet her match in Quinn. There were some romantic sparks between Peter and Carrie over the years, and there was the letter he left for her when he was leaving on a dangerous mission, the photo of her she found among his things after his death. Why do you think the romance between them never fully developed?

Wow, beautiful job of editing this all - very moving! This was truly one of the saddest finales I've ever seen. No idea if he will come back next season or not, but he sure made an impact on this show. We have a long time to wait to find out.

+Laurena R i know , right? i was crying so hard when i heard WE NEVER HAPPENED and I LOVED YOU. actually i was crying all the way during this scene. i thought it would be exactly the same as it was on Dexter and i couldnt take it , not with Quinn. oh god NO, JUST NO. im so happy she didnt do it, im pretty sure she wont ! the light in my opinion symbolizes life, not death, as Quinn said "the darkness has me now". she just cant give him to this darkness. and he was breathing himself, he was stable, so i think he still has chances to recover because it happens even in real life not to mention on tv shows
you are absolutely 100% correct on that! 2 years ago my family was told my mother had no chance and would die for sure when she was in the hospital with sepsis and full organ failure, i even said goodbye to her through skype(she was in a hospital in florida and i live in buffalo) and 2 years later she is alive and well living here with me. so it does happen in real life without a doubt. and you are right, the signs at the end did not point toward death at all, i'm remembering how dar said that if his condition didnt improve soon it would bring him to zero chance of improvement or however he said it, and i'm thinking that the moment the sun came in the window they're going to say he suddenly gained more brain function and escaped that narrow window. but honestly either way i am ok with it. i read an article on how homeland did uncertain death just right and that they handled this with an incredible amount of grace and i have to agree, i've never seen the death of any character (if this was indeed death) handled so gracefully, and that is why it moved so many people to tears. they really did a phenomenal job.

I have no idea what the world of black ops is actually like, but quinn strikes me as a he'll of a lot more realistic than james bond, etc. Quinn has a lot of the same skills, but he reacts to all the killing he's asked to do like a human being - he's traumatized by it, and it slowly deadens him. Also, I liked that he couldn't just withstand any physical injury.
I'll never understand that Carrie has several romantic relationships in almost every seasons (even with Aayan!), and only one kiss with Quinn!! He almost died at least three times for protecting her!! Even died in season 6 finale just for her!! This get me so frustrated because it seems portraying us as we have the pure of love in front of our eyes and ignored it just like that!.. I do love you Quinn - after Brody! The best character in Homeland after Saul!! ❤️

We can say that Quinn was one of the best-built characters in history - alongside Carrie, Brody, Saul, Dar Adal (and Astrid, Max, Fara, Virgil, Maggie)... It would be possible to clarify the following doubts:
- Would you like to see Homeland reveal how the CIA explained Brody in Iran and his death to the American press?
- Clearly, Javadi's ability to receive credit for Brody's capture helped his cause in Iran, but did the US government reveal Brody's role in Akbari's murder?
- Was your name cleared for the CIA attack? I'd love to know what you think.
- Another loose thread: Paul Franklin and the murder of the "real" CIA bomber. He ended up doing that scene ... why ??
Carrie was publicly humiliated, beaten, doped, shot and put her life on the line countless times without hesitation, just to make others see Brody as she saw him ... and she succeeded. Abu Nazir, the CIA, Jessica and the show's own audience, no one came close to seeing Brody with the clarity Carrie has always seen. Carrie has always read Brody like no one else.
Ah, Carrie's dialogue with Javadi was incredible, it will be one of the most memorable moments in the series, without a doubt!

- How did Carrie see Brody? and how did the US come to see this? It's the world?
Claire Danes and mandy patinkin NOT for rupert friend so he's gone after exploiting his phenomenal acting talent. Quinn could have definitely recovered from foot drop and aphasia with therapy and been directing black ops so all a spin saying he couldn't. Writers did not honor soldiers affected with ptsd or war injuries rather made them look expendable. Seson 2 episode 4 throughout season 6 let the attraction between quinn and carrie solidify right up until they murdered quinn!!!!

He was wrong. Darkness never had him. He was always the light in the lives of those who relied on him. He lived and died proving it.
He didn't deserve it. Death? Maybe. For a character that complex , as a writer, I would say he was probably doomed to be dead. But what was done to him was just unfair. Yeah, people like that don't get normal life, don't get normal love, they die nameless... But it feels so unfair.
I gotta give it to the writers - a character who made so many scream in agony over all that was done to him... It's an ingenius work.

I loved this season- totally took Homeland to a new level but I was so crying my eyes out by the end of the series! I have no idea what the black op world is like, now Quinn looks much more realistic than James Bond, etc. Quinn has many of the same abilities, now he reacts to all the murders he is asked to do as a human being - he is traumatized by it, and it cushions him slowly. Furthermore, I liked that he couldn't just endure any physical injury.
Quinn was my favorite character (with Dar Adal, Brody, Carrie and Saul). I was devastated when he was killed. His passion for his job and his love for Carrie was bar none. He faced so many insurmountable challenges. I honestly was hoping he would not die. Homeland is not the same without Quinn. I can honestly say this is the only series I have ever watched where I was so moved. I felt as if I had lost a family member. I sitting here typing recalling his death and tears are welling up in my eyes. I will never forget Quinn, you never got the credit you so truly deserved. You are missed now and forever. I akmost wish they would have just ended Quinn at rhe end of Season 5. To drag it out for a whole year and make him suffer and then BAM kill him off at the end was cruel! Still sad :(

It's because Carrie doesn't truly understand love. She is a complex character, although she is often reckless. She craves attention from those who try to distance themselves from her and shuns those who really care for her. As Saul said, she is the smartest and the dumbest person on the show.
I also think that she is scared of real intimacy. That is why she always ends up in doomed relationships. With Quinn, she sees an actual opportunity to live a happy life and that scares her as it did, when she was about to become a mother.

I'm with you as far as Quinn being alive still; I don't think he's dead. But on the other hand I could see the writers being like, "Yep, he's gone for good." So I guess I don't really know what to think. I don't want to get my hopes up only to have them crushed.
I really love Carrie. Truly outstanding and oddly perfect character! Some of her qualities are pretty rare in female tv-characters but to speak in relation to Quinn, she didn't deserve such a huge dedication an love from him.. I can't deny that she loves him at some point and she might be a good friend but smh it wasn't obvious enough to me through these 4 seasons.. it's just, I would get the feeling that she took the way more from Peter than gave him, like, all the time.. and he deserves much muuuuch more love and care than Carrie could give him personally (well, at least so far).. idk I totally could be wrong though (cus my addiction to him is quite unhealthy) it's not necessarily the truth, it's simply how I see things, that's it :) Fingers Crossed for my baby Quinn to be alive

Quinn is in no way perfect but we love him anyway....just like he loves Carrie. Inspite of her imperfections and because of them.

I must be a masochist for watching this video... but it was just perfect, and I cried, as I knew I would. Somehow, most of the characters I seem to love in TV shows end up dying or leaving, but I just love Quinn so much, I've never loved a TV show character that way before. I'm so angry the writers made him suffer that much, especially last season, only to make him end up like this. It's not fair, it's not right. If he is really gone and doesn't come back; I don't think I'll be able to watch this show ever again, no matter if this is my favourite show. Anyway, thank you for this video.

it would make sense in Homeland fashion for him to be dead, even for Carrie to off him, but here's to hoping writers perform some (christmas) miracle that leaves both critics and us shippers satisfied. I just wish Rupert got more screen time this season and Quinn some frickin happiness before 'the end'. Also, very similar to what happens with Vanessa and Ethan in Penny Dreadful.

Carrie and Yevgeny is every bit what Carrie and Quinn would've looked like had they just been honest with themselves. Neither one could give up the spy life for a normal one. That's what set them on different paths, and ultimately what led to Quinn dying. I preferred her with Quinn, but she stands a chance with Yevgeny.

Carrie cared about Quinn seasons 2-4 , idk what happened in season 5
I don't know why so many keep wanting Quinn to be with Carrie. She is not in love with him at all. Time and time again she has showed that her priorities were elsewhere. When Brody was alive, she was obsessed with him and all her actions were about him and for him. She disobeyed orders and went to great length to clear Brody's name. With Quinn, she keeps tossing him aside and only comes to him when she needed something.
Remember when she was delusional in season 4? When she was stopped by a security guard, she imagined that it was Quinn; she saw him as this nagging person who kept putting obstacles at her. In contrast when she imagined Brody, she was yearning for him and for his forgiveness. Never had Carrie showed a deep emotional attachment toward Quinn. Even when they kissed, it was as if she thought to herself she might as well try it with him because he was there and she knew he loved her but on her side it was nothing deep, hence she seemed to have moved on pretty well without him.
Carrie of course cares for Quinn but only as a friend because season 5 confirmed to me that she had other things in mind over Quinn. She left him injured and only thought about him days later. For all she knew, he might have been dead yet she didn't seemed that much more upset. When she was pensive on the road, I thought she was going to wonder about Quinn's well-being but no, instead she was thinking ofJonas. Like WTF, remember Quinn who saved your life and is gravely injured?
Even if these two eventually end up together, I don't think it will be convincing considering how Carrie has been treating him since the beginning. After what Quinn went through, realistically he would not be the old Quinn and would now have limited capacity. If Carrie ends up with him later, I would feel like she's with him only out of pity. Really, Carrie does not deserves Quinn. For the life of me, I don't understand why so many are still hoping for these two to be together.
I think it's your opinion, what is your way of seeing things. If so many people would like Carrie and Quinn end up together it's perhaps because they feel their relationship differently. Although the great love of Carrie remain Brody, it obviously also has feelings for Quinn. In addition, Quinn's feelings for her astray are true. He is willing to sacrifice for it. Until then, nobody had done that for her. He loves unconditionally. That's why we want to see them together. Quinn is the only person who loves Carrie enough despite its flaws. Yes, it's clear Quinn loves Carrie and is willing to sacrifice for her, but what about the other way around? It's not obvious that Carrie has feelings for him at all. She cares for him of course, but feelings as in 'in love'? I don't see it. Every action she has done so far shows otherwise.
It's because Carrie doesn't truly understand love. She is a complex character, although she is often reckless. She craves attention from those who try to distance themselves from her and shuns those who really care for her. As Saul said, she is the smartest and the dumbest person on the show.
Edit: I also think that she is scared of real intimacy. That is why she always ends up in doomed relationships. With Quinn, she sees an actual opportunity to live a happy life and that scares her as it did, when she was about to become a mother.

Omg I rematches the entire series to see what I had missed cuz your video didn't make sense to me. I MISSED the last episode of season 4. The one that really told the story of their love. It makes sense now!!!! I'm devastated over him.....them all over again. Can Carrie just catch a break so she can really love someone who knows her, gets her good, bad and the ugly. You video was beautiful and after some of these comments I'm hopeful of his future but after seeing how Brodiy died I will not be surprised if that was how Quinn leaves us.... Can't wait till the winter

Am i the only one that feels carrie doesn't deserve quinn. From thinking he intentionally let that cia station chief die in Pakistan to still risking her life after he got shot protecting her to waking him up for information he didn't have. She never even truly loved him. it was so painful. She had so many chances to actually be with him.
